CHAPTER TWELVE - THREE LIES AND A TRUTH

━━━━━ •:•☾☼☽•:• ━━━━━

THERE WAS A CRACK in the white silk curtains where the morning light cut across the floor like a solo ray of pure yellow light. Josephine scrunched her nose and allowed her body to roll over to one side, expecting her arm to hit a solid body but instead fell upon the comforter of the bed.

The blonde furrowed her eyebrows in confusion while stretching out her shoulders in the bed, face down in the pillow before she turned and opened her eyes to find that the other side of her bed was empty. Which was not much of a surprise since she had frequently woken up alone for the past week but it was still saddening to find Sonya not occupying the other half.

It was obvious at this point that the wrestler had been avoiding her.

Josephine couldn't help but pick her phone off the end table beside the bed, find the brunette's contact number. She lingered with her thumb over the call symbol. Was it really worth calling about? She thought. Josephine didn't think she had these feelings for Sonya, but why was she feeling a bit concerned about the fact that she was ghosting her?

The tired blonde bit down onto her bottom lip while her thumb pressed the call button without a second thought. She at least needed to know where she was, Josephine was not this awful person who just didn't care about a person, she did. Sonya was her friend after all.. with maybe a bit of side benefits.

But the call went to voice mail after a few rings, which made Josephine purse her lips. She felt upset about the fact that Sonya didn't pick up.

With a sigh of frustration, Josephine tossed the covers over her body and stood up, rolling her neck to stretch her sore muscles while she yawned. She knew she could not be mad about the fact that Sonya had been avoiding her for a week now. When it came down to it, Josephine reminded herself that she had decided that they weren't going to amount to nothing else expect the fact that they were friends with benefits.

As soon as Josephine entered the bathroom in her hotel, her hand immediately picked up her toothbrush, not wanting another moment tasting her own morning breath. She looked back at herself in the huge mirror that made the bathroom wall look even bigger than it actually was while she put the brush into her mouth. One of the things that she came to realize how much she loved about traveling to these kind of cities, is the luxurious hotels that the company made them stay at.

Growing up, Josephine didn't have the money for those things. She didn't have the luxury of having room service brought to her, or even showering in a glass shower. It was the little things that she appreciated now that she had this job, and traveling around the world was a bonus, if you could get over the limit of sleep.

Turning around while brushing her pearly whites, her blonde curls spilled onto her forehead from her messy bun but her eyes focused on the bruise that was developing on the back of her shoulder blade. Her eyes widened at the purplish pigment that decorated her skin in several places since she had wrestled Charlotte Flair.

Her focus was torn away when she could hear her phone buzzing on the end table beside the bed, and Josephine walked and grabbed her phone. She answered the face time call and soon a blonde female appeared on the screen, sleepy eyes looking back at her but a smile on her face regardless.

"Josephine, come join us at the breakfast bar." Charlotte called through the phone while she walked down the hallway of the hotel, an entourage of people following behind her.

Josephine spit out the paste from her mouth into the sink before speaking. "Right now? I just woke up." Even though Josephine worked last night on an empty stomach, the hunger had not kicked in yet.

She was one of those individuals that could not stomach anything in the morning until they have been awoke for a few minutes. But she supposed she could stomach a nice steaming cup of coffee.

"So, we all have too." Charlotte responded and leaned the camera to the group of wrestlers that were following behind her. Peyton and Billie waved at the camera, both sporting tired eyes and messy ponytails that were obviously slept in. "Please. I'll buy your breakfast."

Josephine put her head to the side while she thought about it. "Yeah, okay."

Charlotte gleamed at that while The Iconics cheered behind her. "Meet us down there. We will wait for you."

Josephine sighed dramatically when she ended the call because she didn't really want to go and hang out with them. She wanted to stay in the hotel a bit longer and lay in bed before she was forced to get up and do something with her life. But she also knew the value of making friends here since she didn't have very many girl friends, she was always good at making friends with men.

Pulling a pair of white oversize joggers over her bare legs to complete her spaghetti strap red crop top, Josephine grabbed her wallet from her bag and fished her key card to unlock the door before leaving her hotel room.

