Saint Emma

Hello my lovelies, I want to throw out a litte warning. I have a heated moment coming up, so if you're sensitive, perhaps you should cover your eyes and only read between your fingers...
Now, on with the story!

The day after that shocking experience, I woke up with a major migraine. I just moaned and tried to fight the nausea, straining the brain to remembering where I had my pills. Even without peeking to see where I was, I knew I was with Damon; I could feel his arms around me and I could smell his sweet scent. Unfortunately all I could do was try to move away slowly in case I had to make a quick exit due to the nausea.
"Are you okay?" Damon asked concerned.
"No." I whispered. "Migraine."
"Oh..." He lowered his voice. "Do you have your pills?"
Once again I tried to remember, but my brain just felt like a rebar was sticking in my eye and out through the back of my head and I couldn't think. "I don't think so..." I breathed, doing my best to relax. All I could do was keep my eyes closed to keep any light out.
"I'll fix you, Sweetie..." He mumbled soft and in my daze I felt him carefully slide closer to me and then I felt his arm against my lips. "There you go, love."
With a careful sigh of relief I gripped his arm and did my best to suckle some of that healing blood of his before the wound shut closed again. For a while after, I stayed in that position, lying on my side with him behind me like a spoon or almost a cocoon of comfort and security. In just minutes I felt the painful iron bar dissolve and the nausea slip from me and soon thereafter I was able to relax and turn to face him and open my eyes.
"Thank you; you have no idea how grateful I am to have you by my side."
I watched his expression brighten with a sweet smile. "Oh, I think I do." He said and showered me with feather light soft kisses.
I slid my hands in his raven-black hair and moaned softly, which caused him to cover my lips with his in a deep smouldering kiss. Softly he rolled on top of me and I leaned my head back bashfully against the pillows as he continued to kiss me along the jaw and down my neck. I could hear my pulse beating hard and felt that familiar clench low in my stomach.
"Is it my turn now?" I heard him whisper; that soft clench in my stomach turned into an electric pulse in an instant and I moaned. "Yes..."
As soon as I felt the soft scraping of his canine against my skin, I turned into a puddle of lust and my body was on high alert for release as he piercing my skin. A loud moan left my lips as that first pinch turned into a soft suckle and I wrapped my legs around his hips. That was all the encouragement that he needed to possess my body as he had my soul and the dull ache inside me was rewarded as he entered me. Instantly I was so turned on that I was barely aware of what was happening; all I knew was that I wanted him all around me and inside of me.
I lost all sense of time during this intense connection, all I was aware of was the feelings that his body awoke in me as the rhythmic thrusts took us higher and higher. The release was so intense that I must have been screaming out loud, because suddenly I felt his hand covering my mouth and a soft chuckle in my ear as my body reverberated from pleasure.
Slowly I opened my eyes to find his gorgeous ice-blue ones sparkling at me. I couldn't help but to smile back at him and suddenly I giggled like a schoolgirl. "Wow!"
He chuckled soft and rolled over to his side, with my legs still circled around him. "Was it as good for you as it was for me?" He joked, making me convulse with laughter.
"Wow, how will I ever be able to be with another guy after you?"
"Ouch!" He froze and my own question hit me like a sucker punch. Did I really say that?! "I... I mean, I will never be a woman again when you leave me." I stuttered.
"Why would I leave you?" He watched me intense.
"You are like this God, every girl's wet dream." I stuttered. "And I'm just... me."
His eyebrows were furrowed. "Just you?" He kept looking at me and I felt embarrassingly self-conscious all of a sudden.
"I've been hung up on a chick for one and a half century, just to find that I've been screwed over. And then I was screwed over again by her look-alike." His voice was rough and sharp. "Suddenly you showed up like a flash of lightning, and you have put your life in my hands over and over; you have chosen me even when I've tried to push you away." His voice was soft and caring now. "How could I deserve a saint like you?"
I watched him with my mouth open, totally blown away by his statement; all I could do was blink.
"Not to mention that you have saved my life... or non-life." He added with a smile and a shrug of the eyebrows. "You are a saint; my saviour."
A smile spread out on my face. "Salvatore..." Was all I said.
"Yes; saviour..."
"But I'm not exactly a saint..." I got a cheeky smile and I could feel my eyes sparkle of mischief. "I'm the princess of darkness, remember." I giggled.
