CHAPTER FIVE - THE MAN ALWAYS GET'S REVENGE

━━━━━ •:•☾☼☽•:• ━━━━━

PRIOR to what had happened on the invasion on RAW, the SmackDown Ladies were forced to pack their suitcases up and catch the short flight towards the arena in the city of St. Louis, Missouri which would be the go home show to the upcoming Survivor Series pay-per-view.

The original plan had been for all the SmackDown Women ride to the airport together to take pictures for their Social Media accounts to show how unified their team was going into Survivor Series, but with Becky now out of the equation, they didn't know what was happening next.

Josephine was totally quiet on her morning run along with Paige, which made the British woman question what was going on with Jo. Josephine had told her that nothing was going on and then blew her off with the 'I'm just tired,' bullshit which Paige knew wasn't the truth. Josephine had always been the type of person who was so chirpy in the morning, you would want to stick a sock in her mouth just to shut her up.

Not even a sleepless night could crush the smile off of the blonde's face, but something did last night and Paige promised to herself to get to the bottom of it.

"I'm going to ask you one last time: What's going on?" Paige stopped along the wooden bench to catch her breath for a second. "You have been totally quiet since last night!"

Josephine shrugged her shoulders. She really didn't want to get into an argument with her best friend this morning. "Nothing is wrong, Paige. I'm just tired." She sighed while rubbing the gathering sweat off her forehead.

However Paige wasn't buying it. Not for a second. She knew her best friend better than anyone else did, and whenever Josephine would lie, her eyes would narrow — which they had.

Paige switched her weight onto her other foot while holding onto a cool metal pole. "I'm not buying that shit, Jo," she shook her head. "Something upset you last night. Was it Nia? I could talk to her."

"No It was not Nia." Josephine sighed out, putting her hands on her hips as she stood there.

It was far from her in fact. A whole different hair color and a certain arrogant smirk from another woman came into mind, but Josephine was not just about to spill the beans of what was really wrong with her. She was not about to announce that Becky's words hit her.

Paige's eyebrows rose on her forehead. "So it is a person... I just gotta find out who." Paige's mind started to skim through last night's events, the assault led by Becky Lynch, who left with blood symbolically smeared across her face.

Becky had pushed her down in the ring which was not apart of the script from what Paige had been told, but Josephine had informed her that the two didn't even know each other and had been trying to sell the angle so it couldn't of have been her. Then, there was Stephanie whom had gotten angry with how Josephine had almost jumped Becky, and then chewed her a new one before letting her go.

There was one common denominator in this equation: Becky Lynch.

"It was Becky, wasn't it?" Paige shook her head and gave a little laugh when Josephine's eyes widened in response. The little Irish woman was the problem of why Jo was in such a grouchy mood this morning, but she still didn't have the answer why. "What the hell did that little Irish woman do to you?"

Josephine shook her head in response and tried to shake off the panicked look on her face. "We don't know each other that well to have a problem, Paige. It's nothing, seriously." She tried to put her best poker face  on when the raven haired woman turned to glance at her through her lashes.

Paige had a 'I know you are lying', look on her face when her plump lips turned upwards in a knowing smirk. There was one thing that Josephine couldn't do with Paige was lie.

"Yeah, like I am buying your shit. There's something going on between you two that is more than just— " Paige pulled her hands up to do a mocking gesture towards her. "— 'we barely know each other,' co-workers." her voice got high when she tried to mock Josephine's voice which had made the Austrailian roll her eyes.

"For the last time: There's nothing going on, Paige." Josephine exclaimed, her voice raising out of frustration. She just wished that her friend would just drop the topic and never speak of it again.

What the hell was she suppose to tell her? And to make matters worse, she had been hiding the secret for a while in the first place. That alone would make Paige livid with her and put a wedge in between the trust they had. Josephine already knew that if Paige knew that she had been withholding important gossip about her non-existent 'love life' since their pay-per-view SummerSlam, she would have a cow.

'Oh, Becky and I slept together since SummerSlam and we proceeded seeing each other until I found out the bitch was engaged, lied to me the whole time, and then told me that I was nothing but a distraction from her already failing relationship,' Josephine almost chuckled at the ridiculousness of the story she had just put together in her head.

