Augustus Redmayne
Name: Augustus Redmayne (I realized it's spelled oddly. I thought the y gave it some flare)
Nickname: Gus, but only his mom and called him that, and only when it was just the two or three of them
Gender: Male
Age: 16
Kingdom: Senryu
Rank: Squire
Personality: He's definitely chivalrous, but he's also materialistic. He tends to be optimistic, but he's a major food critic. He always tries to be kind in the way his dad taught him when he was there, which didn't include the lower class. His dad believed in being respected and feared. However, his mom taught him to be kind to anyone because no one would ever know if they could be of service to him in the future, which he agreed with more. So, he is a tad crafty in the art of speaking. Also, he's quick to trust, but also quick to watch his back. If you lose his trust, you're not likely to get it back anytime soon. He's also got a bit of a temper, but he wouldn't dare shout. And he'd never get into an argument with a lady.
Description: Curly copper hair, hazel eyes, freckled skin, a chipped front upper tooth that would make Carson (my character in another roleplay obsessed with dental hygiene) scream. He has shoulders that aren't too broad for a knight, and is well-muscled from years of training to fill his father's position. He has a crooked smile and his hands are large and callused. If he ever took off his shoes, beware the stink.
Strengths: he's strong and he can ride as easily as he can walk. He can perform tricks while he's riding as knights entertained the royalty frequently. He's kind to anyone he doesn't see as a potential enemy. He's quick to help anyone in need.
Flaws (at least three required): he's illiterate, other than signing his and his father's name. He spent so much time training with armor that, without it, he feels off balance. And you know what that means. He's a klutz. He's too quick to trust someone. If they don't seem to pose a threat, he won't think they will. He believes in trusting people until they prove they're untrustworthy. Did I mention his temper?
Fears (at least three required): What are fears? He laughs in the face of fear, or, rather, he's supposed to. He's actually afraid of bears, angry girls, and never getting back home.
*Weapon (limit is two): a sword and shield
Likes: His hat. He would never leave his hat behind, no matter what happened to him. He also loves his horse, Leopold, and hound, Clifford, who he had to leave behind when the young royals had to flee.
Dislikes: High pitched singing voices. A stab is less painful than hearing a lady wail on a high note. Crying. It's for the weak and ladies. Blubbering is especially bad. Whoever started the threats and cursed the royalty is an enemy for sure.
*Backstory (Please nothing super tragic. No family here is abusive to their kids or anything, ok? If they didn't care, they obviously wouldn't be desperate to save their kids.) : His backstory's pretty boring, actually. He grew up learning everything a knight should and chipped his tooth when he fell off his horse, Leopold. It was pretty much the same thing day in and day out, except for anything the upper royalty wanted to do. The happiest thing for him was getting his hat with an ostrich feather on his sixteenth birthday. It was the last gift he got from his dad because a few weeks later, the attacks started.
*Quote: "This rabbit's divine, Meredith, but you may want to add a pinch more spices. Oh, and the beans would be more astonishing with a bit less pepper."
"I assure you, I would never, even upon the threat of death, harm anyone who does not wish to do harm."
