I had packed up my stuff last night and now we had just arrived in Azerbaijan.

"Is Leclerc trying to get you to change teams yet?" Lewis asks me as we sit in the car to the hotel.

"No, and he won't guys. He's not like that" I say with a small laugh trying to convince them.

"Sure, not yet" Lewis retorts with a teasing laugh.

"Shut up. Get ready for those interviews. I worked my ass off to get you them!" I exclaim and both drivers laughs at me.

"G, how is Carmen doing?" I ask him and he turns to me with a smile.

"She doing good, she's very busy right now, but she will join the next race after this one" George says and I nod.

"That's good, I can't wait to see her again" I say and George smiles at me.

For the next days leading up to the race, I was so busy I barely had any time to see Charles.

With the big interviews and everything going on, it was hectic. But Charles understood and didn't give me a hard time about it.

We updated each other on everything we did. We had separate rooms, it was still new and the principals didn't know about us.

I open my door with a groan and drop all the files and papers I had in my hands.

"Fuuuuuuck!" I groan and slam the door after me. I throw my bag and drop to the ground and start to gather the files and papers.

"Dani? What are you doing?" Charles asks me amused as he sees me.

"What are you doing? How did you get in?" I ask confused. I did lock the door when I left earlier.

"I have my ways, let me help you" he says and drops to the floor as well and helps me with the papers.

"Thank you" I say in relief as we place the papers on the desk in the hotel room I had.

"Did you do good in practice today?" I ask as I turn to him and place my hands around his neck. He pulls me into a kiss before answering.

"Yes, I got a good time. Fourth best ever on this track" Charles says proudly and I smile and peck his lips once again.

"That's great! I'm sorry I couldn't see you today, I had to be at this photo shoot with the guys and then the interviews" I start ranting and Charles just chuckles at me.

"Don't be sorry, it's your job. I'm doing mine as well" Charles says and pull me closer.

He shuts me up by crashing his lips on mine and I feel myself relaxing instantly.

"Babyyyy! Are you ready! Cause we're—" I hear Lena's voice shout and my door bursts open and she pauses as she sees us.

I pull away and turn to her. "Nice, guys. But you're gonna have to wait because we have girls night tonight, did you forget?" Lena asks me as she walks in.

I groan and let my head rest on Charles' chest. Charles chuckles and run a hand through my hair.

"I'm so tired! I just wanna stay in" I say with a whine and drop to the couch.

"Nuh-uh. I just finished work for today, you're coming with me, I don't care" Lena retorts before throwing herself on the couch as well.

"Charles, this is not for you. You can go hang out with Pierre or something" Lena says and usher him out of the room.

I wave goodbye at him and he rolls his eyes at my lack of attempt to stop her.

"Lena, I'm so tired. I can't get drunk, not with how tired I am. It's gonna be a disaster" I tell her and she just smirks at me.

"That's why we need to go, get dressed. The rest of the girls are waiting" Lena sings and push me into my bedroom.

She goes through my clothes and I sit on the bed.

"I haven't had sex in three days, Lena. You just ruined my chance of getting laid tonight" I tell her with a grumble.

Lena snorts before throwing a blue satin dress at me and I groan.

"Fuck, you really mean it?" I ask and she nods furiously. I sigh and get dressed and she retouches my makeup and I curl the ends of my hair once again before putting in a pair of black heels and we leave the room.

As we get to the lobby I see Kelley, Isa, Luisa, Lily and Heidi. "Hey ladies" I call out and they hurriedly hug us.

"So, restaurant first? Club after?" I say recalling the plans we made and they nod.

"Great, let's go!" I say and we all pile into the SUV's waiting for us.

"So how are things with Charles?" Isa asks and I chuckle.

"Good, I haven't seen much of him lately because I've been so busy, but he's sweet and makes sure to check up on me" I say and they aw.

"I must say, he's so whipped for you, how did you do it?" Kelley says with a laugh and I chuckle.

"I have no idea" I admit with a laugh.

We pull up to the restaurant and get in, we order and eat the foods we get and after two hours we make our way to the nearest club.

We get a VIP table and start drinking and dancing. I was taking it lightly because of how tired I was.

I didn't want to be shitfaced.

"Oh no" Kelley and Luisa suddenly says as they look behind me and Lena.

We both look at each other confused before turning around. I see their eyes locked on a brunette girl, long hair, stunning dress.

"Who's that?" I ask confused. "That's Charlotte" Kelley says with an odd tone.

