"Naruto, put it down!"

"No, hold on! I need to finish reading it!"

"You weren't supposed to read it in the first place, you nuthead!"

"Naruto!"

"Whoa, careful, Sasuke! You're gonna rip it!"

"It's going to rip if you don't let go!"

"Naruto! Sasuke!"

The only thing that echoed through the cave Team 7 found themselves standing in was the tearing of paper.

"S-Sakura..."

Sasuke and Naruto stared at their female teammate as she stood between them, holding the torn scroll. The ends were still in their hands, but the torn portions were in hers.

"When did you two get so childish?!" Sakura scoffed as she snatched the pieces from her teammates' hands and tried to roll the scroll back up.

"Hn..." Sasuke crossed his arms. He started it...

"Sorry, Sakura..." Naruto chuckled nervously.

"Be more careful next time." Sakura sighed in response, "now let's get back out to Kakashi-Sensei."

"Right." Naruto nodded and ran out to the entrance.

Sakura was ready to go follow, then she noticed Sasuke inspecting the scroll, "Sasuke, let's go."

"Wait." He only took the scroll and looked at the pieces closely, "we're not going to just leave this here."

"We have no idea what it is." Sakura held the pieces in Sasuke's hand, "so just leave it. We don't need it anymore. We'll just tell Sensei what happened."

"It doesn't matter if it was opened." Sasuke looked at her, "we're finishing the mission and getting this back to the village."

"But Naruto ruined things! It's no good!" Sakura held the pieces tighter, waiting for him to release his grip, "just leave it!"

"A mission's a mission!"

"But if they see the scroll like this!"

"Then they'll see it like this, but at least we'll bring something back."

"Sasuke!"

"Sakura!"

Suddenly, before any of them could react, the scroll started glowing.

"What the..."

The two dropped the pieces, but nothing happened. The cave started getting brighter and brighter.

'And whatever you do...' Kakashi informed the team, 'Do not open the scroll, no matter what the circumstances are.'

'What if you've been kidnapped by bandits?' Naruto urged.

'That's not going to happen.' Sasuke rolled his eyes.

'No sweat.' Sakura shrugged, 'it's just a simple C-Rank mission.'

'Yep. You three got this.' Kakashi smiled, 'I have faith in you.'

What... Sasuke thought to himself. Where am... Oh... The hospital. But how... Wait, the scroll... Where's Sakura?!

"What the?!"

Huh? Sasuke glanced over to where he heard the voice, but it sounded like his own, "a... Shadow clone?"

"Am I in some sort of Genjutsu?! Release!"

Nothing.

"Release! Release! Release! I never created any clones!"

Clones? What am I talking... Why am I talking to myself?! Sasuke stared at his clone in the other bed, "why am I talking to myself?"

"What do you mean?" The 'other' Sasuke shouted, "you're me!"

"What? Stop yelling! This is... Wait..." My voice... He slowly looked down at himself, and he suddenly realized he was no longer... A 'he', "what's going on?!"

"Sasuke, is that you?" Sasuke asked.

"Hold on..." the girl groped at her hair and stared. It was pink, "S-Sakura?! Oh please, don't tell me..."

Sasuke's shout rang through the hospital hallways, "We switched bodies?!"

"Whoa, Sasuke!" Naruto ran through the door, "you're awfully lou--"

He was suddenly cut off by a fist meeting his cheek and sending him to the wall.

"Shut up, you nuthead!" Sasuke yelled as he punched Naruto again, "this is all your fault!"

"S-Sasuke?!" Naruto ran over to the silent kunoichi, "Sakura, what's going o-- Whoa, Sakura, you're blushing!"

Sakura didn't say anything. She just crossed her arms tighter over her chest and resisted the urge to punch him.

"Sakura? You okay?"

"You dummie!" Sasuke ran over to Naruto and grabbed the front of his shirt, "that's not me! That's Sasuke!"

