Cam is a great guy, don't get me wrong, but he is just so awkward sometimes! Like not the is a clutz and falls on his face awkward (and I'm not saying he hasn't), but the talking and socializing awkward. That's why I stole his phone in the first place. Sometimes he just needs me and the guy's help, especially when it comes to the ladies.
After he chased me around the parking lot for about ten minutes, I finally decided to press send. His face turned a ghostly white, and he grabbed the phone from me. Cam looked down at the screen, and then his face got extremely red.
"You made me chase you around the parking lot for ten minutes for that?" He growled.
"It's good exercise?" I tried, giving him a little smile.
"I'll show you exercise." Cam gave me his death stare. I knew what that meant, and ran off into Quincella's.
Once we were all seated at the table and actually acting semi-civilized, our food appeared. All eight of us had decided on ordering Quincella's signature Grande Everything Pizza, which was a pizza with a diameter of two feet, and you could basically order any toppings you want. It was pretty much cheaper than all of us ordering our own meals, so we decided on that.
Since all of us had been waiting for almost an hour for our food (which is understandable considering it's size) we all just dug it. I was reaching for my third slice, when Cam's phone went off. He put down his piece and reached into the pocket of his jacket.
"What does it say?" I asked as I tried to release my pizza from the rest of the stubborn pie as it was trying to cling on by little strings of cheese. I was trying to appear calm and collected, which was a challenging task for me.
"Nothing." Cam replied, shoveling more pizza in his mouth to avoid any more conversation.
"Yeah, sure." I said sarcastically as I swiftly swiped his phone from where he had stupidly set it on the table.
"Hey!" Cam tried to yank it out of my hand, but I held it farther away.
"Eat your pizza!" I joked, imitating Cam's mom. He didn't really listen.
"It's not yours!" Cam growled, reaching over me to try and reach my phone. When I switched it to my other hand, he reached around behind me and grabbed it.
"Fine then." I held my hands back and let him have it. Cam just gave me a little glare and looked down at his screen. I wanted to help him, to give him advice, but he wasn't having it. I decided to just let it go and steal his phone later, when he wasn't paying attention.
In the meantime, it was killing me that his fingers were fluttering over the keypad without my input. He pressed send, and placed his phone on the table. Cam looked at me as if he was waiting for something.
"What?" I asked.
"Look. I don't care anymore." He calmly replied. I cautiously took his phone and opened up his messages. What I saw next wasn't really what I was expecting.
