You're currently in your kitchen, sitting at the dining room with Jimin as the two of you swatch different samples of lip balms on your lips.

"Y/N," Jimin whines out while he holds the next tube of lip balm close to his lips. "My lips are rubbed raw... I can't add anymore lip balm to them. I've already tested five on my lips and they're turning red." You glance over at Jimin and see his lips turning a bright red color from rubbing off each lip balm to test another. You also notice how his lips are starting to peel slightly due to them being so dry while wiping off each lip balm.

The two of you had been testing different samples the whole day today, wiping them off every two to three hours to test a new one. Your lips were starting to get a little raw as well, but you're used to testing products and aren't a stranger to feeling this. This was the first time you had asked for Jimin's help while your other employees tested the many samples on their own as well.

"Okay, Jimin." You state while grinning over at him. "You can stop now. I'll test a few more by myself. Put a hydrating lip mask on your lips and let them rest." You order. Jimin nods his head before pushing his chair back as he starts to stand up, making his way out of the kitchen.

On his way out, he's met by Seokjin, who was about to push open the double doors to the kitchen to find you.

"Oh, hey, hyung." Jimin states at Seokjin. Seokjin stops Jimin by gently resting his hand on his shoulder. Jimin looks up at the man with confusion written all over his face.

"Jimin-ah," he states while placing both hands on Jimin's shoulders. "Why do your lips look like that?" Jimin frowns as he looks up at Seokjin.

"Y/N and I are testing lip balm samples for her next product. I tested too many and now my lips are chapped." Jimin explains before moving past Seokjin. "Now if you excuse me, I have to let my lips rest." Seokjin nods his head, watching as the younger leaves the room before shaking his head. Turning around, he sees you sitting at the dining room table, applying a sample on your lips.

He watches as you glide the sample on your lips, testing the softness of the formula and the taste of the lip balm. You press your lips together and make a soft 'pop' sound as you smack them together, rubbing the lip balm in. Glancing up, you notice Seokjin staring at you and you immediately pause, your eyes widening as you look over at him. He smirks as you start to become shy.

"Oh... hi, Jin." You state before shyly smiling over at him. He nods his head in acknowledgement before he steps fully into the kitchen.

Glancing down, he notices the many samples sitting in two different piles. On your left sat about 10 different samples and on your right sat 15 more. He lifts his eyebrows as he looks back up at you.

"I'm guessing these are the lip balms Jimin helped test?" he questions while gesturing towards the tubes sitting on the table. You nod your head tiredly as you rest both of your elbows on the table. You place your fingertips against your temples as you slowly massage your head.

"Yes... and we still haven't found one we like." You sigh softly before moving one hand away from your temple as you gesture down towards the pile on your left. "We've already tested almost half of them and still haven't found the right one." You move the tube that you just put on your lips to the left pile, making that 11.

Seokjin looks down at you with sympathy in his eyes, softly smiling.

"You really want this product to be perfect, don't you?" he questions. You nod your head and move your other hand away from your temple, allowing it to flop onto the table with a thud.

"I always want my products to be perfect. Quality is always what I strive for." You say before glancing down at the remaining samples. "Maybe I should see if Hyungwon tried some of the ones I haven't tested yet and see if he likes any of them..." you mumble.

"Who's Hyungwon?" he questions while tilting his head to the side. You look over at him while reaching for your phone.

"He's a member of my product development team. He helped make the formula for most of these." You reply. "He likes helping to test the samples sometimes." You shrug. Seokjin nods his head before watching as you dial Hyungwon's phone number.

You wait for a few moments while the phone rings.

"Hi Y/N." you hear Hyungwon's calm voice on the other side of the line. You smile at the sound of his voice.

"Hi, Hyungwon." You state before letting out a soft sigh. "How are you doing?" you ask.

"I'm doing great. My friend and I just finished dinner and I decided to test some of the lip balm samples right now." He states. You hear some shuffling in the background.

"That's good! Which samples have you tried?" you question before glancing over at Seokjin as he lifts one of the untested samples, taking the lid off of it as he curiously examines it. You smile to yourself as he starts to unwrap the label on it to scan the ingredients.

"I've tried 25, 19, 10, 18, and 23." He states from the other side of the line. "I've heard one of the other staff tried 13, 15 and 17."

"Jimin and I tested 1-11. So far, we haven't found one we liked entirely. Either they taste weird or don't help with the softness of our lips." You state. You hear Hyungwon moving some things around in the background, most likely looking at the notes he wrote about each sample.

