Cole's pov.

Dread. That's what I feel as I see Skylar's hand fall away from her neck and onto the blooded ground.

I growl as I rip apart every limb of a naked man and shred his skin as I jump over his body and run towards Skyar. I shift halfway in between and kneel down next to her.

"Hey, it's all over now," I murmur as I lift her up from the ground and pull her into my lap.

"Skylar? Wake up," I try to shake her quietly. The mate bond hasn't disappeared. She's not dead. I don't feel it.

"Alpha, I've rounded everyone up," Liam says behind me just as Carter runs towards us and lowers himself to the ground.

I growl at him.

"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I got held up," He apologises, "I told her I'd be right behind her and sh-"

"Shut the fuck up," I growl at him loudly and he lowers his head, "She's not dead," I mutter as I pull her closer.

Come on baby. Wake up, I whisper into her mind. She doesn't reply back.

"I need Rebecca," I say as I turn to Liam. He nods and runs towards the safe house. Rebecca is the pack doctor. She's old but very wise. She's healed everyone before. She can wake Skylar up.

I lay Skylar down onto the ground and pick up the shorts, Mason brings. I quickly wear them and lift Skylar up into my arms. I head towards our house.

"Daddy!" I hear Bethany shout and I freeze with Skylar in my arms as she runs towards us.

We killed him, Alex growls in my mind as I carry on walking to the pack house. I step inside and head to the first clear room I can find. I place Skylar onto the couch and wait for Rebecca.

Don't rip her head off. She's old. She's taking her time. I repeat to myself in my mind just as I see Liam lifting an old lady in her arms and running as fast as he can towards us.

He places her down and she smiles at him as he blushes in embarrassment.

"Could you get everyone out, Alpha?" Rebecca says as Aiden runs inside with a bag full of her stuff.

"Leave," I mutter the word as I get up from the sofa and close the door to the room. Rebecca sits down on the couch near Skylar and I watch as she presses a hand onto neck and forehead. She's a healer. She can feel things that are wrong with someone.

"She needs to rest and get everything patched up. Hand me my bag," She places a hand out. I walk towards the bag and lift it up and hand it to her. I wait near Skylar.

Please wake up, baby, I whisper to her in her mind but still don't get any reply.

"There's no point, Alpha. Her tiger has shut her body down. She's trying to protect her cub. Until she feels safe, Luna won't be waking up. Just let her rest. I'll fix her up, but that is all I can do. It's a mother's instinct to protect her child," Rebecca explains as she pulls out bandages from her bag.

I stay still.

I don't say anything as she cleans up the blood from my mates arms and legs.

I stare at Skylar.

She's pregnant. She's fucking pregnant.

"Holy fucking shit," I say in shock as I think of all the pain she has to go through. She's scared of giving birth. She shared her fear with me. Birth.

"No no no no," I groan as I run my hands down my face.

"What's wrong, Alpha?" Rebecca asks as she stops cleaning up the blood from Skylar's arm.

"She's pregnant." I groan as I run my hands through my hair and tug on the ends. I need a haircut.

Rebecca looks at me confused. I should be happy. I can be a great dad. Bethany loves me and Ashton smiles at me. But a baby, a baby, a real baby. Our real baby. Crying baby. Holy shit.

"I'll be here for the pregnancy, Alpha. You have nothing to worry about," Rebecca laughs as she turns back to Skylar.

You better be. I mumble into my mind and sigh.

She's pregnant. My fucking mate is pregnant.

Skylar's pov.

Light. There's light here. I'm dead. I can see it. They describe the road to heaven with a white endless road but a bright light shining in one end. I see it.

I'm dead. I'm dead. No no no no.

Kira? I call out in my mind but I hear my voice echo around me. I spin around in the endless white room until a light flashes brightly in front of me. I cover my eyes with my hands as the light starts to burn them.

"Skylar," a soft sweet angelic voice calls out my name.

I lower my hands away from my eyes and stare at the beautiful woman standing in front of me. Her silver hair glows in the light as she dusts golden glitter off her pure white dress.

She's stunning.

My thoughts echo again around me and the woman smiles like an angel.

"Who are you?" I ask the stupid question though the answer floats around in my mind.

"You know me as the Moon Goddess. You are here to decide, Child. Come with me," She says.

I watch as she turns her back on me and walks towards the light in the endless white room. I blink my eyes and gasp as the room shrinks and she's standing next to the light. I quickly follow her.

I'm so dead.

She walks through the light and disappears. I spin around and try to look for her. I'm in a park. a beautiful flowery park. It's empty.

"Skylar," I hear a voice behind me and I spin around to see her walking towards me.

Sarah. Ashton's mother.

I start to cry as I feel my knees weaken. I fall to the ground and cover my face with my hands as she walks closer to me. She wraps her arms around me as I sob onto her shoulder.