Josephine could already hear the laughter of Charlotte Flair as she walked down the hallway, coming upon the group of wrestlers that included: Billie and Peyton, Seth, Drew, AJ, Mandy, and the woman who caught her eye, Sonya.

Sonya caught her gaze when she and Mandy were one of the last people who walked out of the elevator and immediately felt the guilt of not picking up her call from this morning when she saw Josephine's side glare. Josephine fought a war inside of her head when she thought about walking towards Sonya and asking why she didn't pick up her call but decided against it, instead moved to walk alongside Charlotte Flair. Charlotte mentioned the bruise on the back of her shoulder upon seeing it.

"Was your sleep messed up as mine was?" Josephine questioned the blonde walking beside her who linked her arm into hers while they walked between the tables of the breakfast bar.

The smell of coffee and different breakfast foods immediately invaded her nostrils and almost made her drool. Her lips even tilted upwards from the smell of the delicious aroma.

"Yeah, had to come out to the gym at like three in the morning." Charlotte sat down at the table, moving over to let Josephine grab the chair next to her, and then Seth slid in next to Josephine.

"Ugh, that sounds amazing. I should have joined you." Josephine commented which made Charlotte nod at her, telling her that next time she will ask her to join in on her midnight workout.

Josephine's eyes flickered up towards Peyton, but then glued onto Mandy and Sonya as they walked their separate ways from the group that just sat down, which was caught by Peyton whom looked back at Sonya walking away from them.

Peyton pursed her lips questionably since she had thought that something was going on between Josephine and the Jersey Girl, so why wouldn't she sit down with the rest of them?

"What's going on with the two of you?" Peyton questioned which made Seth look over at the brunette and then pack towards the blonde. "I thought you guys were together."

"We weren't together, just friends-"

"With benefits." Seth pushed into the sentence which Josephine groaned out and elbowed the man in the side.

"Seriously Seth?" Josephine glared at him and then rolled her eyes when he sheepishly shrugged his shoulders with a dorky smile on his face. She shook her head and carried on with the rest of her sentence. "I don't know, she just stopped talking to me like a few days ago."

Charlotte had been looking over towards the dark-brunette with a questionable look in her eyes as she laughed with her tag-partner, Mandy Rose. "Did she catch feelings for you?"

Josephine turned her head to look towards Charlotte with a look on her face. There was no way that Sonya had caught feelings for her, Josephine would have noticed that. "I don't think so? I mean, I don't really know, we don't talk about those things."

"Who would want to talk about feelings anyways when you're down between-- OW!" Josephine elbowed Seth in the side a bit harder this time which caused the words to stop coming from his mouth.

"Do you have a fucking off button?" Josephine shook her head while a disbelieving laugh escaped from her mouth.

Before anyone could add anything to the comment, A waitress came over with a pad and a pen in her hands while a smile decorated her aged face.

Everyone ordered a coffee from the table until Josephine was the last to put her beverage request, "Do you guys carry soy milk?" To which the waitress smiled and nodded her head, "Okay, I'll have coffee to then."

"That's so gross in coffee. Barely has any taste, dunno how you stand it." Billie told Josephine from across the crowded table, getting up  to dish out her breakfast just like the others.

Josephine shrugged with a blank expression on her face. "I don't really have a choice, allergic to dairy." she informed her which made the fellow Australian native nod back in understanding. The small group walked towards the buffet part of the small restaurant that was attached to the side of the hotel, which was surprisingly cozy and modern looking.

Josephine had seen some pretty shitty breakfast bars in Los Angeles when she was too bothered to make herself breakfast herself when traveling for work, and none had the options that this bar had provided. Everything looked delicious and cooked perfectly, but looks could be deceiving too.

Josephine bit down onto her bottom lip while scanning the assortment of foods, wondering if she could actually stomach anything. She should probably eat something since she didn't eat much last night. With a hesitant sigh, she reached for the small pieces of assorted fruits, placing them on her bare plate when Becky had stepped up beside her.

Josephine glanced at her sideways. She hoped that maybe the redhead wouldn't of noticed that she had glanced her way, but it seemed that after she had put a few slices of buttered toast onto her own plate, Becky caught her glance.