"I liked 18 and 23. The other staff liked 17." He states. "The rest had the same problems." You nod your head softly.

"Alright, I think I'm going to rest for the rest of the night and you probably should too. I bet your lips are chapped from putting so many things on them too." You state.

"Yeah, I'll probably test some more tomorrow." You nod your head.

"Alright, sounds good. Thank you for your help, Hyungwon. I really appreciate it."

"No problem, Y/N. I'll let you know if any more samples turn out to be good tomorrow."

"Alright, sounds good." You state before glancing over at Seokjin as you watch him applying the lip balm on his lips. You furrow your eyebrows before hanging up the phone. "What are you doing?" you place your phone on the dining table. He pauses his movements, the lip balm still touching his lips before he shrugs his shoulders.

"I figured you could use some help, so I'm trying on..." he pauses to pull the tube away from his lips, eyes blinking quickly as he reads the print on the label. "Number 12." He states.

"Oh... you didn't have to, Jin."

"I don't mind." He states while putting the lid back on the tube. "Now, how long do I have to leave this on for?"

"About two or three hours." You state before pulling your notes closer to you. "But first, the test."

"Test?"

"Yeah. There's a few things that I want this product to be able to do. Just be honest, okay?" he nods his head. "Did it apply smoothly?"

"Yeah. It went on like butter on toast." He states while smiling over at you. You let out a soft laugh as you write his exact words next to number 12 on your notes.

"Is it too heavy on the lips?"

"It's a little sticky, but I've seen worse." You nod your head and write down his thoughts.

"Okay, last question for now. The rest will be towards the two or three hour mark." You look up at him. "Does it taste good?" He merely blinks as he stares over at you.

"Taste... good?" You nod your head.

"I made the formula to be safe to ingest." You state while awkwardly scratching the back of your neck. "You know, for making out..." you drift off towards the end of the sentence. Seokjin lifts his eyebrows as his ears start turning slightly pink as you stare over at him.

"O-Oh." He shyly states before looking away from you, his ears getting progressively red, resembling a tomato. You watch as he shyly licks his top lip. He continues to avoid eye contact as he tastes the flavor of the lip balm. After a few minutes, his red ears subside and he looks at you, furrowing his eyebrows as he looks over at you. "There's no taste in this one." Your eyebrows furrow in response to his statement before you immediately shake your head.

"What? There has to be a taste in it," you argue, reaching over to grab the tube as you look down at it, bringing it to your nose, attempting to smell the flavor in it. "We put a flavor in every single one, there's no way there's no taste."

Seokjin innocently stares over at you as he shrugs his shoulders.

"I don't taste anything." He awkwardly looks down. "Maybe you should try it on?" he asks, causing you to freeze, the lip balm still placed by your nose.

He wants you... to try it on... after he used it...?

Your body heats up at the thought of it as you grow a little nervous. You remain silent as your mind goes into shock, trying to see whether or not you should actually do it.

On one hand, you'd get to indirectly kiss Seokjin.

On the other, you might come off as weird if you did try it.

"Y/N?" he quietly asks. "Did I weird you out by asking that?" you slowly look up, eyes meeting his as his concerned ones stare into your shocked ones.

"Oh... um..." you stutter before growing quiet, unsure of how to respond.

"Aish, I did, didn't I?" he asks before reaching his hands up to cover his face, ears once again turning red. "I'm so sorry, I didn't-"

"No, no, it's okay." You state before looking over at him. He looks up to face you and his eyes lock on yours.

Your eyes subconsciously switch from his eyes to his lips before you dig your teeth into your lower lip. He gulps as his eyes do the same, staring at your red lips.

Little did you know that your lips looked as though you had been making out with someone for hours... and that's something Seokjin found attractive.

"You... um..." he slowly starts to speak, his voice coming out shy and quiet before he shakes his head quickly. "You don't have to put it on." He states, reaching over the table to take the tube of lip balm away from you. Tilting your head to the side, you curiously watch him as he places the lid back onto the lip balm, placing it back into the left pile.

"I don't?" you quietly ask, your voice barely above a mumble. He nods his head before taking a deep breath as he nods his head.

"I probably just can't taste it because I ate a strong dish earlier and-"

"Jin?"

"Hm?"

"That's okay... I have a better idea." You quietly state as Seokjin stares over at you. He parts his lips, ready to ask what you're talking about before you bite onto your lip.

Now or never.

You lean forward, your upper body leaning onto the dining table as your face moves nearer to his. Seokjin has his eyes locked on yours as he gulps before he also begins to lean forward.

You kiss.