Yeah, not a chance in hell that she was going to tell her.

"I know that look you have, Jo. I will find out what is going on between you two whether you decide to tell me or not." Paige was getting more determined each time that Josephine denied that there was something more between the Irish woman and herself and when Paige got determined, she always got what she wanted in the end.

Josephine was starting to panic inside her big mind, and tried to stop herself from mirroring that onto her physical being. "I mean, you can try but you're not going to find anything because there's nothing to find."

"I'll be the judge of that. Besides the way you two look at each other tells me that there's something more than just co-workers." Paige's hand slapped Josephine's shoulder as she walked along side of her, a playful smile coming onto her lips before turning back around and jogging forward.

Josephine shook her head out of frustration, putting her head back while her blue eyes looked out into the sky. She wasn't going to get out of this, was she? Wait — did she just say that Becky looks at her without that murderous glare?

Josephine picked up her pace to jog up towards Paige, setting her pace to match the woman beside her before asking, "What do you mean, 'looks at me?'"

Paige lips twisted upwards with satisfaction, she never saw Becky look another way at the woman other than wanting to kill her from afar but Josephine took the bait. "If there was nothing going on between you two, you wouldn't of cared of what I said."

Josephine blinked a couple times while they walked together to the nearest juice shop. "So she doesn't look at me differently other than her murderous look?" she questioned her.

"I haven't noticed but thanks for the information, might make my diggin' easier." Paige turned her head to grin over at her, her smile getting larger when Jo let out a groan of annoyance.

Josephine rolled her eyes and started to pick up her pace towards the building in the distance. Paige looked at her with a grin until Josephine pushed past her and started walking without her.

Holding up her hands in question, Paige yelled. "You walk like you have a stick up your ass!"

Josephine raised her middle finger in the air, not bothering to turn around. "I'm going to get juice."

━━━━━ •:•☾☼☽•:• ━━━━━

BECKY was standing inside of Stephanie's office in the arena with the championship resting on her shoulder. When she arrived at the building, she had been at the hospital trying to get cleared to compete this upcoming Sunday for the pay-per-view but the doctors were not allowing her too.

She even went as far as going to multiple doctors that night and morning after landing, desperately trying to compete this coming Sunday, but nothing. She even tried to down play the injuries even though her head was in a daze but her MRI scans couldn't lie.

She was suppose to go out there and give the fans what they wanted, what she had been building up for weeks on weeks and to know have this taken away from her? She couldn't express how angry she was since her brain could not think of the words for her.

What made her even more angry than she already was, was that she had to be at the arena tonight to name her replacement that would take her place instead of her for Survivor Series. Becky wanted to punch a wall.

"And tonight, you're going to give my spot to Charlie ━ who by the way has done nothing to earn my spot." Becky sneered across the room when Stephanie finished informing her of how tonight was going to play out.

She dipped her head into her black leather jacket, the one she wore to the bar that one night. She smirked slightly when the thought of the look on Josephine's face popped up into her mind would be like when she had noticed her choice of clothing. The same jacket that Josephine had no problem ripp━

"Listen Becky, business is business, you know that. Charlotte is one of the top competitors in the business━"

Becky shook her head back and forth, lifting her body up from the chair to lean towards Stephanie. "No, you listen. Everyone in that damn arena is sick of Charlotte Flair and so am I. I gave you a better alternative, If you were smart, you'd use her."

Stephanie rolled her eyes. The Boss Lady was already fuming over how she had lost the match that the fans were waiting for, and now to have Becky breathing down her neck about it was not what she wanted.

"How about you do your job and I do mine?" Stephanie snapped towards the ginger, which made her head pound slightly. "You need to rest and heal for when you come back━"

"I can fight Steph! If you just listen to me when I told ya I was fine━"

"YOU ARE NOT FINE, REBECCA!" Stephanie raised her voice at her to get her point across and into Becky's thick skull, which proved to work since the red head shut her mouth immediately.  "A broken nose and a concussion is not fine. You are not competing, and Charlotte Flair is your replacement." Stephanie emphasized her words to make her words more clearer for the fiery woman.