He looked at my face. "Yes, but you look like and angel in that blond hair, Salvatore."
By now I giggled like a schoolgirl again. "You're not proposing, are you?"
He chuckled and rolled us both around in his bed. "No, that wouldn't be bad ass enough." He chuckled. "I'm not a good guy, I'm a monster." He mumbled soft and started to kiss my neck again.
"Yes, but you're my monster!" I said possessively.
"Yes, and you're my princess of darkness."

"I think I wanna go running today. It's been such a long time." I told Stefan and Damon in the kitchen as we had some breakfast. "Now we don't have to look over our shoulder for mommy dearest."
"Urrgh, running; why?" Damon said with a grimace.
I chuckled. "I'm not one of those vamp-chicks that just stay in shape forever no matter what... so I better stay fit."
Elena walked through the door at that moment, smelling the pungent scent of fried bacon and eggs. "Oh God it smells good, I'm so hungry!"
Stefan was instantly by her side, startling her momentarily. "How are you?" He instantly felt her neck for pulse and looked her in the eyes, like some doctor. "Are you okay, really?"
"Yes, I feel fine." She said smiling at him. "But I'm hungry!" She chuckled in the sweetest way, and I wanted to jump up and hug her.
"How about joining me for a run, now that you have human speed again?" I said and she gave me a cheeky smile. "Yeah it was no fun to run with you when you were a vamp-chick!" Both Elena and I laughed.
We started to cook some pancakes together and after having totally devoured that meal, Elena agreed to go running with me.
"Are you sure you don't want us to come with you?" Damon asked.
"Yes, positive!" I said sharply. "You will only do your best to make us feel human, I'm sure." I said making us all laugh.
"I can't help I'm fast... and strong!" Damon had this defensive tone of voice. "I blame Stefan!"
"Still?" I asked.
"Well... yes." His eyes flickered towards his conscious brother.
"Maybe you should print a tee with something like 'My brother built this awesome body'?" I teased, even making Stefan laugh. We sat there for a while talking, almost like we had in the beginning of my stay here in Mystic Falls, everything was getting normal again; as normal as life ever got in this town.
"So, will Klaus need your services from now on?" I asked Elena, referring to her position as blood-bag...
"He hasn't said anything yet, but I guess so." She said with a sigh. "He was after all the one that made this happen, so I guess I owe him."
"If only that man could learn how to trust people instead of threatening everybody." I sighed. The others were just staring at me as if I had hit my head hard in something. "Oh, just forget it!" I said, not wanting to get into that discussion.
An hour later Elena had been home and changed clothes and we could head outside. The weather was sunny and warm and it felt amazing to run along the road and then along the paths in the woods. Birds were chirping and a light breeze was making the trees sway idyllic. I was a little out of breath and I was joking about how I needed to get in better shape to stay ahead in the game with Damon.
"Yeah, that was one of the perks, being a vampire." Elena said, feeling even more out of shape. "That feeling wasn't making it worth it though."
"Too bad!" I joked.
There were some weird noises in the woods as if somebody was heading our way and I looked curiously in between the trees, but all I felt was a sharp pain in the neck and then all went black.

When I came to I was lying on the couch in the Salvatore parlour; I took a deep breath and everybody jumped startled.
"Emma?" Elena was crying and both brothers were instantly by my side.
"Hey, what's the matter; I'm fine!" I said, but it came out as a croak. "What happened? I heard someone in the woods, did you see them? They didn't get you, did they?"
It took her some time to answer me. "Yes, I mean no, I didn't see anything." She looked worried. "And I'm fine, but how are you?"
I sat up and was a little woozy and my ears were ringing. "How hard did I fall?" I joked. "It feels as if all blood has left my system." I smiled, but I was the only one. I reached for Damon and he sat down on the couch beside me. "Did you have to save me again, Sweetie?" I teased him, but he just looked worried.
That's when I got annoyed with them. "Okay, spill it!" I commanded.
They looked from one to the other and twisted and turned. Finally Damon took a deep breath. "Emma, you died."
I just stared at him. "Clearly not!" I smiled cheeky. "I'm up, alive and kicking!" I was even perky. "You don't bounced back from death, unless..." My smile disappeared as it hit me. "You fixed my migraine this morning, if I was to die with your blood in my system..." I smirked, but stopped and stared at their serious faces.