"Who?" I ask confused. "He didn't tell you? The bad relationship I told you about that changed Charles, that's her" Luisa says from the side.

My heart sunk. "What? How is she here?" I ask confused. Next thing I know someone points at us and that Charlotte woman walks towards us.

"Oh hi, ladies!" Charlotte says and hug Kelley, Luisa and Isa. She then turns to me and Lena.

"It's been a while, Lena" Charlotte says with an off tone. I raise an eyebrow as I look back and forth.

"Oh, Daniella right? Charles says hi" Charlotte retorts. My blood freezes and I stare at her, I manage to remain an unbothered face.

"Okay?" I say carelessly. But the panic in me was rising, the overthinking was coming.

"Charlotte, what are you doing?" Luisa asks confused by her behavior.

"I just wanted to let her know, Charles came to see me as soon as he found out she was out for the night" Charlotte says faking her nice smile.

Lena glances back and forth and I remain calm.

"It's good to see that he cares for his friends, I'm glad" I say and fake a calm smile.

"What?" Charlotte asks confused. She expected an outburst. Lena knew it was closer than any of them knew.

"You heard me, I'm glad he has such good friends like you, Charlotte" I say with a smile.

Kelley and Luisa looks at each other sensing something was about to go down.

My calm manor and soft speaking drove Charlotte insane. It wasn't the reaction she wanted.

"You know we used to be together right? We were together for two years?" Charlotte says. Her attempt to get desperate for acknowledgment was pathetic.

"Oh, I didn't know. But I'm sure you two can handle your business on your own" I say kindly with another smile.

"Bitch, are you dumb? He came running to me when you left" Charlotte blurts out and I smirk at her.

"As I said, it's good that he has friends to count on" I repeat my words and Charlotte grew red in anger.

I made her look like an idiot.

"Now, let's get back to partying, right?" I say and look around at the girls. They look at me with dropped jaws and surprise.

"Hell yeah!" Lena says and pulls me into the crowd.

"How you always manage to do that trick, I have no idea" Lena says and I smile at her.

I pull my phone out.

Who is Charlotte?

I press send and almost immediately Charles sees the text and starts typing.

Charles Leclerc:
Call me. Now.

I chuckle dryly and put my phone on silent and put it back in my purse.

"Let's go drink our body weight" I say and Lena looks at me surprised but follows me.

"Hey, Daniella! Charles kissed me, he didn't resist anything. He wants me to come to his room tonight, I have his key" Charlotte shouts after me.

I turn to her and smile.

"I don't understand why you want a reaction from me? What connection do you exactly think I have to him?" I ask her.

"You're his girlfriend, right?" Charlotte says and cross her arms.

"I'm not, darling" I tell her and her face falls.

Charlotte storms up to me and slapped my cheek. "You're such a bitch!" Charlotte screamed at me.

"Oh no" Lena blurts. My head flew to the side, I clench my jaw and look back at her with a smirk.

"Fuck, you're so desperate" I say with a laugh. She raises her hand to slap me again, but I grab her wrist in the air.

"Touch me again and I will end you. I'm warning you" I say through gritted teeth.

"Charlotte leave her alone. Please walk away!" Luisa calls out.

"You're right, I'll go back to Charles. He's waiting for me" Charlotte says and pull her arm back.

Before I can stop myself I bring my fist to her nose. Gasps echoed the club even though the music played.

Charlotte screamed in pain and stumbles back as blood ran down her neck and chest.

"Leave" I tell her and she looks at me before running out.

"Dani, Charles and the guys are coming" Kelley tells me and I nod carelessly. I grab a bottle of vodka and champagne from the bar and Lena follows me as we walk away from the girls.

Nobody told me about Charlotte. I didn't ask because I didn't think I would ever see a girl with so little respect for herself, to stand in front of me and bitch out like that.

Lena and I sit on a table in the corner and we take turns from drinking from the bottles.

Soon enough I saw the guys pile in and go to the girls. "Here comes to chivalry" I say with a hiccup and point at them.

Lena chuckles. "You've gotten a bruise" Lena states and points at my cheek.

"I know" I say and stare ahead. "What are you gonna do?" Lena asks me and hook her arm with mine as we sit on top of the table.

"I don't know" I admit. "Do you trust her words?" Lena asks me and I shrug.

"It's probably true, something happened, the question is how much happened" I say and Lena nods.

"They're coming" Lena says and I take another swig of the vodka bottle.

It didn't burn in my throat anymore. I was feeling numb. I didn't know what to feel.
