Chapter 1: "I'M CHINA'S SHEEP!"

[Keni and Lay are online]

*Keni joins chatroom*

HelloThereStranger: Lay sunbae! Are you here?

*Lay joins chatroom*

UnicornHealingUrHeart: I'm here. What is it, Keni?

HelloThereStranger: Oh, nothing. I just saw that you're online early this morning. What are you doing right now?

UnicornHealingUrHeart: I'm at the recording booth right now.

HelloThereStranger: At SM?

UnicornHealingUrHeart: Yes. What about you? What are you up to early in the morning? I thought you'd sleep in since it's a Saturday.

HelloThereStranger: I wanted to, but I kept waking up, worried about my Quarterly Exams for the first quarter.

UnicornHealingUrHeart: Awe! You must be tired! Why don't you go back to sleep? I mean it's a Saturday today. Can't you study tonight or tomorrow?

HelloThereStranger: I'd love to do that, Lay sunbae, but other than studying I am busy planning something with Shelly, Mae, Suho and Chanyeol.

UnicornHealingUrHeart: Oh! I see... Well, why don't you go back to studying, so that you can finish early and plan that thing  with the others. :)

HelloThereStranger: Okay, I will do that. :D Thanks for the chat, Lay sunbae! Ttyl!

UnicornHealingUrHeart: Good! You're welcome, Keni. Bye. :)

HelloThereStranger: Bye, China's Sheep!

*Keni leaves the chatroom and logs off*

UnicornHealingUrHeart: ...

UnicornHealingUrHeart: Wait... How did she?

UnicornHealingUrHeart: CHINA'S SHEEP?

UnicornHealingUrHeart: YAH! KENI! HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT? THE SONG HASN'T EVEN BEEN RELEASED, YET! KENI!!

UnicornHealingUrHeart: I'm going to talk to her...

*Lay leaves chatroom and logs off*

Keni's POV

   I smiled at what my last message was to Lay. I'm not actually studying right now, but planning Lay's surprise birthday party. I promised Suho and the rest of the members of EXO that I would distract Lay while they prepare for the surprise birthday party. I took my shoulder bag from my armchair and put my phone inside. Then I grabbed a random jacket from my closet and walked out of mine and my friend's dorm. I was on my way to the recording booths when I felt someone grabbed my arm from behind. I was turned around on my spot and surprised to see Lay standing right in front of me, breathing heavily.

   "How... did you... know..." Lay tries to ask through breathing in and out.

   I smiled at the 25 year old, who will turn 26 in a few more hours, and then I spoke up for him, "How did I know about your new song?"

   Lay looks at me suspiciously while I just continued to smile at him innocently. "Yah! Keni, you know if Mr. Lee Sooman founds out about this, he'll make sure that you won't get your comeback with the girls," Lay explains, worriedly.

   I sighed at the tired guy and patted his right shoulder using my left hand. Then I smiled at him this time and whispered calmly, "Don't worry about it, Lay sunbae. He won't find out."

   "What do you mean?" He asks, confused.

   I quietly laughed and grabbed his right arm. Then I started running down the hallway while pulling Lay from behind me. We got into one of the elevators and then I pressed the button for the 7th floor, where the boys of EXO are almost done preparing the room. I ignored Lay's questions while we are in the elevator. Then when the doors opened, I grabbed Lay's arm again and pulled him out.

   "Wait, for a minute," I quickly told him and hurriedly ran to the room.

   I opened the door and closed it right after. Baekhyun and D.O. are the first ones to see me when I ran in. They both smiled at me and waved. I did the same thing and walked over to them.

   "Are you guys almost done?" I asked, while drinking a bottle of water from  D.O.

   "We are already done," Baekhyun answered with a excited smile.

   "Good," I exclaimed and gave D.O. his water bottle back.

   The two looked at me in confusion and then D.O. asked, "Uh, what do you mean by 'good'?"

   I smiled and slowly said, "Well, you see he is here right now..."

   Baekhyun and D.O. looks at each other with wide eyes and ran to each member, telling them what I just told them. Then Suho ran to me in panic and stood in front of me.

   "Where exactly is Lay?"

   "By the elevators.  I told him to stay there till I come back."

   "Go get him."

   "Now?"

   "Yes, Keni. NOW!"

