What if she accidentally puts a rove on something when she's upset? She doesn't have the ability, but the idea of it terrifies her. She doesn't like being a medium, but has accepted it.

Backstory: She found out she was a medium later on in life. Needless to say, she completely freaked out. She hadn't realized her neighbor was dead until the mail stopped coming. They were the only ones on a dead end road in the middle of the woods. She moved to the city after that, only to realize it was worse. Then she moved to the Aeterna Citizenry, hoping there weren't as many dead people there.