"How you feeling Charlotte two? Like a truck hit ya?" Becky questioned in her deeper than usual Irish accent, perhaps it was because she had just woken up like she had.

Josephine managed to keep silent when Becky's arm hit the back of Josephine's injured shoulder, an uncomfortable expression was the only thing that told the red-head that she was in pain, which made the Irish woman smile grow even more wicked.

"Probably much better than you, Rebecca." Josephine managed to mock the red-head through her discomfort, the pain only growing inside her joints when Becky had shoved her slightly.

"You seemed pretty comfortable lying on your back after being thrown over the announce table."

Becky stuck her tongue out of her mouth to wet her lips while she delivered a sarcastic smile that was usually present on The Man's face nowadays.

"Don't worry sweetheart, I think you should be more worried about keeping me down." Becky had leaned towards her, enough to smell the fresh scent of mint toothpaste coming from her mouth. "Cause I get up every time." she whispered while her finger grabbed a piece of pineapple from the blonde's plate, sliding the juicy fruit between her lips.

Josephine's blue eyes went straight for Becky's lips, only to have them shoot back towards Becky's face as soon as it happened. Her mouth opened to retaliate with a witty reply when she felt someone stand behind her, which made the red-head in front of her break into a bigger, even more wicket smile as her eyes settled onto Charlotte. "Charlotte one." she greeted before walking away.

Josephine's eyes followed the ginger's movements when she walked towards Sonya and Mandy sitting beside each other in a corner booth. Charlotte rolled her eyes at her former best-friend, whom she couldn't recognize anymore with the spotlight blinding her. Then, her eyes narrowed down at Josephine who was still starring which made her raise her eyebrows.

"Holy fuck, you're totally into Becky." Charlotte leaned towards the younger blonde with a knowing look in her eyes.

Josephine's head turned to the side faster than Charlotte said Becky's name, "What?" she broke out into a smile as she let out a nervous chuckle. "No I'm not."

Charlotte hit the younger blonde's shoulder as Josephine went red as the raspberry jam on top of Charlotte's piece of toast. "I just seen you checking out her ass, you totally have the hots for Becky."

Charlotte thought about it. The whole situation involving them did not make any sense at first. Becky would always speak down about the blonde, when Charlotte assumed that the red head didn't even know her. Whenever they were together in a room, all chaos would be let loose. Even their matches seemed to come off as personal in a way.

The older blonde started to connect the dots within her mind, coming up with the conclusion that something might have happened between the two.

"That explains the tension between you two, did something happen? Oh my god, something happened didn't it?"

Josephine felt like she was being interrogated by how quickly the words escaped the mouth of Charlotte Flair. They felt demanding and Josephine felt herself panic slightly, "Becky isn't even into women."

Charlotte rolled her eyes but the smile on her face never faltered as she pressed for the truth to her question. "You know, I did see Becky leave with a woman the night after SummerSlam happened," Charlotte put a finger up towards her lips to think about the blurry night. "and now that I think about it, she looked just like you."

Josephine was like a deer that was caught in headlights, knowing that something was coming at full speed at her. But unlike the deer, it was not a vehicle coming towards her, it was the truth coming to slap her in the face.

Josephine opened her mouth but no words came out, instead she struggled with her words and shrugged her shoulders. "I-" she blinked back while Charlotte opened her mouth in surprise.

"YOU SLEPT WITH HER?" Charlotte said a little too loudly when the gears started running in her head, and caught the whole attention of the breakfast bar including the ginger who looked up curiously.

It was only until Becky's eyes set upon Josephine. Her mouth was wide open in shock, and her blue eyes were widened like two saucers as their eyes connected. Becky lips went into a thin line as her eyes went into two slits when she realized what conversation was going on between the two of them. From the other side of the table, Sonya was looking back and forth between the two blondes.

Josephine's gaze left Becky's only to meet the gleaming stare of Charlotte Flair, "I can't talk about this, I-" Josephine started as she walked back towards the table they were sitting at, putting her plate on the table before retreating out of the restaurant.

