"But why?!"

"Student counsel reviewed the budget and they only have enough money for the summer formal or the Carnival. Not both. And more people wanted to have the summer formal. so... they cancelled the carnival."

"But what are we going to do now?" Jocelyn asked. "How are we going to get Jungkook and Ginger to be friends again?"

"We're not." I said. "Thanks for all of your help guys, but I guess this is just a sign that we aren't meant to be friends anymore. *sigh* See you guys later."

I grabbed my backpack and trudged out of the library to my first hour class.

I couldn't pay attention in class, so I just laid my head down on my desk and closed my eyes. Jungkook never left my thoughts all day.

After school I walked home alone and once home went straight to my room. I threw my bag on the floor and sat on my bed.

I hated feeling like this. Empty, alone. So I knew what I had to do. I needed to move on.

I was going to start by getting rid of our memories. I ran downstairs in the kitchen and grabbed a garbage bag. Once back upstairs, I rummaged through my room and threw away every picture, note, card, or piece of clothing that belonged to or reminded me of Jungkook. He was going to be pushed out of my life just like he did to me.

Once I was finished, the walls of my room were bare and empty of memories.

There was just one final step to forget him. I reached into my backpack and grabbed my phone. My fingers from memory found his contact in an instant.

"Goodbye forever." I said as I went to contact options.

A tear fell down my cheek and landed on my phone screen. I wiped it away as I tapped on the delete button.

Then I read on the glowing screen 'Are you sure you want to delete contact.'

"I'm sorry. I love you."

I clicked yes.

The screen read 'Contact deleted.'
