So, I was rewatching this moment. It literally makes me cry so much, it's so beautiful...

If people call her useless here, they should probably think again. If it weren't for her and her chakra, Sasuke would still be in a different dimension, as he said here... This vest really is a huge symbol in the anime.

Then, after rewatching this scene a bazillion times, I timed it. Cuz who knows how long they've been standing there like this.

One of the interesting things here is she isn't even blushing, proving that she's not even thinking about the fact that the love her life is holding her this close, and that all that mattered to her there and then was getting him back safely, not being overly obsessed that he was just holding her like this.

So. I timed this. And from the moment Sakura fell onto him and he caught her, Sasuke didn't make a move to get her off, nor did he even look at her in a disgusted way. He held her close like this for nearly an ENTIRE MINUTE.

I have never seen him do something like this to anyone else for that long. If you can think of anyone else he's done this to, you can name the name in the comments. I won't be mad, I just wanna know. But honestly, for a moment like this one, that is a LONG time. I mean, people might say "pfft just a minute?"

Well, imagine. Sasuke just standing there holding Sakura and then staring at each other and count a minute. It's long for just standing there staring, then him talking to Obito and still holding her through that. Heh.

But the fact that Sasuke keeps going back to the desert is symbolic, too. Because he knows that after everything's he's done, he was supposed to stay there, he was meant to just be exiled there. But if it weren't for Sakura and her efforts along with Obito's, he'd still be there, and it's all thanks to her, like he'd said with the vest, and that her vest in that time-space could've been him. The vest, the burns on her arm, the way he grabbed her arm like that, it's all just one giant blob of SasuSaku symbolism. 😂👍🏼
