Chapter 30 - Pleading

Error's POV

I quickly stood up after my mind processed what Ink's father had said. Ink's life was on the line because of that child.

Me: Ink can die?

???: Unfortunately. His body cannot fully support something that is not a hundred percent biological.

He stood up and paced around the room.

???: However, for that exact same reason, there is a good chance that Ink will survive.

Me: There's has to be a way to make it guaranteed that he'll survive.

I looked at Ink. He was hugging himself. His temperature started to rise and he began to shake. Ink was starting to cry.

Quickly reacting, I sat next to him and hugged him tightly. I pulled him into me while making sure not to hurt him.

The scientist was fixing to say something but a guard walked in. I glared at them as they approached.

Guard: I need to talk to you, sir.

???: Alright.

He stood up and exited the room. They began talking just outside, allowing me to see them through the window.

It must've been sound proof because my enhanced hearing couldn't pick anything up.

I saw the scientist nod with a somewhat sad face. Then, he walked back into the room. I automatically knew it was something about Ink and I. This made me subconsciously tighten my grip around Ink.

???: 7834- I mean Error, I'm going need you to leave this room.

Me: Not until I hear what you have to say.

???: This doesn't concern you.

Me: Yes it fucking does.

He sighed before motioning the guard in. My mind pieced together what was going to happen next. The guard had a gun, meaning he had the chemical. I abruptly growled.

Me: Don't you dare inject that chemical into me.

???: You don't give me a choice so I have to force you out. Restrain him.

The guard hesitated.

Guard: He might attack us.

???: He won't do anything as he could harm Ink in the process.

He nodded before lifting up the gun and aiming at me. I closed my eyes, braising for the Athenal Oxide. Then I felt the small sting.

???'s POV

I watched as they dragged away a disoriented Error. I sighed and sat down in the chair. Ink stepped out of bed, walking over to get a glass of water.

Me: Ink.

Ink: Yes dad?

Me: You're going to be gone for a while.

Ink: What do you mean?

He questioned while turning around.

Me: Some of our spies came back from the enemy side. Apparently they still want Error even after he destroyed one of their bases single handily. However, Error's way too advanced to be easily controlled so they might go for a different method to gain power.

Ink looked down at himself.

Ink: You mean-

Me: Yes, I mean the child. The child will be just as strong as the father. So, no one can know about you or the offspring. I'm going to send you to the island, Guam. Our military protects it so you'll be safe.

Ink: What about Error?

Me: If people notice Error going to the island constantly, then they'll find both him and you.

My son sat on a chair and thought for a minute.

Ink: That means that Error can't know where I am.

I nodded with a straight face.

Ink was fixing to say something but the door was opened. A guard walked in before pointing down the hallway. I stood up to see what was the matter.

Guard: The project is awake and is now on the verge of breaking down the metal door. It's trying to escape it's cell.

Me: I would assume so since it's love and child are in this room.

I growled to myself as I grabbed Ink to lead him to one of the many planes.

Error's POV

I punched the door as I attempted to get out. Red gas was filling the room which caused my vision to blur and my knees to become weak. I suddenly coughed as I collapsed to the floor.

'I have to fight it.'

My hand slammed against the door to support my body as I pushed myself up. One last push and the metal door broke of the hinges.

Guards pointed guns at me but I didn't have time for that. Teleporting past them, I ran down the hallway. Randomly looking down a passage, I saw the scientist and Ink. They were headed for those giant metal machines.

I reacted after they entered the room. The door was practically broken off when I followed them.

I saw Ink and his father not far so I picked up the pace. Then, I reached them.

Grabbing Ink, I pulled him away and into a tight hug. I buried my face into his brown scarf and started to almost cry.

Me: Please don't take Ink away from me.

There was really only one option besides kill people...

I had to beg
