Sometimes it feels real and true; safe and secure. You feel loved and wanted, worthy and part of the colony. And the cheese tastes so good, doesn't it? Warm and comforting. Like home.

Too bad that cheese was a temporary satisfaction.

In the night, when the demons come, they steal the cheese. They set their mouse traps and lay the warm, comforting food just on the spring. Where it waits for you, little rat. Sits and waits for you to snatch the cheese. And it strikes. It will snap your neck in two. It is sudden, and quick.

It's cold. It's dark. It's lonely. It's truly what the world is, little rat.

Keep on, little rat. Guard your heart. Don't EVER let anybody into your heart again.
