9. You're no longer my Flower
"Wake up", Blaze said to Flower; he knew she wasn't sleeping and was only pretending to. "Are you going to tell me about what is going on? with you being the goddess daughter?" Blaze asked frustrated with the lies he had been around lately.
Being constantly lied to and used for people's benefit. "Let's dress; your wound" Flower offered, but even that kind gesture made Blaze's blood boil. He can see through Flower's fake persona.
"Let me fix you", Flower said. Blaze scoffed at the flower's statement. "Cora cut the crap. You, of all people, should know when someone is pretending. Am I right? You're doing it right now", Blaze laughed, then continued, "Fix? Are you fixing me? As far as I know, I'm just your duty as such. I'm only a broken glass. Don't waste your wine on me."
Flower was indeed Cora, the goddess of the moon's daughter. Who was assigned to protect Blaze until it was time for him to take over? With all of this, Flower said nothing, with the motive of protecting Blaze.
With a frustrated tone, she said, "I was only protecting you, Blaze." Did she not hear anything? I just said, Blaze thought to himself. "You lied, Cora; you hid the one thing I wanted to know"," he spat. All he wanted was for her to tell him the truth.
"And that is? That I was the goddess daughter, that I loved you, or was it the fact that your mother faked her death to get away from your greedy father", Blaze clenched his fist tightly.
"How would you know? You're the one who lied to me. Isn't that right, Cora? Or is that your real name", Blaze chuckled, trying his best to hold back the rage inside. "It's true; if you don't believe me, I can take you to my kingdom." Cora was telling the truth this time.
Who can say that when she's head over heels for the now-young adult Blaze, with well-defined abs and beautiful lips and eyes? Who can resist such beauty?
Blaze's voice seems to soften when he says it. "Why did she faked her death and ran away without me." Flowers's eyes met Blaze's eyes. His eyes didn't shine in the light anymore; it was a doll.
"Your father only used your mother for power; she had the connections he wanted to take revenge. For that to happen, he had to have someone who lacked love, someone who he could manipulate; that's how you came into the picture." Flower softly states, searching Blaze's eyes to find at least a little hope.
"Are you going to ignore the fact that I said I loved you", Flower asked softly, her eyes holding all the emotions she wanted to express.
Blaze's voice was cold. "You said 'loved'; it's in the past. How can you love someone so soon? How can you say you love me when you hide your true self from me?" Blaze said. Once again he was lied to.
"Why? Tell me why."
You're no longer my flower, Cora. You're just the star I can't seem to reach.
