We were walking out to the SUV when Cam came running, calling Annabelle's name. "Looks like lover boy's at is again." I elbowed Annabelle. She elbowed me right back and grabbed me and Mack's hand, dragging us towards Cam.

"Hey, woah!" Mack protested the unexpected gesture.

"Yeah, Cam?" Annabelle bit her lip once we met him. It was a nervous habit Mack and I were trying to help her break, but Annabelle just doesn't break habits easy.

"Where were you guys headed?" Cam asked us. "I mean, we already had a plan in place, I was just curious." He clarified. I knew he was up to something, and I knew Derrick was behind it. I just wasn't sure what it was that they were up to.

"Mogermentry Park?" Annabelle replied with unease. She turned to me and Mack for confirmation. We agreed.

"Cool. We were headed to ah...Mogermentry Library." Cam didn't pause for a long time, but long enough for me to pick up on the break in his sentence and confirm my suspicions that he and Derrick were up to something. I'm sure that his whole crew was working together to get him and Annabelle together. That means that Mack and I had to work super hard since Cam had like seven people backing him up and we were just two people.

"Cool." Annabelle said lamely. She was at a loss for words, and we had to get her outta there.

"Well c'mon Annabelle, we're burning moonlight!" Mack exclaimed. Apparently she was thinking the same thing as I was. It sure could be helpful when we thought alike.

Annabelle recovers pretty quick. She skipped away with the rest of us out to the car. "I want the front! You've had it forever!" Annabelle argued with Mack.

"You had it on the long drive here!" Mack shot back.

"Yeah, but you had it after Quincella's!" Annabelle said as she tried yet again to shoved Mack out of the way. She was strong, but not strong enough. Mack had enough and pushed Annabelle away and got into the door.

"Fine then!" Annabelle slid into the backseat and sulked.

"Woah, driving and dealing with two children?! I do feel older!" I joked in an attempt to lighten the mood. It worked, and Annabelle and Mack dissolved into giggles.

"What do you guys want to do at Mogermentry Park?" Annabelle asked.

"I don't know. They have that stargazing activity for me and Mack, but I have a feeling you already have plans." I smirked at Annabelle.

"Shut up, I don't have plans." Annabelle tried to look irritated, but underneath her thin layer of fake irritation, was a deep pool of satisfaction. "Besides, Cam's going to the library." She crossed her arms as if she had made a point. Mack and I just looked at her and laughed. "What?" Annabelle's eyebrows crept toward each other in confusion.

"Nothing," I managed to say through my laughter.

"C'mon, let's get on the road!" Mack exclaimed. And with that, I backed out and we were on our journey to adventure... At 40 MPH.