"I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to get you killed. I'm so sorr-"

"Shush. It's not your fault," she hugs me tighter before letting me go. She wipes my tears away.

"Don't cry anymore," she says as the tears keep on falling. I wipe the tears away and nod.

"I'm sorry," I say to her quietly again.

"Don't apologise. I see you with him. He's happy, he's smiling and laughing. What else could have I asked for? I'm grateful to you," she smiles at me softly.

"I try to keep him happy," I say softly as I notice a man behind her. I stay on the ground not being able to feel my knees. The sudden shock to see her here left me on the ground.

"I know. I'm grateful. You're going to be a great mom to him. Keep him happy always okay?" She asks and I nod as the man places a hand on her shoulder.

"This is my mate, Mark." Sarah explains as she stands up. She places her hand out to me and I take it just as she disappears in front of my eyes.

I blink my eyes and all of a sudden I'm standing again. I look around the hospital room I'm in. I see my lifeless body on the bed and Cole shouting at me? I frown because I can't hear what he's saying. Rebecca, our healer runs inside as fast as she can and towards me. She starts shouting at me too. I notice my eyes shine a bright blue and I roar at them all.

"Pumpkin," I hear his voice behind me. I spin around to see my parents standing there, grinning at me. I choke on my tears as I run towards them. I wrap my hands around them both and cry.

"We're so proud of you," dad mumbles against my head as they hug me tightly.

I tighten my arms around them once again before I pull away.

"Am I dead?" I ask them quietly as I turn back to look at Bethany crying as she runs into the hospital room. She tries to shake my body but I don't move anymore.

"You're dying. Your tiger, Kira thinks you're dying too. She's trying everything to protect your baby so she's being aggressive. You need to go back, Skylar," Mom explains to me.

Baby.

"I'm pregnant," I say softly. Fear consumes my mind.

Thats what the Moon Goddess said. I have to decide.

Can I stay here? With my parents and in no pain? Or should I go back and look after three children? Should I go back to my mate who's shouting at me to wake up?

I turn around to look at my parents.

"Are you really proud of me?" I ask them.

Mom smiles as she pushes a strand of my hair back.

"We are proud to call you our daughter. You have gone through so much," she sighs and Dad frowns, " but you're still so strong. You've got a wonderful mate who loves you and you have two beautiful children who are waiting for you. We'll always keep an eye on you," She kisses my forehead softly.

"I'm one of the big stars in the sky. The cakes here are fantastic," Dad says and I chuckle a little as he grins at me, " We love you Pumpkin and when it's your time to come and meet us, we'll always be here for you," He says to me and I smile as I hug them both again.

I can miss them all I want. I can stay with them now, but my heart will be empty. My family is there, crying for me.

"How do I get back?" I ask and they smile as they let me go.

The room fills with darkness and I close my eyes tightly as I feel my body float somewhere.

"Alp-"

"CARRY ON! SHE'S NOT DEAD!" Cole shouts at someone.

I'm in my body. I can feel the rage Kira is feeling.

"Mommy! Wake up!" I hear Bethany as she shakes my arm.

"LIAM!" Cole shouts and I hear him enter the room with Ashton as he cries.

"Take her out of here," Cole says.

My eyes are too heavy to open. I feel like I have no eyes. Do I have eyes? I ask in return as I feel thud on the ground.

"You've got eyes, beautiful fucking eyes," he murmurs against my hand as he kisses it.

I open my eyes as slow as I can. I blink at the light as I lift my arms and cover my eyes.

"Leave." Cole tells everyone as they try to open the door and come inside the room. I watch as Rebecca leaves. Liam hands a crying Ashton to Cole as he leaves and closes the door behind him.

"Mommy!" Bethany grins as she tries to climb onto the bed. Cole lifts her up onto it and she wraps her hands around me.

"Don't leave me," she whispers quietly as I wrap my arm around her.

I missed you so fucking much, Cole mumbles into my mind.

I'm pregnant, I reply back to him. He grins at me.

I know. I had my little freaking moment a week ago. It's been a week baby, He explains as I raise my eyebrows as Bethany pulls away from me and sits next to me. She leans her head on my shoulder as I sit up carefully.

Ashton raises his arms to me and I laugh a little as Cole places him on my lap. Ashton immediately quietens down as Cole kisses my hand again.

Do you think I can look after three children? I ask him quietly in my mind.

I'm here with you. We'll look after them together. I'm planning to have more with you, Cole grins at me as I roll my eyes.

"I love you," I say to him and he leans down and kisses me on my lips quickly.

"I love you too," he grins at me as he places a kiss on my nose.

"I love you too mummy!" Bethany says proudly.

I smile at her.

"Mama!" Ashton claps his hands at me.
