Skye was in the main room, waiting for Chase to be finished with his experiment. She hoped and prayed that the experiment would be successful and that her mate would be okay. She could hear the sounds of tools being used in there and it made her cringe a little bit.

But, after a few hours, the sounds of the  tools stopped and the door opened. Chase walked out and he had a bionic paw replacing where his original paw used to be. "Wow! Baby, that looks so cool!" said Skye. "It's different. And check out what Katie gave me that's similar to my claws." said Chase as a spear popped out of the forearm of the bionic paw.

Skye was amazed by this, her boyfriend had an upgrade and he was no longer in pain. "I hope you enjoy your new paw Chase." said Katie. "Thanks Katie. Let's go Skye." said Chase as he and Skye walked out of the clinic and got in the helicopter.

"You wanna drive?" said Skye. "I don't know anything about flying, I think it's better if you drive." said Chase as Skye hopped in the driver's seat. The helicopter started and they were on their way to search for Max. "So Chase, I never asked you. Why does Max hate you so much and why he wanted to kill everyone you loved?" said Skye.

"Do you remember Cutter?" said Chase. Skye shivered at that name, that man was an awful human being. "I do." said Skye. "Well, when he sent me off the cliff, I found an island that had these people who capture mutants and take their abilities." said Chase. "I'm glad you got out of there." said Skye. "Yeah, but it wasn't simple. I was captured, I almost lost my abilities. But when I escaped, I killed Max's owner, who was the leader if that group." said Chase.

"Well, I'm sure you did the right thing. Capturing mutants and stealing their abilities? That's horrible!"said Skye. "Yeah. And now Max stole Ryder and the other's lives from us." said Chase as a tear fell down his face. "Hey, how about I play some music while we search for Max." said Skye. "That'd be nice." said Chase.

Skye turned on her radio and so far, every song they played wasn't good. She kept scrolling and eventually, found a good song.
