'Darn it' Chase thought as the man looked at him.

"Shall we go faster, my puppy dog?" He smirked. Chase was scared to talk to the man but he wanted to get away from his 'friends'.

"Ummm y-yes please" Chase stuttered. The man was rowing faster and faster. Almost as fast as a motor. The scent wore off soon after they had almost made it to the mainland.

"Don't worry my puppy dog we are almost there." The man said. Chase looked back. 'Why did I leave them? They are my only family. And I loved them' Chase thought. 'Hmmm loved them not love' Chase was thinking so hard if he should go back. 'No they don't need me and I don't need them'

"Thinking hard, ain't ya puppy?" The man said almost scaring Chase to death.

"Yes sir I am thinking hard about..." Chase trailed off as he looked at the floor boards of the odd ship. It was quiet

"Are you hungry?" The man blurted out of no where.

"Y-yeah kinda, but I am fine sir I don't need anything but thank you for asking" Chase politely said with a tiny fake smile.

"Don't call me sir." He said stubbornly.

"What shall I call you, Mr.? Chase tried to say politely but he was scared that this random stranger could kill him.

"Don't call me Mr. either! You got that puppy dog?" The man snapped at Chase.

"Y-yes sir...I mean Mr.... no no no I mean.........dude?" Chase said curled up into a ball because the man had raised his hand to hit Chase... but he stopped and made a fist with his hand then dropped it to his side. He signed.

"Ok we are here, the main land." The man said kinda ticked off. Chase looked around.

"This looks like California..." Chase said still looking around.

"That's 'cause it is!!!" The man smirked kicking the dog off the boat. Chase whimpered in pain. And before he knew it the boat was gone. Chase had tears in his eyes.

"I have nowhere to go......" Chase sobbed.

"No one will come for me and that's because..." He trailed off.

"No one loves me..." Chase cried.