When she reached the bathroom of the lobby of the hotel, Josephine stared back at her startled reflection in the mirror. Her cheeks were heated up out of embarrassment as she remembered the way that everyone turned to look at the two of them, as the secret that she tried to keep had been spilled out into an open room.

It was only until the door of the bathroom opened that Josephine's eyes left her own reflection to stare back at the fuming red head who barged in, locking the door behind her.

"Are you fucking serious right now?" Becky yelled over at her while she walked forward, towards the blonde who was staring back with widened eyes. "Are you trying to ruin my life?"

Josephine shook her head. "Becky I never-"

"I just heard you tell Charlotte that we slept together," Becky's blazing brown eyes were going black, a flicker of hurt showing on her face. "Don't fucking lie to my face and say that you didn't tell her."

"But I didn't!" Josephine told her while shaking her head repeatedly which made Becky throw her hands up in frustration, her body turning to walk away from the blonde until she grabbed hold of the ginger's wrist to pull her back.

It was almost like her touch burned her because Becky snatched her arm back from the blonde with the utmost hatred burning within her eyes.

"I didn't tell Charlotte anything, Becky. She figured it out." Josephine begged for the ginger to believe her but Becky decided to let the truth slip past her ears and instead, shook her head in disbelief. "She was there that night, she saw us leave."

"Charlotte left ten minutes before we fucked in the bathroom, don't feed me your bullshit excuses."

Disbelief filled Josephine's delicate features while she shook her head. She still couldn't believe that she needed to convince the Irish woman that she was telling the truth. "Why do you always assume that I'm not telling the truth?" she questioned her with disbelief in her tone.

Becky's eyes narrowed down staring into the blue eyes filled with some sort of sadness, even though Josephine tried her hardest to remain emotionless. "You were the one with the lies." Josephine said under her breath which made Becky huff out of frustration.

That was something that Becky knew was the truth. She was to blame for her past decisions involving the two nights they slept together, only to find out that Josephine had dug into her a little deeper, finding out she was engaged before she could even cut her off completely.

She could remember that night so clearly. Like it had happened a day ago. She hadn't seen Josephine so distraught before. But here she stood with the same look in her eyes but this time there was no tears spilling down her cheeks.

"I have never lied to you." Her eyes were starting to frost over, like a lake turning to ice when the cold nips at the top layer. "You have lied about your relationship and you continue to lie about not having any feelings for me."

Becky head had quickly turned after the words left her lips, her hazel eyes were burning back into Josephine's frosty ones. This time it was the blonde pushing Becky back with aggression, because frankly she had been attacked, accused of lying when she spoke the truth. She was tired of these games of hurting one another.

"You try to make my life a living hell in hopes that you can push me away and your feelings along with it." Josephine's eyes were like two sharp daggers staring back into Becky's soul, which made the ginger tense with every word of truth coming out of her lips.

"You've never been so wrong, Josephine." Becky spat the words out of her mouth, lying right through her teeth while the blonde stood her ground.

"You keep pushing me away like that, you're soon going to find out that I don't go away so easily." Josephine told her before she left the red-head behind her, unlocking the door and walking through it.

Becky watched the blonde leave and clenched her eyes together while looking to the ceiling, her fist coming down onto a bathroom stall door, knocking the door forwards to hit the other side with a slam. Becky was red in the face once her eyes landed on her own reflection, but she was staring back at someone who seemed like a complete stranger, and she didn't know if she liked the girl staring back at her through the glass.

━━━━━ •:•☾☼☽•:• ━━━━━

"You have such great style," Charlotte commented as she walked into the bathroom, looking over at the blonde who was painting her lips with a dark blue. "I would kill for those boots." she then pointed down towards the black ankle boots that adored Josephine's feet.

"You can borrow them if you like." Josephine told her as she closed her lipstick tube, looking back towards Charlotte who had dressed in a pair of light wash skinny jeans and a purple deep v-neck bodysuit.

"I might just take you up on your offer." Charlotte turned her head to look towards the blonde who was putting hoops into her ears.

