Annabelle

I jumped into bed, my whole body tingling with chills. You did it Annabelle. You made it before sunrise. The note sat in my hands, and I rubbed the thin paper in between my fingers. I slowly held it up until it was in my view. It read:

Out with Gabriella and Mack. Be back before sunrise.

Smiling silently to myself, I thought about how I held felt when I wrote that note. Lost, scared, and not sure about the future. One night can really change your life, I suppose. It made me think about what Gabriella said before I left, and I came to the conclusion that she was wrong, but right. You should never spend your whole life chasing something, because then you waste it. But if you aren't throwing life away while you chase what you are seeking, then it's a dream, not chasing. That's why tonight was okay, I guess. We were chasing sunrise, but living life as we chased the beautiful reward that was sunrise. I smiled to myself as I closed my eyes, and the golden rays of sunrise seeped in through my window.
