You arch an eyebrow as Seokjin leads the way into a fast food restaurant.

"A fast food restaurant?" you ask while looking around. He turns back at you and nods his head. "Why?" You watch as he stops walking and merely lets his arms hang loosely.

"You wanted a simple date, didn't you?" you narrow your eyes at him while looking around the fast food joint.

"I wanted a normal date. One where the guy doesn't feel obligated to spend a lot of money on me."

"And this is exactly that, isn't it?" you look up at the menu, a specific menu item catching your eye: a double-stacked burger. Two patties, a bun in between, toppings, and a bunch of sauce oozing down the side of the burger. You open your mouth to reply before Seokjin interrupts you. "I can tell by the look in your eye that I'm right." He states while laughing. You gently nudge him before making your way to the counter.

"Just for that, I'm ordering even more food." You grumble under your breath as you shove past Seokjin and make your way towards the register. He laughs as you shove your way past him, sneakily eyeing your figure as you saunter to the register.

"Be my guest." Seokjin responds before letting out a soft laugh.

You approach the counter and lean against the counter, placing your forearm against it as you eye the man's name tag.

"Hi... U-Kwon? Get ready, because we've got a big order." You state with a devilish smile on your face.

You're now carrying two bags of food while Seokjin holds one in his arm, using his other hand to dig into his pocket for his car keys.

"I thought we'd be eating inside that place."

"Oh please, if I made you do that, we both know you would've complained." He responds, merely rolling his eyes. You shrug your shoulders, knowing he's right.

Cheap food? You don't mind if it tastes good.

Other people watching you eat so much that sauce and pieces of food are hanging out of the side of your mouth? Not a fan.

"So, if we're not eating in the restaurant... where exactly are we eating?" you question while looking at Seokjin as he unlocks the car.

"Right here." He gestures to the car. You furrow your eyebrows at the car door that he's gesturing at before you look up at him.

"I'm all about simple tonight, but-"

"You really need to go with it, Y/N." he states before laughing. He opens the car door on your side before gesturing for you to get inside.

Better than no date at all though...

Right?

You hop into the car and sit down, leaning the seat back a little as you prepare to eat. Seokjin gets into the car and sits down in the driver's seat, adjusting the seat so it's farther back away from the steering wheel to give him room to eat.

"Here's your food." Seokjin states as he hands you the bag. You nod your head, an awkward smile on your face.

Maybe no date would have been better.

"Oops, almost forgot." Seokjin states before lowering his arm to start the car. "Seatbelt, princess." He states, pausing his movements so you can put your seatbelt on.

"Where are we going? We already have our food." You state before looking down to buckle your seatbelt. As you go to look back up at him after buckling it, a stray hair gets in your face and you use your hand to tuck it to the side. Seokjin smiles as he watches you doing this.

"You didn't think I'd just eat food in the car with you... did you?" you avoid eye contact while shrugging your shoulders. He lets out a soft laugh before placing his hand on your head, gently patting the top of your head. "We're going to a drive-in movie while we eat."

"What movie?"

"You're used to planning everything ahead of time, aren't you?"

"I wouldn't be where I am if I didn't."

"We're going to be spontaneous tonight." He states while pulling on the gear shift of the car, starting to drive. "I didn't look up what movies are there. We're picking last minute." He grins while staring straight ahead at the road.

"What if there's nothing good?" you question while eyeing him. His eyes don't waver from the road as he shrugs his shoulders.

"Then I guess we're going to have to talk and ignore the movie." He states.

"What if it's only horror movies?"

"During Christmas time?" he lets out a chuckle.

"What if-" Seokjin stops the car at a red light and interrupts you by pressing his lips onto yours briefly. Your lips part in shock as his press to yours. After a few seconds, he pulls away, leaning back in his seat as he prepares for the light to turn green again.

You gulp as you look in his direction.

"You worry a lot. You're always planning things, working hard and you're always in charge." He states. "Give yourself a night to relax."

You grow quiet as he starts accelerating again once the light turns green.

"When you interviewed me, did you notice how my GPA on my resume was high?" he questions. "You can be a hard worker and take breaks, Y/N. You can be a hard worker at your own pace. You don't need to be constantly working and you definitely don't need to be rushing."

"You can't exactly take your time with what I do for a living."

"Are you kidding?" Seokjin questions as he turns into the parking lot of the drive-in movie theater. "Your job is to create good products and manage a company. You wouldn't want to rush a product and release something that's bad, would you?"

"No..."

"This year is almost over. We just celebrated Christmas and you're already getting ready to get back to work. Let yourself have a second to breathe." You look over at him as he looks over at you once he parks in a spot. "The whole point of this date is to have fun, not to be worrying about the 'what-if's,' Y/N."

You grow quiet and look at him, watching as his eyes sparkle with concern and care.

He watches as your shoulders physically relax. They're no longer tense as you stare at him. You let out a breath that you didn't realize was stuck in your lungs. He smiles gently before leaning in, pressing his lips gently onto yours for a few seconds.

"Nothing in life is certain but worrying about those uncertain things won't change anything." He mumbles while pulling away from the kiss. You bite onto your lower lip and nod your head before fully leaning back in your seat. "Now, let's take a look at what this theater has to offer." He states while gesturing towards the movie options.

There's only three.

No horror movies, like he predicted.

No good ones either, like you predicted.

"Hm, looks like there's nothing good." He states. "But I do see some movies to laugh at." He states. You let out a soft laugh before nodding your head.

"We can critique the movies and make fun of them the whole time." You suggest. Seokjin laughs before nodding his head.

"Sounds good to me." He states before moving forward to start driving to the nearest large screen, not bothering to check which movie it is.

He parks the car and unbuckles his seatbelt before reaching over to the speaker box, taking the plug and plugging it into the car's aux cord. After doing that, he reaches into his pocket, pulling out a bottle of hand sanitizer as he puts some on his hands before offering you some, which you gladly accept.

After you both make sure your hands are clean, you both start digging into your food, watching the movie.

You both start making fun of the movie as you both laugh and point at the screen while stuffing your mouths full of food.

"Oh my gosh, look at how shitty his acting is!" you muffle out with your mouth full of your food. Seokjin begins laughing loudly as he points in your direction.

"Y/N, swallow before talking, this is a rental car!" he laughs. You quickly cover your mouth, attempting to swallow the food in your mouth while laughing at the same time.

You and Seokjin continue watching the movie while cracking jokes during the entire movie.

Once the movie is only 26 minutes away from finishing, you get a text from Jimin.

Jimin: it's been a while since you left for your date. Do you need me to go get you?

You roll your eyes before showing the text to Seokjin, who laughs as well.

"What should I say?" Seokjin shrugs.

"Anything that gets him to not show up here." He states before taking another bite of his food. You nod your head.

Y/N: I'm good. He's dropping me off in about 45 minutes.

You put your phone away, continuing to enjoy the rest of your night.

Hi everyone!

So, for those of you who didn't see on my message board, I finished pre-writing Chef's Kiss which means I can start double updating each week!

My updates will be on Mondays and Fridays and my author's notes where I say what's going on in the world will be done on Fridays (mainly because on weekends, I don't watch the news as intently as I do during the week).

My Monday chapters will most likely have author's notes about any updates on stories I'm working on and just check-ins to see how all of you are doing.

I'm starting to work on Airplane Pt. 3 and a lot of you are excited for that story (which I'm so happy about)! I'm already writing chapter 2 right now as I write this.

I've already started writing my Hwasa story as well as a Jungkook story also just to get started on those too!

I hope all of you are doing well and enjoy this double updates! Please take care of yourselves, wear your masks, eat well and drink plenty of water!