Stephanie leaned her elbows on the table, her head falling into her hands. "So help me god, if you go out there tonight and change my decision you can forget about WrestleMania with Nia Jax." Stephanie sighed and leaned back in her chair, pinching the bridge of her nose. "Get out."

When Becky was literally forced to go to the hospital, she had downplayed how bad her injuries had been but when she did see the doctor, her concussion was quite severe. There had been gaps in her memory about what went down last night, and could hardly remember most of it.

But she was feeling fine now, fine enough for her to show up and slap the head off of Ronnie. Sure, she had a swelled up cheek and nose but she could still use her hands.

Stephanie wasn't going to move her decision of The Man not competing tonight, and Becky was trying her luck when she didn't move at first and just stared at her boss with anger building in her eyes, jaw clenching every second before the read head huffed out and got off the chair.

"Whatever, boss." Becky muttered underneath her breath while opening the office door and slamming it shut behind her. Hard enough to have everyone's head wiping around to see what the commotion was about.

Becky grumbled her way down the walkway with her head down, scanning the marble flooring until the area started to smell of hairspray and perfume mixed together in generous amounts. She held her championship close to her side as she looked up, her attention was first drawn to the woman laughing loudly with AJ Styles.

"Look at you!" AJ exclaimed, ruffling her blonde bouncy curls with his hands, which made one of the hair stylists swat his hand away before he could ruin it.

Becky couldn't see the front side of her since she took a chair down a spot from her, but her hair was almost as big as Christina Aguilera's in that one music video. The tips of her extensions were dripped in a bright orange pigment that would glow under black light.

The redhead looked Josephine up and down for a mere of two seconds before pulling herself up off the chair and leaded into her direction. "Well, well, well.... would ya look at what the cat dragged in."

Becky was going to ignore the blonde but the pull that she had over her, she couldn't just be civil with her. Ultimately, she decided that causing a ruckus with her would be much more fun, especially after seeing the clear irritation cross the other woman's features.

Josephine's eyes were pained with an electric green and orange eye shadow, completed with white eyeliner and mascara to make her eyes give her that 'crazy bitch' look she was going for.

Not that she needed any help with achieving that, Becky thought.

A sigh escaped from AJ's lips from behind Becky, which made the red head turn towards him with a more welcoming smile. "Nice to see ya too, AJ."

"Becky." AJ nodded his head towards her awkwardly as the tension in the air rose when Josephine hopped off the chair, now matching the ginger's height.

"I'll text you later tonight, alright?" AJ smiled over towards Jo, pulling her in to kiss her cheek while Josephine's eyes flickered towards Becky.

As soon as AJ left, Josephine decided to answer Becky. "Wow, how lucky am I to be in the presence of The Man, Becky Lynch for what, the third time now?" Josephine smirked over at her, grabbing her jacket off her chair and walking down towards the gorilla position.

The tone of disrespect in Wilson's voice made her temper begin to flare and start following behind her with a mask of amused arrogance present on her face.

"I'm surprised you even showed your face tonight." Becky dryly laughed from beside her, which made the blonde glance over at her with interest.

  "Why do you say that?"

"I just expected that Stephanie had told you that you wouldn't be getting that spot at Survivor Series. Seems like your not going to be this big star after all."

Josephine closed the distance between the two quickly, stopping just inches away from Becky. Her icy glare was dimming the redhead's own fire and almost worried Becky of just how intimidating the woman could be. Josephine could hold her own, and Becky silently gave her credit for it since jabbing at a woman who would jab back was just as exciting as poking an angry bear.

Besides, Josephine was just as good with coming up with comebacks that made it all the more enjoyable for the ginger.

"I'm here to do my job, Lynch. It doesn't matter if I'm scheduled for a match or not. Unlike you I don't whine when things don't go my way." The icy look on her face could absolutely kill, but the redhead only raised up straighter, prepared to throw some hands if she needed too ━ A broken face was not about to stop this firecracker.

  "Listen here bitc━"

Josephine cut her off with a sickening smile while she began to slip into her trench coat like jacket.