"I am so confused..." Naruto rubbed his head.

Sakura finally stepped up and glared at the idiot, "Naruto! Sakura and I switched bodies, somehow!"

"So..." Naruto looked from Sasuke, who was still holding him by the collar, then to Sakura, who was glaring daggers at him, "this is weird... You guys wake up after a whole night and you're switched? Are you sure this isn't a weird prank? Well, then again, Sasuke would never agree to something like this..."

"Face it, Naruto! You're the one who did this!" Sasuke shouted.

"Sakura!" Sakura cringed, "this was our fault. Now we have to deal with it on our own!"

"Sasuke..." Sasuke calmed down, then dropped Naruto, "fine."

"So what are you two gonna do?" Naruto rubbed his neck, "does Lady Tsunade know about this yet?"

"Probably not." Sasuke sighed, "let alone Kakashi-Sensei."

"Ah!" Naruto took off running out the door, "I'll go get Kakashi-Sensei! He's just downstairs talking to Lady Tsunade!"

"This is so uncomfortable..." Sasuke muttered.

"Easy for you to say..." Sakura crossed her arms again, "I'm a girl..." At least her chest isn't as big as Tsunade's... Or any other girl's, for that matter... I'd kill myself...

"Sasuke."

Sakura looked at him.

"Sorry. I should've listened to you. This really is my fault. Maybe we could've avoided this if I just let you take whatever was left of the scroll."

Sakura stared at him, then shut her eyes and smirked, "heh. So now what?"

"Ah..." Sasuke blinked a few times, "we should wait for Lady Tsunade to tell us what to do. I really have no idea how we even got here."

"Just go along with it." Sakura shrugged, then grunted in annoyance as she tucked another strand of hair behind her ear. I need a hair-tie or something... Whatever girls call it. Damn, how'd we get here... She looked away and blushed a little, "ah... D-do you have a hair-tie or something? Your hair keeps getting in the way."

"Ha." Sasuke laughed, "well, you're lucky my hair's not as long as Ino's or Lady Tsunade's. Wait, where's my pouch?"

That's right... Sakura looked down. They changed our clothes, now we have no idea where anything is...

Sasuke checked the cabinet and found their stuff. He went through Sakura's pouch and found a rubber band, "okay, Sasuke, here you go."

Sakura walked over to him and took the rubber band. She ran her fingers through her hair and raked it back, but dropped the band in the process, "uh..."

Sasuke laughed, "you don't know how to tie your hair, do you?"

"Of course I don't!" Sakura picked up the hair tie, "and stop laughing..."

"Are you embarrassed?"

Sakura blushed and looked away again, "n-no... I don't laugh."

"Oh, sorry." Sasuke grinned and patted the bed, "come here, Sasuke."

Sakura rolled her eyes, "whatever. Just do it quickly before the idiot gets back."

She sat on the bed as Sasuke knelt behind her. He raked her pink hair back and tightened it into a small pony tail behind her head.

That feels so weird... Sakura squeezed her eyes shut. But... Weirdly good...

"Sasuke?"

They both froze when they never realized that the door had opened and standing right in front of them was Naruto, Kakashi, and Lady Tsunade.

"What are you two doing?" Kakashi asked, trying to hide his laughter.

"Shut up!" Sakura yelled.

"Sasuke, stop!" Sasuke put his hand on her shoulder, "I'm not done yet!"

"Just..." Sakura pursed her lips and sagged as her face blushed, "just finish it already..."

"Well..." Lady Tsunade tapped her chin, "this is an interesting problem..."

As soon as Sakura felt Sasuke pat her shoulder, she stood up, "can you fix it, Lady Hokage?"

"Whoa." Lady Tsunade chuckled, "really interesting, indeed."

"Shut up!" Sakura blushed again, "Kakashi! You're the one that sent us on this mission! What does the Hokage need a scroll like this for, anyways?!"

"Research, Sakura." Kakashi chuckled as he patted Sakura's shoulder.