   I couldn't help, but laugh at how Suho looks like right now. Then I left the room and went back to the elevators. I don't only see Lay standing by the elevators, but my members are there, too. Mae, the maknae, sees me and waves.

   "Unnie!" She calls and I waved back at her,

   Then Lay walks over to me in confusion and asked quietly, "Why are we here, Keni? Please, don't ignore me this time."

   I zipped my mouth using an imaginary key and then I slipped the imaginary key in my denim short's pocket. Then I signaled the girls and they started walking to the room, before Lay and I did. I smiled at Lay apologetically and grabbed his arm again, but instead of pulling him, I just held onto his arm. Lay has finally given up on asking me the same questions over and over again. Finally, we made it to the room and when the twins, April and Mae, and Skye opened the doors, the lights in the room are off. I walked inside and pulled Lay with me.

   Then the lights turned on and everyone, who are in the room, jumped out from their hiding spot and shouted, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LAY!"

   Lay stood on my right in surprise. I could see the tears in his eyes already and I awed at how cute he looked like. Then I looked back at the others and smiled. Suho and Baekhyun are the first ones to walk over to Lay and gave him a hug.

   "Happy birthday, hyung," Baekhyun greets and gives him a warm hug.

   The rest of the EXO members and my group's members greeted him next and gave him a hug. After our greetings, we all gave Lay our speeches and presents. I gave mine as the last person and smiled brightly at Lay.

   Lay chuckles and spoke up, "So, that's why you dragged me all the way here and didn't answer my questions."

   I laughed and replied back, "I was supposed to just lead you blindfolded, but Suho and Skye didn't want me too because who knows I might let you bump into a wall."

  "I heard that, Keni," Suho said from behind me.

   "Omo!" I jumped up and turned around to glare at EXO's eomma.

   "Haha..." Suho laughs nervously and looks away.

   Lay chuckles again and I faced the 26 year old. "Happy birthday, China's Sheep!" I happily said and gave him the blue gift box with tiny baby sheep printed on it.

  "Really, Keni?" Skye asks when she sees the design of the blue gift box. "Shut up, Skye," I sassed while fixing my jacket.

   Then Lay opens the top of the blue gift box and he started laughing all of a sudden. Everyone gathered around the both of us while I tried not to laugh with him. Chen is the first one to see what was in the box and then he laughed along with Lay, who is on the verge of crying. The rest of EXO's members all looked over at me while my group members went to see what was inside.

   "What did you give Lay,  Keni?" Chanyeol asks, curiously.

   I was going to answer him, but Mae beat me to it. "It's stuffed sheep pillow thingy..." She said, unsure of what to call it.

   Then Sehun walked forward and took Lay's new pillow out from the blue gift box. Everyone stared my gift for Lay and then we all laughed together. The celebration went on after that and I noticed that Baekhyun is hugging the sheep pillow.

   That cute weirdo.

   The celebration ended two hours later and Lay decided to walk me back to the girls' dorm. One the way back, it was silent. A good, comfortable kind of silence. Once we reached the front door to the girls' dorm, Lay and I stopped walking and face each other.

   "Now, that you're 26 years old," I teased. "You look old."

   "Old?" Lay asks in surprise.

   I laughed and hit his left arm. "Old like a grandpa!"

   "Are you sure that I look like a'grandpa'?" He asked and took a step towards me.

   I smiled nervously and replied, "Yes. You do look like." Then I pointed at his outfit.

   Lay looks down at his clothes and chuckles. "Okay, I get it," He spoke up and took a step back. "I do look like on because of this jumper, but I can't help it! Baekhyun and Kai forced me to wear it."

   I quietly laughed at him and sighed. "I've got to go now. Happy birthday again, Lay!"

   "Thank you, Keni, and for the gift. It's cute."

   "It suits you."

   "I know. That's why I'm China's Sheep!"

   I shook my head at the joke. "You know the fans will make a meme out of that, right?"

   "Can't wait for it," He jokes again. Then he became serious and gives me a hug.

  I was surprised by his sudden action, but I returned the hug and patted his back. Then we pulled away and I opened the door to the girls' dorm.

   "Good night, Yixing!" I told him in Chinese.

   Lay smiles and pats the top of my head. "Good night, Keni," replies back, but in English.

   Then I closed the door and walked to LUCKi ONE!'s dorm. Once I got inside, I noticed that the girls are not yet here, so I took my phone out and logged into the chatroom.