"No, you're joking!" I said with a smile. "If I was turning I'd be like..." I demonstrated with a choking sound, and then a pretend growling sound, making claws with my fingers in the air. "And clearly you can see that I'm not!" I gave them a blinding smile. "So, you can stop worry!" I said and gave Damon a kiss on the cheek. "I'm hungry." I bounced up from the couch and headed for the kitchen. I stopped and looked expectantly at them. "Are you coming? Elena, you must be hungry?"
She had such a worried expression on her face that I felt a need to comfort her. "You can all just relax now, I'm fine!" I looked out and it was still light. "I couldn't have been out for long, it is still light out." I smiled.
"The accident was yesterday Emma; you've been out for almost twenty four hours." Stefan informed me kindly.
What?
I walked back to the couch and glanced out the window to really check if it was daylight. "Did I hit myself that hard when I fell?" I slumped down on the couch.
"You were attacked, Emma!"
I looked worriedly at them, surely the must be kidding.
"No headache?" Stefan asked.
"Yeah a little, but I woke up with migraine."
"Yesterday!"
I was starting to get irritated. "Surely I would know if I was in transition? Or at least you would know; you've all been going through it!" I added with a smile.
"Yes we have!" Stefan was the one in charge. Elena and Damon looked like they both were about to cry. "And I'm sorry Emma, but I couldn't hear or detect any heartbeat when you were out."
I looked at them as if they still were pulling a fast one on me but they were just as serious as before. With a sigh I broke the silence again. "Well, you probably need a hearing aid; someone as old as you, certainly needs that!" I got up and walked to the kitchen where I pushed the door a little too hard, making it smash to the wall. I wanted to yell sorry, but I remembered that I was mad at them for not taking me seriously.
Stefan was the one to walk into the kitchen as I sat down by the table with my bowl of cereal. "Are they sending in the body guard?" I said curtly.
He just shrugged his eyebrows in his usual trademark frown. "We're worried Emma."
I exhaled half a laugh. "But I'm fine! You don't have to worry!" While chewing and chewing on those darn cereals, I was thinking about how this wasn't what I wanted. The grocery store was definitely worth a detour, but I wanted to see Anna.
"They aren't especially good today?"
I looked up at Stefan who had a pointed 'I told you so' look on his face. At first I gave him a surprised look, but then I got what he was referring to. "Well, I guess I was craving something else." I said and all I got was another 'I told you so' look. "I was talking about food!" I just shook my head. "Could you just please admit that you made a mistake, this is no big deal."
Stefan just kept watching me intense.
I finished my light meal, rinsed out my bowl and put it in the dishwasher without looking at Stefan and walked out of the kitchen. In the parlour, Damon sat leaning forward on his knees with Elena by his side, stroking his arm affectionate.
I grid my teeth. "I'm going over to Klaus' to se Anna." I informed them. "Can I take the car?" Ever since we got back we've been using the blue Chevy, and I had no idea where that slick black Ferrari went; I wouldn't mind that one.
Damon just looked up at me with his eyebrows pressed together, shadowing those gorgeous blue eyes. "But it's daylight out!"
I rolled my eyes.
"Yes, and that's why I'm going over there." I stated. "She's asleep at night." I sighed, suppressed the irritation and walked over to the worried-looking Damon and sat down on his lap, forcing Elena to move away from him. "I know you are worried darling, but really; I am fine. This is all just a misunderstanding." I stroked his cheek affectionate. "I'm just going over to see Anna, okay?"
He looked so sad, that I felt sorry for him.
"You can come if you want." I smiled.
Damon flickered his eyes towards his brother, and then he took a deep breath. "I don't want you to go." His blue eyes were straight at mine, almost compelling me to stay.
An apologetic smile formed on my face. "I love you Sweetie, I'm not leaving you; I just want to see how my best friend is doing today."
Once again he looked confused, and his eyes flickered to Stefan.
"Come on Emma, I'll take you!" Stefan said patiently, as I gave both brothers a disappointed look.
That's okay, I could do an hour without Damon, it wasn't like I owned him; I was just not comfortable with Elena feeling him up. I forced a smile on my face. "I'll see you soon baby."
The kiss I gave him might have been a little to lingering and a little too deep, but hey; I've always been a bit on the jealous side.
