The first and foremost thing that might be ticking your brains right now would be… Why have I named this book CHERRY BLOSSOMS? What’s the significance of this name?

Honestly, though I have never seen it but I have always been spellbound by Cherry Blossom and when I tried finding the hidden meaning of it, I was amazed to see how those tiny white and pink flowers teach us how precious yet precarious life is.

Life is like a bloom of Cherry Blossom, so beautiful yet so fragile. In words of Homaro Cantu, an innovator in post-modern cuisine and an internationally recognized leader in molecular gastronomy, “It is a reminder that life is almost overwhelmingly beautiful, but that it is also tragically short.”

Each year as spring follows, small pinkish-hued flowers on the branches of Cherry Blossom tree bloom in brilliant force without fretting how long they have been bestowed to grace the land with their splendor and effulgence. Cherry Blossom is just not a beautiful flowering tree but underneath that cover of ravishing beauteousness, it holds much larger and deeper significance. Be it love, friendship, solitude or longing, Cherry Blossom holds the deepest essence of life.

This CHERRY BLOSSOMS in here is a collection of poetries on life and everything that matters in our lives and that we hold dear to our hearts.

Why are we here?

What are we expected to do?

What are we supposed to be?

And just like that life holds endless questions, but alas we have answers to none. Life is too short to have any regrets or to hold any grudges. Cherish and embrace yourself. Live life the way you want and not the way everyone else expects you to, and at last you will be amazed by the wonders your life can do.

We only live once, right? Each one of us has been bestowed with this precious life for a reason… to do exhilarating things and to shine in our own brilliant force, very much like the bloom of Cherry Blossom.
