Bio:

Valdis Mikaelson is the only child born of Ikaris and Esther, born in an area of the New World that would come to be known as Mystic Falls, Virginia, along with her half-brother and twin Klaus through superfetation. Valdis is the step-daughter of Mikael, niece of Dahlia, the maternal younger half-sister of Freya, Finn and Elijah, the maternal half-sister and twin sister of Klaus, the maternal older half-sister of Kol, Rebekah and Henrik Mikaelson.

Valdis' parents fled from Europe, with her older brother, Finn, and a few others after the supposed death of her older sister, Freya, from the plague while Esther was pregnant with Elijah. Esther lied to Valdis, Mikael and the rest of the Mikaelson family. Freya was actually taken by her aunt. Elijah was the first to be born in the New World, followed by three brothers, Klaus, Kol and Henrik, and two sisters, Valdis and Rebekah.

Esther had had two affairs, one with Ikaris, and one with the werewolf Ansel, at the same time, producing two fetuses with two separate fathers. Because of this, Esther attempted a spell to alter Klaus' genetic make-up and remove the werewolf side from him. 

For over a thousand years, Klaus and Valdis have been trying to break a curse placed on him. Through an idea formed by Valdis, they created the myth of the sun and moon curse in order to find the moonstone and the Petrova Doppelgänger, both of which were needed to break the actual curse. Their goal is to liberate his werewolf side so Klaus can sire his own super species of werewolf-vampire hybrids.

At some point in her life, Valdis met Ikaris, her biological father. He instantly seemed to know who she was to him. He sat her down and explained that he lived with the villagers who came to the New World with her family, after he and Esther became romantically entangled he became aware that she was also seeing someone else, Ansel. But it was too late to back away when Esther told him that she was pregnant and that the child could either be his or Ansel, rather than abandoning them, Ikaris attempted to stick around. A spell revealed that Esther was carrying one child for each lover she had. Twins but half-siblings. He tried to have a relationship with Valdis after she was born but Mikael became suspicious of the strange man hanging around the village watching 'his' daughter. Ikaris decided to leave when Mikael sought to attack him. Fearing the life his daughter would have with her family if Mikael knew the truth he left her to be raised by a man that was not her father, despite how much he wanted to stay with her, thus proving that Ikaris actually loved his daughter. He gave her a few tips on controlling her powers, but she claimed that she didn't need his help, she'd been dealing with her powers for the majority of her life. He apologised for leaving but she shrugged and walked away. Angry.

Valdis was a victim of her stepfather's physical and verbal abuse since childhood. Valdis even admitted to Elijah that Mikael frightened her which made her constantly seek his approval without ever finding it. Esther often tried to calm Mikael when he became angry with Valdis, but she never tried to stop him from humiliating or physically/mentally abusing her. The loss of his first born had hardened Mikael and he proved to be a very strict father, who was feared by all his children.

Once, when Elijah took his younger brother hunting and complimented him on the improvement of his aim (despite the fact that Niklaus had missed his target), Mikael arrived and started beating Niklaus to 'strengthen' him, threatening Elijah with violence if he tried to intervene. He carried guilt for the rest of his life for not stopping their father's beatings against his brother. Once, Mikael beat Niklaus to near death in a rage and only stopped when both Elijah and Valdis tried to stop him. That night, Valdis tried to kill Mikael as he slept to end his abuse of herself and of Niklaus but Elijah stopped her and considered killing his father himself. Ultimately, he didn't.

Valdis would often use her 'magic' to heal Niklaus when his injuries were bad.

They lived among the werewolves for about twenty years and during the full moon, the humans would simply hide in the underground caves while the werewolves turned. During Valdis' early life, Elijah and Niklaus both fell in love with a woman named Tatia who lived in their village. All the villagers wanted to be her suitors including Klaus and Elijah, both of them during their time with her, argued with each other and fought each other because they both wanted her for themselves. Tatia chose Elijah to be her next husband when the time came.

One morning after a full moon, Klaus came out of the woods, holding his dead little brother Henrik in his arms. Valdis came running to join her mother as she grieved Henrik's death.