"I'm Sasuke!" Sakura yelled.

"Sasuke! Calm down!" Sasuke grabbed Sakura's shoulders, "we'll fix this. Maybe we can find a jutsu that can reverse this."

"But..." Naruto giggled, "it is kinda funny..."

"Naruto!" Sasuke turned to his friend, "just because this isn't my normal body doesn't mean I can't beat you to a pulp right here, right now!"

"Sasuke!" Kakashi patted Sasuke's shoulder.

In response, Sasuke turned and glared at his sensei, "Kakashi-Sensei! It's Sakura!"

"Whoops." Kakashi chuckled.

"You're having way too much fun with this!" Sakura yelled, "you guys need to switch us back now, before anyone else finds out!"

"Relax." Lady Tsunade sighed, "we still need to look into the writing on the scroll and how this could've happened with our cipher team. Good thing we retrieved those scroll pieces... In the meantime, I'm afraid you two are going to have to learn to live each other's lives."

"What?!"

"You can't be serious, Lady Tsunade!!"

"The only advice I can give you two is just act normally. Things will adapt." Lady Tsunade smiled nervously.

"'Normally'?!" Sasuke clenched his teeth, "you can't be serious! We're opposite genders! How can we..."

"Oh geez, no..." Sakura went pale, "S-Sakura... Are you... On your..."

"Sasuke!" Sasuke blushed and turned to Sakura, "we don't need this right now!"

"Oh boy." Naruto burst out laughing, "Sasuke's not gonna make it."

"Shut up!" Sakura yelled, "I can't do this!"

"We'll figure things out as fast as we can, don't worry." Lady Tsunade assured them, "sorry, I had no idea what I was thinking, assigning you three to this mission. But... I thought you could control yourselves and keep from opening the scroll."

Sasuke and Sakura turned and glared at Naruto, "well, some of us could..."

"Okay, okay." He chuckled nervously, "sorry, guys. I had no idea it'd turn out like this, though."

"And quite frankly." Kakashi snickered, "it's priceless."

"You were in on this too!" Sasuke grabbed the front of Kakashi's shirt, "I swear, Kakashi-Sensei! You could've switched Naruto and Sasuke, and it'd be perfectly fine!"

"Actually..." Sakura coughed.

"But it just had to be Sasuke and I!" Sasuke shook Kakashi angrily, "if you don't get us out of this mess, I'm gonna kill you after Naruto, got it?!"

"Okay, okay, calm down, SasuSaku." Kakashi chuckled.

"What the hell?" Sakura glared.

"Get it? Since Sasuke is Sakura and Sakura is Sasuke now." Kakashi put his two fingers together, illustrating his brilliant idea, "so put them together and you get SasuSaku. Nice ring to it, huh?"

The two glared at Kakashi as he started laughing at himself for his wittiness.

"So you two can leave." Lady Tsunade, "I'm going to go ahead and assume you two don't have any fatal injuries, nor are you dying."

"Yeah." Naruto chuckled, "I'm going out for ramen, if you guys wanna come with me?"

"No." Sasuke and Sakura glared at the Uzumaki as if on cue. They realized their synchronization, looked at each other, then turned away.

"Okay. This is getting awkward." Kakashi chuckled, "I'll be leaving, then. Good luck to both of you, SasuSaku."

"Will you quit it?" Sakura growled.

"Yeesh. Tough crowd." Kakashi turned to Lady Tsunade, "I'm heading out on that mission."

"Okay. Guy and Asuma said they'd meet up with you. Kurenai is sitting out for this one." Lady Tsunade explained.

"Got it." The Hatake nodded, then smiled over to his students, "good luck!" With that, he vanished in a puff of smoke.

This... Sasuke groaned. Is going to be... No fun at all...

I swear I might kill myself if... THAT happens... Sakura shivered and crossed her arms again, what a pain... Damn you, Kakashi.