Josephine had agreed to get ready with Charlotte since the other woman who was going to tag along, already had their own groups that they were getting ready with. Not that she was complaining, she soon realized that with the amount of time that she did spent with the youger blonde, that they had plenty in common.

Josephine had already sipped through two bottles of wine since she had arrived, which was about an hour ago but who was really counting? Both girls had spent the time laughing while Josephine helped to pick out Charlotte's clothing. Charlotte felt like she could relate to Josephine in more ways than one. Perhaps it was the words that were said in the locker room about her, just like they had been about Charlotte some time ago.

She had heard the rumors that the locker room had spread with eachother, that Josephine was only in the World Wrestling Entertainment just because of who her best-friend was. They wondered if Paige was not the current General Manager of Smackdown, would Josephine even be in the business? Same thing was said about Charlotte some time ago, but she had proved them all wrong with her outstanding performances.

Charlotte knew how it felt to be under someone's shadow, people thinking that you're only allowed the door into the business because of who your father is, or in this case, who your best-friend was. She understood opportunities, and the way that Charlotte saw it was that Josephine had taken an opportunity that anyone else with a brain would have taken.

She admired the blonde for that. Knowing before she took the job that others would accuse her of not being good enough for this business, and slowly, she was proving that she was meant to be here regardless of who her friend was.

Charlotte glanced over at the blonde with curiousness in her eyes. Her mind had walked back to the whole situation with Becky. When Josephine walked out of that bathroom, she ditched the whole group during breakfast not even bothering to say goodbye to them.

"So, are you going to tell me about what's going on with you and Becky?" Charlotte suddenly asked her which made Josephine look up from her wallet, raising an eyebrow over towards her.

"No comment." Josephine simply shut down the question while fishing through her wallet and pulling out a fifty dollar bill. "If you want answers, ask Becky."

Charlotte pouted back over at the blonde because she knew that she would not be able to get anything out of Becky. Since Becky had been feeling this new change of person, and becoming more and more like her character everyday, they weren't on the best of terms. Sure, they might have patched things up in the time-span that they had a feud, but they were not like what they used to be.

"That isn't fair, Jo!" Charlotte argued as her arms crossed. "Becky doesn't tell me anything anymore."

Josephine shrugged back at her. She was not about to tell Charlotte about what had happened between the two, since she promised she wouldn't. Josephine kept her promises, she always had. "I'm sorry, Charlotte. I can't."

Charlotte sighed, lifting both of her hands in defeat as she gave up on pressing the questions. If there was anything Charlotte was certain of, it was the fact that eventually she would find out the truth.

Josephine pulled a faux fur coat over her shoulders while Charlotte turned to face the Australian native after searching through her own bag for loose change and dollar bills. Josephine was dressed in some high waisted black leather shorts, a black halter styled lingerie that she found would have went perfect with her choice of provocative clothing.

Josephine swept her curly hair over her shoulder as she looked over at Charlotte with an approving look, "Well, ready to stop traffic?" she said, her lips turning up with a cocky smirk.

Charlotte shook her head with a smile on her face, a laugh escaping from her mouth as she did so. "You're something else, Josephine Wilson."

Josephine scrunched up her nose in disgust, but a slight tinge of hurt came from her eyes. "You sound like my mother, let's go."

•:•☾☼☽•:•

Clubbing wasn't really Becky's cup of tea—truthfully, she considered everything so irrationally wild and extremely out of her comfort zone. The red-head rarely, if ever, put on provocative clothing and danced with complete and utter strangers. She extremely preferred a bar with much less people filling the crowded space, so when Becky entered the bar with The Iconics leading the way, her eyes widened.

It was only until Josephine had arrived with her own small group of friends following behind her, is when the party really did start. The blonde arrived after cutting through the line while holding onto Charlotte's hand, pushing her along with her. Her eyes lit up with blue, green, and pink neon lights when she entered the club, the bouncer's eyes following the young blonde as she smirked to herself.

Josephine slid her coat from her shoulders, allowing her milky skin to be seen and causing a few heads to turn her way, which had only boosted her confidence. Her eyes trailed along the club, drinking in the crowded scene before her. There were expensive leather couches in the middle of the dance-floor with sweaty bodies on top of them swapping spit with one another.  Behind the couches were flexible dancers moving smoothly on top of small platforms completed with metal poles. She decided she wanted to get on top of one of those, and started to walk over to the platform, leaving the older blonde behind to watch her with an amazed smile.