"Let's not do this right now, both of us have a show to be on shortly and I really don't want to do more damage to that pretty face." Josephine mocked a cooing sound at Becky before she stuck a pair of Alice in Wonderland custom play cards onto the rim of her top hat.

Becky bit into her cheek as her jaw started to clench as the blonde climbed the stairs when Paige announced her name to the WWE Universe.

Her brown eyes going towards the monitor while Josephine appeared on the stage, flipping the hat onto her head and lightly skimming her fingers over the rim of her hat before pulling the two placed cards from it.

Josephine walked down the ramp while her jacket trailed behind her, looking towards the ring where five women were already in the ring. Paige smiled back at her best friend as she made her way through the ropes while Sonya's song interrupted her own.

It wasn't long until the arena was filled up with cheers for the particular red head that lit up last night's show like a thunder storm as soon as her music stopped and she grabbed a microphone.

Josephine stood beside Sonya, whom had leaned over towards her. "Nice jacket." she smiled over towards the blonde, trying to keep their interaction discreet from the rest of the women standing in the ring and the universe.

Josephine smile matched the Jersey woman. "You too."

"━And take my word, even with a severe concussion and a broken face I could still kick Ronnie's ass." Josephine started focusing on Becky's words and the way the universe cheered for her.

She wanted the people to cheer for her the way they cheered for Becky, and she knew they would when the time came but right now, she was mostly getting booed due to the fact that she had gotten into the face of their beloved Smackdown Women's Champion several times now.

"But now, I gotta pick my replacement for Survivor Series. Someone who I know can get the job done." Becky turned around to look at the rest of the locker room that stood behind her, and Josephine began to feel a bit anxious.

Their eyes connected for just a moment, but a moment for Josephine felt like eternity. The crowd was drowned out when Josephine picked her head up and Becky had only let out a snort, rolled her eyes and moved down the line.

At the last person, Becky turned to look down the line, her eyes catching onto Charlotte's robe. She walked towards her and pulled the microphone to her lips, and then paused. A mental battle was going on in her head for those seconds.

Should she risk her Wrestle Mania moment in the future for some girl and give the crowd what they wanted, or should she give it to her backstabbing friend who didn't deserve the opportunity?

Becky's eyes closed for a second and she let out a harsh breath. Looking into the eyes of an confused Flair before switching her glance towards the blonde that stood beside Sonya Deville.

Josephine felt her throat close up when Becky moved a spot down and stood directly in front of her. "Ya remember when you beat me with an illegal pin?" Becky spoke through the microphone, which made the crowd boo in response.

She smirked at the blonde with distaste in her eyes. "I promised I would get my revenge and The Man always gets revenge." her tongue stuck out to wet her lips and Josephine looked down at her lips for one second before looking back at Becky's bruised face.

Becky was loving this. She was loving every movement Josephine was making, every expression coming onto her face and the crowd around her was eating everything she was saying.

Charlotte's gears in her head started to spin when the realization of what Becky was going to do right now. Going against their boss was something you didn't want to do and what made it worse, is that Stephanie had already had this talk with Becky several times this morning.

She didn't understand what was going through the head of Becky Lynch right now. She knew that she had a concussion but this was beyond her concussion. Was some girl really worth loosing an opportunity for. She hoped Becky knew what she was doing, and when the next words left the red head's mouth, the whole arena stood up from their chairs and cheered.

   "I choose you... bitch."

Becky stared back with the satisfaction of what she said and the response she was getting from the universe around her. What pleased her more was the look of pure shock and a spark of anger igniting from beneath the blue pools of her eyes. When her eyes glanced at Paige, she had a look of, 'you fucked up, Lynch' onto her face.

But she couldn't be happier with her decision. To hell with what the McMahon's want to happen ━ this was her choice, this was her replacement and she was going to choose who she wanted even if it took her opportunity away.

What did she have to lose? Her career was already postponed until she got cleared to compete and she had plenty of time to convince her way into Wrestle Mania. She had one thing on her mind and that was going to be her top priority.

She was going to make Josephine's career a living hell.
