Chapter 13: GLaDOS' Weakness
"So is this the part when she kills us?" Rattmann said, jokingly.
"No this is the part where you run in fear, that part's later."
"Too bad!" Wheatley grouched. "Besides, you know that was my thing!" I rolled my eyes.
We continued looking for a way to GLaDOS and I kept on thinking back to when Wheatley tried to escape with me before with everything that passed my eyes.
Wheatley finally had an idea. "Wait, what about the pipe?! Last time we got sucked in and we found her that way! Let's go there!"
Doug noticed that the tube was still broken, but wasn't sucking anything up.
"Over here!" He called from a different control room than the pipe one. I saw him pull the lever and the pipe was working again.
We all went up into it. I saw Wheatley get very irritated with Doug when he offered to go first. I thought everything was going fine until I saw Doug start going the wrong way, the same wrong way that Wheatley had gone before.
"Oh, perfect, he's going to the neurotoxin pipe. He should be fine. We just won't be seeing him until she decides to use her neurotoxin against us."
Once we were there, in the long and dramatic corridor that lead to her 'Lair' Wheatley, once again, wanted to turn back. I ignored him, we had gone too far for that.
"So you found me. Was it worth it? Because despite your effort, the only thing you've managed to break so far is my heart. I guess you could just settle for that and we'll call it a day? I think we both know that isn't going to happen."
I shook off the memory and entered the room with Wheatley who looked like he would've peed his pants if he were human.
"You do remember before when I killed that moron you're holding, don't you? It was easy. And you're only making it easier, what with your dumb choices."
I'm dumb now? Right. Could a dumb person defeat a supercomputer after completing a bunch of tests? Could a dumb person escape from being burned alive?
"I almost kind of feel bad for what I'm about to do. You really are a cute couple. Or you would've been a cute couple, anyways."
I ignored all of her remarks and searched for the cores. I didn't know how, but they were all sitting by the incinerator, they looked just fine. All except for Morality, anyways, who I assumed was still in the incinerator.
"Oh, were you going to try and kill me by reattaching those pathetic cores? There are no more ports for that, so don't even think about it."
I felt like walking right up to her and ripping that mechanical head right off her body. I knew that would never work, though.
Before we were about to start looking for a way to defeat her, we saw two bots walk in and start staring at us.
"What?! How did you two get in here?! Aren't you supposed to be testing?!"
The orange one walked up to Wheatley and said something in their language.
"That's brilliant! Oh this is going to be fun." He whispered it back into my ear and I smirked.
The two bots brought in a cage and GLaDOS started getting very frightened.
"You-you two little... Bots! Why would you bring that-that monster in here?! You know I don't like it!"
The blue bot opened up the cage and the crow flew out. GLaDOS started screaming in fear.
"Kill it! Kill it! I'll do anything just kill that thing! I DON'T LIKE BIRDS!"
The announcer started talking.
"Password accepted. Core deposits opening."
"Oh you have got to be kidding me!"
I saw the two bots hi-five and Wheatley thanked them. Wheatley and I attached the cores to her as quick as we could and the bots ran with us to the exit, we made it and the door closed just a second before the blast.
"Now who's the moron?" I heard Wheatley say.
"At least I'm not afraid of a bloody crow. I mean, if I didn't have the crow, she would've killed me in the beginning and there would've been nothing to put me back on my rail!"
So that's how he got back up there.
The bots went into some really large testing course and I swear I saw them kiss!