"She's unbelievable.." Charlotte chuckled to herself as she watched Josephine grab onto the pole, pulling herself upwards before proceeding to dance along with the female dancer that was already moving her hips to the beat of the music.

"She's not even drunk yet," AJ caught her by surprise as he walked up behind Charlotte, able to see the tall blonde from a mile away—which was technically the bar— but he managed to see her nonetheless. "wait until she starts swinging on things."

Charlotte turned to laugh at the older man, someone who she was quite comfortable with as she grabbed his drink from his hand and took a sip for herself. "I'd like to see that. Has Becky arrived yet?" she then questioned, which made the man look down at her with a questionable look.

"Yeah she arrived like fifteen minutes ago." AJ confirmed and then gestured with his head towards the bar. "Last I saw, she was sulking at the bar about you guys dragging her here."

Charlotte chuckled as the amount of alcohol from AJ's drink had made her warm and bubbly, leaning in towards AJ to whisper into his ear. "Word on the street is that Josephine and Becky slept together." Charlotte didn't even realize what she had said at first but when AJ turned with a surprised look on his face, Charlotte let out a shocked gasp and covered her mouth. "Oops."

"Wait are you serious?" He questioned her, seemingly more interested with the conversation he was having with a drunk Charlotte.

She nodded her head while humming a response. "Yeah, that's why Becky's panties are in a twist."

AJ's eyes searched around the club for the red-head that popped into their conversation and when he did see the mop of red hair in the sea of bodies, he saw her sitting down with a drink in her hand, eyeing the blonde from her stage.

It was only until Becky had noticed that the blonde had gotten off the stage and started walking in her direction, that she had been caught red handed. Josephine swayed over after grabbing her coat from the bottom of the stage, throwing it over her shoulder as she swung around the pole, smirking at a red-head who had been staring in her direction for awhile now.

"Well aren't you a sight for sore eyes." Josephine pouted as she put her hand on her hip, stopping in front of the red-head who looked back up from her drink. "God, you're so gorgeous that it physically hurts to look at you."

"Then look away," Becky scrunched up her nose in annoyance but her eyes searched around her for anyone that she might have known or maybe even heard, before Josephine sat down onto Becky's lap.

"Josephine, what are you doing?" Becky sneered and tried to push the blonde to the side and onto the couch instead of her lap, but the blonde managed to hook her arm around her neck.

"You're the most intoxicating pain I've ever felt, you know that?" Josephine leaned towards the ginger, her eyes going down to Becky's nude colored lips which caused the blonde to bite down onto her own bottom lip. Becky looked up at her angelic face but she had devil like qualities about her, like the seven sins all put into one.

"And you're completely drunk." Becky wanted to get lost in her eyes but they were in a mass of people, people she knew. But what was the odds of someone seeing them?

Josephine looked into the crowd of people while she leaned closer towards Becky's ear, "Have you taken my words into consideration, or am I gonna have to try harder?" Josephine purred in her ear and caught her earlobe with her teeth which made the ginger physically shiver, almost letting a moan escape from her mouth.

Becky didn't know whether or not she should feel completely aroused at the actions of Josephine, or she should feel even more angry at the mere thought that Josephine thought that sitting on her lap in a very public setting was a good idea.

"Seriously Josephine." Becky pushed the girl off of her lap, her leather jacket was sticking to her rather hot skin. "I don't have time for this shit."

Josephine looked back at the ginger with a pout, but rolled her eyes when she didn't get anything else out of her. "Why do you keep pushing me away, when I know that you want me too?"

Becky picked her drink up off the table that was beside her, sipping the drink that numbed her throat. "If you needed a reminder, Josephine." She gritted her teeth when the strong liquid coated her throat on the way down. "I like men and you're in my way of getting laid."

Josephine sucked in her cheeks as she followed Becky with her eyes when she sat the glass tumbler on the table and then walked over to the bar, towards a man that she assumed Becky had her eyes on before she sat down on her lap.

