chapter two: cruel and unusual punishment

"GET OUT!" ELLIE YELLS, THROWING a book at him while pointing at the still open door. She had listened to him long enough for him to get through his 'one condition'. "You're sick, Charming, if you think I'll actually pretend to be your girlfriend for a good grade."

Chad doesn't budge though, and ducks sideways, letting the book flop harmlessly onto her pillows behind him. "It's not just a good grade, Ellie, it's a guaranteed pass to next year." He knew her grades were bad enough that she would give in. Hopefully by tomorrow afternoon.

Ellie scoffs and he rises to his feet. "Look, just think about it, okay?" He says, giving her an ever so charming smile. "You'll have the pleasure of my company, and an A in goodness." He pretended not to hear her loud "ew" "And, I kind of already told my parents about you, I would prefer not to disappoint them."

Ellie watches him leave, her mind already made up - she really needed that A..she closes ghe door behind him, she figured she'd make him sweat a bit.

Maybe he wasn't so dumb after all, he knew exactly what to say to get her to even think about agreeing to his plan.

God, she couldn't believe she was actually going to do it. Nothing in the world sounded more vomit inducing and to her than being Chad Charming's girlfriend, except for maybe pretending to be his girlfriend.

And what even was the point of it anyway? Besides, the grade of course, she couldn't see a valid reason to do something like this.

With a groan, the girl threw open the door, sticking her head out of it. "I'll do it!" She hollers, causing him to turn around with a grin.

"I knew you would." Chad says smugly, closing her door so they could talk privately. "You had me there for a second." He sits down on her desk chair while she flops onto her bed. She wondered how long he'd been waiting for her, because her comforter smelled like peppermint and pine needles. "But I knew it was an offer you couldn't refuse."

Ellie rolls her eyes, glancing at him. "Give me one good reason, besides the grade, that I should do this." She all but demands. "And what exactly are you trying to achieve with this scheme?"

Chad stares ar her for a short moment, and she could see himself wondering if she can be trusted with the truth.

"Because you know what its like to want something so bad that you dream about it, and to be laughed at when you fail to achieve it." Ellie had never seen the blonde so serious before. "For you, it's your grades..for me, it's Audrey..or it was, anyway."

"So, you want me to make Audrey want you?" She asks, hoping she understood him right.

Chad shakes his head. "No. I want your help so I can do to her what she's done to me. She's made me out to be a cool in front of the entire kingdom." She understood now. "I don't want her anymore, now that I know what she's truly like."

Ellie nods. "But first, ww need her to notice you.." She says, a sudden thought popping into her head. "Why do your parents have to be involved?"

"Because I've never been serious enough witj a girl to bring her to my parents," He starts, looking at her truthfully. "And I know that if they love you like they love her, it will get under her skin like an itch sh can't scratch until she finally makes a cool of herself in front of everyone.. and after all of that...I guess we're done.."

Ellis couldn't see this actually working, but she wouldn't tell him that, and after hearing it, she honestly felt bad for him. So, she was going to do it, not to help him, but to get back at Audrey for being more villainous with people's feelings than the villains on the isle.

"So," She says. "do you want a public breakup, or a mutual understanding?" She asks playfully, hoping to lift his souring mood.

"Mm, public, it's more fun that way." He says, catching onto what she was doing.

For hours after that they went over how she would act when she met them, and what she would wear. They talked until night fell, and after Chad left her for the night, she fell back on her bed with a sigh.

"This must be some kind of cruel and unusual punishment for my parents crimes."

so, seeing as it's a Disney plot I see no need for long, intense chapters and subplots so im going to leave these chapters short and sweet mkay??
