Ghost (Part 5)
I don't know, stuff happens, they reach the dragon motherlands, the Velondrax pops off Hannah's arm.
Ghost and Storm visit Amrot after Drakusana tells Ghost to go. He helps them have contact with the dead- and Ghost sees Whitefrost for the first time since his death. She begins to cry, and the two talk. It turns out Whitefrost harboured romantic feelings for Ghost, which she feels touched by. Storm and Whitefrost talk a bit, with Storm explaining what she is. In the end, they part- but not before Whitefrost gives Ghost a piece of his scale, which she wedges onto her snout in the real world. Then, they re-enter the dead realm, and Ghost meets her family for the first time. She breaks down in tears.
Chapter 7: The dragons find themselves at the portal- which has mysteriously activated without a source. They go through (alongside the Velondrax), and find themselves unable to return to their world. They are in a world similar to our own, heavily advanced in technology- and with no dragons whatsoever. Death and Envy have an argument relating to Ice (who the latter thought was missing, though he had simply been hanging off of Death's shoulder without him realising). Ghost and Storm try to calm the argument down. Molten approaches Ghost, reliving a bad memory caused by Ella (who had attacked her previously and left a scar on the young dragon), and Ghost tries to comfort her. When Ghost and Drakusana get into an argument in which the former argues that they had made the world a better place than it was before, she leaves completely angry, as she had suffered much before the events of the RP (i.e. loss of family and rejection from her tribe). She leaves to the park, but is comforted by Battery, who advises her on what to do. Storm arrives (with Frost and Chill), and creates a burrow for the two to hide in and talk.
After some comforting, the two hear an ominous sound (they do not know that it is Jade and the Wzelkin being attacked and separated). Storm tells Ghost to stay with the kids, and flies off to see what's going on. Meanwhile, Death is chasing after a car which contains the Wzelkin. He orders Storm and Sakura to chase a truck containing Jade, which they do. Eventually, Storm, Sakura and Pangaea all manage to flip the truck to its side.
Humans clamber out and shoot bullets at the dragons, and a fight breaks out. Storm grabs one and tries to knock the others out with lightning, while Pangaea jumps at them, and Alex and Sakura use their fire.
Stuff happens, but this chapter got cancelled, so here is the actual next chapter:
Chapter 8: Ghost wakes up, in an ice cavern. She becomes nervous, noticing that Storm and the others are missing- but Frost and Chill are by her side. She begins to cry, until a baby ice dragon approaches her and starts to talk. His mother approaches, apologising and revealing he is Whitefrost. Ghost is shocked and starts to cry even more. She explains that she is from the future, and Winter, Whitefrost's mother, sees she is telling the truth after she names a bunch of ice dragons who lived there. The two talk, and the mother suggests they must try everything not to change the future- but Ghost disagrees, saying they could potentially create a timeline that improves on the one she came from. She decides to take the risk and at least attempt to change the past. As she is leaving, she leaves Frost and Chill with the other babies, and flies away after a short interaction with Monarch.
Stuff happens, and Ghost argues against Molten and Smolder that, since things are going to change due to the butterfly effect, they might as well try to make the change a good one. However, when she convinces the fire dragons not to attack the earth dragons, this leads to future Amrot's skeletal fate from being erased from both their reality and their minds. Ghost feels ashamed and leaves the group, feeling as though she failed them. Ironically, Smolder ends up using Ghost's same logic to work towards peace in the past, except this time, no one complains. Classy, amiright?
After Storm kills Young Drakusana, everything changes and a butterfly effect takes over. Ghost is now a completely different dragon with different memories- she is a blind, mutilated grey dragon named Athena. While she wishes for peace, she is willing to use violence to achieve it in the long-term, and has trained herself well in combat- being faster than the original Ghost, and able to use her wings as bladed weapons. Her backstory is slightly different too- Death attacks and kills almost everyone in her family- she is the sole survivor, escaping with a mutilated face, alongside her father. However, her father died weeks later to his wounds. Athena grows up alone, without any companionship, and fully believing that the most brutal of actions can be justified if it means working towards long-term peace. She will kill scum who she believes negotiating with is a waste of time- this means that she has killed alternate Envy via decapitation, and alternate Death through slicing his skull open. This leaves their adopted child, Ice, wishing for revenge.
Athena accidentally kills Jade in a fight against the Wzelkin, officially giving her the highest body count of my characters so far. She drops off Frost and Chill- who do not recognise her as their mother- to an alternate Storm, who is cold and unemotional, with which they are notably not mates.
Athena returns to the fire kingdom, where Ice tries to attack her, though does little damage. Smolder, who is now suggesting going ahead with a peaceful route (which reminds Athena of something she did in her 'past life', wink wink), convinces the fire dragons to try to negotiate with the earth dragons. Athena, not being very social, says she will convince the air dragons. She tries to negotiate with Aurora, albeit with some difficulty, as the queen of air dragons wishes for a genocide against the earth dragons.