Josephine rolled her eyes out of jealously before she scanned the crowd for one specific person that she knew was going to be here tonight. When her eyes landed on the brunette sitting in a booth with Liv Morgan, and some other superstars, she got up from the couch and walked over.

Sonya caught her coming over towards them, and she frowned slightly. She had been trying to dodge the blonde but now she was caught with no where to go. Sonya decided that the time to tell her the truth was now.

"Hey stranger." Josephine swayed through the crowd, obvious signs that she was completely wasted was clear in her glazed over eyes.

"Josephine, hey." Sonya grabbed the girl's waist when she almost tumbled over her own two feet, "you're completely fucked." she noticed when Josephine chuckled and nodded to agree with her.

"Is it that obvious?" she giggled and hiccupped.

Sonya frowned at her while she tried to hold up the blonde from completely falling over. She wanted to talk about them, to stop things that were going on between them but now all Sonya could worry about was getting her home safe and sound. "Hey, let's get you home?"

Josephine found herself nodding off on Sonya's shoulder as she brunette told Liv that she was going to take her home. In all honesty, Sonya was not having the best time anyways.

With Sonya's help, Josephine managed to get out of the crowded bar while she guided her out. When the cool night air struck her, she felt more drunk than ever. "Hey son, why were you avoiding me?" she suddenly asked her.

Sonya looked up at her after getting her keys out from her jean pocket, unlocking the passenger side door to help Josephine in. "We can talk about it in the morning, ok?" she told her.

Josephine watched Sonya with glossed over eyes as she clipped her seatbelt in and then walked to the driver's side of the vehicle. Silence took over the vehicle once they were on the road, back to the hotel.

"Do you not like me anymore?" Josephine's quiet voice called out as Sonya drove back to the hotel, her eyes leaving the road to look over at the blonde. "I hear people talk about me all the time. Thinking that I have this rich family and I'm so privileged." she mumbled which made Sonya frown.

"Is that what you think about me?" She questioned while her voice cracked under pressure. She was not in control in her emotions anymore. "Am I really that unlovable?" she sobbed which made Sonya's eyes leave the road again, concern washing over her features.

"Hey, I never thought like that, not about you." Sonya told her truthfully, putting her warm hand on top of Josephine's in a form of reassurance.

"Becky hates me." she confessed which made Sonya look over in interest.

She knew that she should not question about it any further because it would be taking advantage of the fact that Josephine was drunk, but she couldn't help herself. She wanted to know what happened between them, especially after this morning.

"What do you mean Becky hates you?"

"I ruined her engagement and now she wants nothing to do with me. I've been trying to be the good person, but she just pushes me away." Josephine cried which broke Sonya in two, her heart feeling for the girl spilling her heart out. "This whole storyline was taken as one thing but meant something completely different, and people sat back and enjoyed it, watching how I actually suffered because they thought I was just a good actor but it wasn't like that."

Sonya listened to every part of truth that was spilled from Josephine's heart, the words were coming from someone who was not just hurt, but a bit heartbroken because she wanted the one person who continued to hurt her.

"Everyone thought it was about getting the championship and that broke my heart because it wasn't about that."

Sonya stopped in the hotel parking lot, glancing over at the blonde with concern in her brown eyes as she took in the appearance of the blonde with tears spilled onto her cheeks. Her mouth wobbled with every silent sob that spilled out. Sonya lifted the cup holder in the middle of the vehicle, turning it into a normal seat.

"I'm so sorry Josephine." Sonya said softly while reaching for her, letting the blonde fall onto her chest while she cried. Josephine held onto Sonya's black jacket as her shoulders shook, finding comfort in her friend. It felt good to finally tell someone about this whole ordeal since it had been eating her alive.

Sonya lifted the blonde from her body, caressing her cheeks within her hands as she wiped away her tears. "I have Ice cream up stairs?" she informed her which made Josephine shoot back a weak smile and nodded back at her.

Sonya smiled back at her, tucking her wild blonde hair back behind her ears so she could see her face. "C'mon, let's go." She said whole opening the door.
