The sound of loud music is now playing in your ear as your body jerks awake. You immediately grab the pillow lying next to you on your bed, bringing it close to your head as you cover your ears with it. The music, sadly, doesn't stop as it moves even closer to you, causing you to slap a hand at the source of the music.
"Ouch!" You hear, causing you to smile as the sound of the music stops. Burying your head deeper into the pillow beneath your head, your body instantly relaxes as the music quiets down. "Hey! Wake up!" You feel someone shaking your body, causing you to immediately realize.
"Jimin?" You question without looking momentarily. Hearing the muffled 'yeah' from the source of loud music, you shrug your shoulders and slowly lift your head. You peek one eye open and see Jimin glaring down at you with an eyebrow arched. "What are you doing in my room?"
"Jin asked me to wake you. He's making breakfast for you and also, someone's at the door." He states before giving you his warning eyes. "Try not to hit the person at the door." He states before walking out of your door, causing you to roll your eyes at his attitude.
Slowly kicking your legs off of your bed, you rub your eyes while yawning. You brush your teeth, do your skincare, and fix your hair a little bit before changing into a pair of black sweatpants and a short sleeve grey shirt.
Making your way down the stairs, you immediately pause as you see who's at the door.
"Mr. Lee?" You question while tilting your head to the side. "What are you doing here?"
"I'm here because I have an update on your lawsuit." Your eyes immediately widen as you nod your head, gesturing for him to enter your home.
Shutting the door behind him, you bite onto your lower lip while gesturing for him to take a seat in the living room.
"What kind of update?"
"Well," he states before shrugging his shoulders. "Mr. Min didn't want to risk being sued so he already sent me a proposal to offer to you."
You arch an eyebrow immediately, lips curving into a scowl.
"Proposal?" Mr. Lee senses your anger and nods his head slowly before swallowing.
"Trust me, that's not what I wanted either," he states before looking up at you. "But I'm obligated to tell you any updates." You nod your head before plopping onto the chair next to the couch as you stare over in his direction.
"Okay, go ahead."
"Well, Mr. Min didn't want to risk having us exposing him for the snake that he is. In order to protect his company, he offered a rather... large amount of money."
"Money? He thinks that money will shut me up?" You question as you lean forward, resting your elbows on your knees.
"Y/N," He states before looking down at his hands momentarily. Sighing, he reaches down and opens his briefcase, pulling out a document as he sets it on the coffee table, sliding it over to you face down. "When I say 'large,' I mean large."
You merely roll your eyes before reaching over to pick up the piece of paper. Flipping the page over, you're shocked at the amount of zeroes.
Keeping your composure, you show no emotion in your face and remain entirely still before reverting your eyes to Mr. Lee. You silently stare down the man and silently challenge him to say anything more about the amount of money.
Sure, $3,000,000,000 is a lot of money. However, your company has made his same amount of money in years. The money your company has accumulated is all clean money, unlike this dirty money that Min Yoongi thinks will save his ass.
You merely grab both edges of the paper in your fingertips. Without hesitation, you rip the page in half.
Mr. Lee's eyes widen as he watches you rip the paper without breaking eye contact with him.
"Mr. Lee, I appreciate that you're trying to help me benefit from this situation," you lick your lips for a moment before setting the ripped paper onto the table. "However, I'm very much capable of making this type of money with my company without resorting to accepting bribes from Min Yoongi."
Mr. Lee merely sighs before shaking his head.
"You're making my job very hard, Miss Y/N." He states while softly laughing. You arch an eyebrow as you lean back in your chair, a stone cold look on your face.
"What's so funny?" You question quietly while crossing one of your legs over the other as you lean back. "Is my fear of my company being exposed funny? Is my fear for my friends' safety funny?"
"Look, I know he wanted to take your friends, who happen to be your employees, from you, but-"
"No buts. You're my lawyer. You do what is best for me and my friends. Accepting filthy money from a sleaze-ball isn't what's best for us." You state before quickly standing up to dust your hands on your sweatpants. "If you don't want to do what's best for us, then maybe I should get a different lawyer involved."
You start to walk towards the front door, hand on the doorknob as you threaten to open it and kick him out.
"Wait, Miss Y/N!"
Pausing, you smirk to yourself momentarily before taking a deep breath. Wiping the smirk off your face, you turn to look at Mr. Lee and are greeted by Seokjin standing by the door, tray of food in hand.
You give Seokjin a thankful grin, nodding your head politely. Turning your attention back to Mr. Lee, you cross your arms.
"Mr. Lee, I recommend that you find another solution to our problem with Mr. Min. Please get ahold of me when you're able to give me a real solution to that."
Mr. Lee merely nods his head before closing his briefcase as he slowly stands up from your couch. He bows politely to you before making his way out of your home. You close the door behind him, eyes rolling as you lock the door.
