After twenty minutes of being ignored by Gabriella, I think Derrick (and Martin) finally gave up on the concept, and I was glad. I didn't need anyone ruin a perfect night for me. I mean a really perfect night. But that's beside the point. The point was, it was 6:30, there was only twenty minutes before sunrise, and we had six other people to drop off before Derrick and I could go home. Not to mention, those six people just inconveniently lived fairly far apart.

"How are we on time?" Derrick asked hesitantly.

"Not too good..." I sighed. If we got home in time, it would be a miracle.

"What do you mean, not to good...?" Mitch said.

"I mean that we only have twenty minutes until sunrise, and it's gonna take about seventeen of those minutes to drop you guys off, and two to get to mine and Derrick's houses." I silently sang praise that Derrick and I were neighbors. "That leaves us sixty seconds to get into our rooms before sunrise, so NOT good!" I started to freak a little bit. Well, a lot a bit.

"Chill, we'll make it." Matt tried to soothe me.

Honestly, I don't even remember the rest of that ride. Nor did I care. I daydreamed a bit, and almost fell asleep. Before long, we had arrived at Derrick's house. We pulled into the drive, and I laughed at myself.

"What?" Derrick looked over at me.

"It's just been a crazy night." I whispered. I wasn't sure if I was talking to myself, or talking to Derrick.

"I know man. Hey, we need to get going," Derrick let his sentence trail off as we got out of the car and raced into our rooms.

I silently let myself in the door and slipped inside, sighing with relief that I remembered to leave the alarm system off when I left. The carpet softly emitted little taps as I raced up the stairs. My mattress squeaked as I threw myself into it and pulled my covers up to my ears. At last, I could let myself think about the crazy night. That's when I realized, I didn't want to think about it anymore. Because some things are just too amazing to think about, and you just have to wait until you can relive them again. Just like sunrise, you can't just think about it and sunrise will magically happen, you have to chase it until it comes again. Some things are worth chasing, and not overthinking.
