AT THE AFTER PARTY, Tom was sulking to the side. He was having no fun after what happened in the bathroom with Marley. It seemed that everyone knew something was up after Marley didn't come back and Tom looked slum. Seb was trying to cheer him up by changing the topic when Marley was brought up, but it seemed to be no use.

His mind was a mess. Everything he did to think about something else, it always lead to Marley. Like if he looked at any of the food there, he would think "Marley would just be fine with pizza." Or if he stared at the flower vases on the tables he'd think, "Marley's favorite flower is a sunflower." Tom was in a true predicament and he didn't know what to do about it.

It was hard for him. When one day you tell yourself you'll get over a girl by dating another, and trying your hardest to think about the girl your with and not the one you long for. That's why he's been so distant. That's they it seemed like he was ignoring Marley. Tom was trying to forget his feelings for Marley and start new ones with Liz, which obviously aren't blooming or even starting.

Tom never hated Cameron, he just envied how easy it was for Marley and him to act with one another. He never expected himself to lash out at her for being a jealous ass, but it happened after he bottled it all up. Tom couldn't talk about it with anyone. But it seemed that his internal struggle showed when he was out with the Civil War cast, or just out with friends and family. It's just that he never noticed it up then.

Tom didn't know Liz was tugging him away from the crowd until her face finally came into view, and his thoughts slowly swept away into nothingness. "What's wrong?" he soft voice asked him.

He looked at her blankly, unsure if he should give her a straight answer until she spoke again, "I know something happened between you and Marley while you left during the movie. I saw her leave before you did."

Tom was ashamed. His head lowered so his dark eyes hid from her blue ones. "Liz... I never meant to pull you into this."

Liz chuckled quietly before tilting his chin up with her fingers so he'd look at her. "I thought your feelings for Marley would go away after a while in our relationship, but I see that it's not the case."

"Was it that obvious?" he asked meekly and silently yelled at himself as Liz replied with a small nod.

"You deserve so much better, Liz. A true prince charming." Tom held her hands in his, as he smiled shyly. "So... no hard feelings?"

Liz shook her head, laughing lightly. "Nope, not at all. Now go get her, lover boy."

Tom smiled excitedly and quickly leaned forward to kiss her cheek. "Thank you so much."

He rushed out of the party, saying small and quick sorry's to those he knocked into along the way out.

Marley stepped out of the bathroom, her wet hair sticking to her neck and freshly washed face making her feel clean. She sat on the couch, her legs pulled into a criss-cross position as she held a pint of chocolate ice cream on her lap.

In all honesty, she looked like a damn mess. Her hair was in one of the messiest buns imaginable. Her skin was makeup free and the only thing she wore was a large oversized tee with boxer shorts. If anyone saw Marley now, they'd think that she lived in the streets or something.

She was content on spending the rest of the night watching Rom-Coms while eating all the junk food she had, to fill her broken heart. Marley was in the middle of watching 'Leap Year', the scene where Declan and Anna are fighting in the car when her evening was disturbed by a series of loud knocks.

Marley groaned through her mouthful of chocolate ice cream. She was just getting to the good part in the movie. Her feet dragged their way to the door and constantly looked back at the tv, wanting to see Amy Adams act and Matthew William Goode be a fucking asswipe.

When she opened the door, she was immediately engulfed in a hug from someone she was all too familiar with. "I'm so sorry, Marbles."

Marley was shocked. Her body tensed as the person hugging her only held her tighter, making Marley's stomach flip and turn. "What are you doing here?" she mumbled as she softly removed Tom's hands from her waist. "You should be at the premiere."

"And so should you." Tom said pointedly, his eyes staring into hers.

"If you're here trying to kiss me again, then you need to immediately go back to Liz. I know we've... declared our feelings for one another-"

"We broke up." he interrupted her, a little too eagerly and bit his lower lip.

Marley's brown eyes widened and pointed her finger at him. "I swear to satan if you broke up with her because of me-"

"Marley," Tom smiled slightly before putting his hands up to stop her from assumptions. "It was a mutual end to things. We both realized that there wasn't any true- spark between us." he took a small step forward and gestured between the two of them. "But right here, we have that spark."

Marley was wary about the situation, everything seemed- too perfect for them. And she never thought perfection would ever play a part in her life, never less her love life. "Do you promise that?" she asked in a small tone a child would when exchanging a secret.

The distance between them closed when Tom nodded and took a step forward, slowly and hesitantly bringing his hands to brush away stray hairs from her beautiful face. "I swear on my life."

"You know," Marley wrapped her arms around his neck, as his arms snaked around her waist, "That's a big promise to make. Are you sure you can keep that? You know how big I am on promises."

"Yes, yes." Tom quirked a large smile. "I know that when your parents didn't take you to Disney like they promised, so you went mute until they brought you there."

"Hey," she defended herself, "I was eight."

Tom smiled cheekily before taking a moment to admire Marley in her natural beauty. "God, you're adorable," he whispered as he pressed a kiss to her forehead. "And kind," His lips kissed her cheek, "and effortlessly beautiful," he kissed her other cheek and finally said, "and I really want to kiss you." Tom stared into her dark eyes as his lips removed themselves from her button nose.

"Well... What's stopping you?" Marley's face flushed, feeling herself turn red at all the compliments he just gave her.

"The gentleman in me." Tom proudly stated, his eyes continously glancing at her lips to her eyes.

"Well Thomas," Marley swiftly moved her hands from around his neck to cup his face "fuck that." she mumbled under her breath before pushing her lips against his.

Tom didn't hesitate to kiss her back, moving his lips against hers slowly and passionately. The kiss- it was perfect for them. It was as if they've longed for each other for so long, like the need of oxygen to breathe, to survive. They proceeded to hold each other in the others arms, until they had to break apart for a breath of air.

Their lips as red as their cheeks with a smile spreading throughout their faces. Tom laughed softly, leaving Marley to giggle ever so quietly. With their foreheads touching and the soft breathing coming from their lips, trying to think of what they should say to one another.

"That was bloody amazing."

"Who knew you could kiss? 'Cause goddamn."

Tom smirked as Marley blushed. He leaned down to place a soft, chaste kiss to her lips before pulling away and pressing her to his chest. "Now what moving were you watching, darling?"