"That was a little harsh, don't you think?" Seokjin questions with his eyebrows raised. Stepping forward, he places the tray of food that he prepared for your breakfast onto the coffee table. You merely turn to him and give him an 'are you kidding' look.
"No, it wasn't harsh." You state before stepping away from the front door as you make your way towards the kitchen to wash your hands before breakfast. Seokjin merely moves to the side, away from the swinging doors as you push the doors to enter the kitchen.
"You know, he's just trying to do what's best for us." He states while looking up at the ceiling as he waits for your response.
You turn on the water and start to wash your hands, the running water waking you up a little more as you merely shake your head.
"I know he is," you talk loudly enough from the kitchen so Seokjin can hear you. "But giving us money to make up for the anxiety Jimin felt from Min Yoongi isn't enough." You counterargue. You finish lathering your hands, rinsing the foam off of your hands with the running water.
"I know it freaked Jimin out, but don't you think you should talk to Min Yoongi that way and not the one representing us in this case?" he questions from the living room. You sigh before grabbing one of the kitchen rags hanging from one of the drawers in your kitchen. You begin drying your hands as you look back at the door while you talk.
"You do have a point there, Seokjin." You state before walking back into the kitchen, careful as you open the swinging doors so you don't hit him with the door. Seokjin merely stands there as he watches you plop onto the couch, your fork and knife tearing open the breakfast on your plate as you start to cut it into chewable pieces.
"Speaking of the whole Min Yoongi thing," he starts before he glances down at his feet. "Is there any chance that this will end up being taken to court? Or do you think it'll be settled before an actual court case happens?" You pause, your chewing slowing down as you think.
"Well," you speak with your mouth full before swallowing, watching as Seokjin shakes his head in disgust for a moment. "I have a strong feeling it'll end up going to court... why?" He merely shrugs as he glances around the living room.
"I don't want to be that person but Yoongi seems a little... powerful." He states while scratching the back of his neck. This causes you to set your fork and knife down as you look over at him.
"I own a billion-dollar company, have won awards for my skincare products, and have connections around the business world. I have just as much, if not more, power than he does."
"But he's in the music business..." he trails off as he looks anywhere to avoid eye contact with you. Your eyes narrow as your lips purse. "People in the music business can get away with doing illegal things all the time. Most of the music artists that belong to any companies are able to get easy access to drugs or hitmen without the media finding out about it." You tilt your head to the side.
"Are you insinuating that I'm not capable of getting ahold of some drugs or hitmen, Seokjin?" you inquire while staring down at your nails, your demeanor turning laid back and unbothered.
His eyes widen as he looks around the living room for a witness in case you were to attack him this very moment.
"N-no..." You softly grin before reaching down and grabbing onto your fork as you take another bite of your breakfast.
"Min Yoongi may be powerful, but that's because he's never crossed me." You state while shrugging as you dig the pointed tips of your fork into the fluffy scrambled eggs. You softly brush the tips against the cloud-like texture of the eggs before you dig your fork slowly into the food. This causes a screeching sound to echo throughout the room as the ends of the fork brush against the plate. "Until now."
Seokjin merely smiles at the confidence you're exuding. He arches an eyebrow as he smiles in your direction.
In the meanwhile, you assume he's left the room already and pig out on the delicious breakfast. Your legs are now crossed as you happily bounce one of your legs over the other, your pink slipper-covered foot wagging in the air as you do so.
Seokjin smiles to himself as he watches you enjoying his food. After a moment, he examines your entire body before turning away from you, pushing the kitchen doors open as he makes his way in the kitchen once more.
But not without one last glance at your confident figure.

Onto the news.
I saw that there was a massacre happening in Oyigbo Rivers State. I heard that people were going from house to house killing people with guns but I'm not sure what their motive is or if they're a part of a group or something so if anyone knows about this, please tell me so I'm aware of it.
A reader let me know that 2 Algerian-Muslim women were stabbed in Paris by 2 white women in front of their own children. The two white women called them "dirty Arabs" while doing it too. It appalls me that there are people in this world that are this hateful and rude. Apparently the news is trying to hide this from the public, so this information needs to be spread. They can't hide this information from the public because the public has a right to know. I just wanted to thank the person who made me aware of this. @evmpthemvp thank you for letting me know about this!
Three people were killed in Nice, France. The news is saying it's a suspected terrorist attack and if this is the case, this is heartbreaking to hear.
There was a typhoon in Vietnam. I've heard they've confirmed 25 deaths but, like with all natural disasters, there may be many more that haven't been discovered yet. If any of my readers are in Vietnam, I hope you're okay and safe along with your friends and families.
I don't really have any other updates because I've been way too busy with school and work. I'm also struggling a bit mental health-wise, so bear with me.
I love all of you. I purple you.