To ensure that the rest of her family would survive, Esther used a spell to make her children immortal. Mikael gave his children wine laced with Tatia's blood. Then he stabbed Valdis and her siblings through their hearts and made them drink human blood. After becoming a vampire, Valdis, along with her family, made sure that the White Oak Tree, their one true weakness, would be destroyed. However, nature retaliated against them and, for every strength, there was a weakness, none stronger than the desire for what had made them immortal: human blood. They had become the very first vampires.

After killing Esther, the family scattered and Niklaus stayed behind with Valdis and Rebekah to bury Esther. Valdis promised to never turn her back on him, like Esther did to them and so did Rebekah and Elijah. They swore to each other they would stay together always and forever.

- Magic:

Before becoming a vampire, Valdis practised magic as a witch and was, according to Esther, very talented, even described as something of a child prodigy. Other than Valdis, the only other children who tapped into their magic, were Finn and Kol, because of this, Kol and Valdis were close. Valdis' magic was very different to that of Esther, Finn, and Kol, as it was based in cosmic energies and not actual magic.

After being turned into a vampire, Valdis seemingly kept her magic powers, though this was in fact her cosmic powers housed in her cells because of her eternal heritage.

- 1970s:

At some point in the early 1970s, Valdis found herself on Shield's radar, specifically to the attention of Peggy Carter.

- 2000s:

In the 2000s, Valdis creates Eternal Obsidian, a fashion house. She starts to make a name for herself.

Personality:

"In the beginning, our family was human, a thousand years ago, now. Although our mother dabbled in the dark arts, we were actually just a family trying to survive in a time when it was quite difficult to do so. And, for better or worse, we were happy."

Throughout the ages, Valdis has been venerated for her elegant grace and otherworldly beauty. Valdis has a noble reputation and she takes care to cultivate this image by always appearing calm in public. Things are very different just below the surface... for fuelling Valdis' elegant glide is a high-energy paddling that consumes most of her emotional stamina. While it's uncommon for Valdis to exhibit emotional volatility, it is particularly noticeable in Valdis when contrasted with her tranquil exterior.

When life gets overwhelming she readily takes off to find a tranquil, gentle place to meditate and recharge before returning to the real world.

Appearance is important to Valdis who enjoys the finer things in life and she spares no expense in pampering herself. It would be a mistake to simply dismiss her as a fragile beauty though; for she is a well-travelled, worldly woman who has seen the best and worst of the human condition.

Because her personality was gangly and awkward as a child, she has substantial experience in dealing with difficult people and is well-equipped to handle conflicts, as seen with her family members most notably Elijah and Klaus.

Perhaps Valdis's most noticeable trait is her proneness to boredom. She is continuously agitated by the lack of entertainment, describing peace as "hateful". Even if a form of fun is offered to her, she won't partake in it unless she finds it sufficiently attractive (though it is worth noting that she seems to lower her standards as she gets more desperate). In the absence of entertainment that meets her criteria, she will go to extreme lengths to keep herself occupied, this is usually when a more destructive side of Valdis show itself as she is willing to go to extreme lengths to entertain herself.

Valdis has a major manipulative streak and will often take advantage of people to get what she wants, but that doesn't mean she doesn't feel bad to do so especially if it is someone she cares for. Valdis's beauty is equalled by her cleverness, which she has in abundance. Valdis' strength is in her ability to win the minds and loyalties of those around her, whether or not this is done through personality and intelligence or telepathy is unknown, but likely a mix of all of them.

Valdis possesses a cold brutality under her poised and innocent-looking exterior. Contentedly living outside any human moral code, Valdis kills with flair, recklessness and absolutely no conscience.

She takes great pleasure in pushing the boundaries with her eternally patient brothers, Elijah and Klaus. She knows that Klaus will never dagger her, so is more than happy to push him to his upper limits to see how much she can get away with, but she is always willing to help him when he asks, proving that she provokes him for fun, which he seemingly understands, yet finds infinitely annoying. Elijah has never seen Valdis with the same distrust and hatred that he has looked at Klaus as Valdis has made it know, always, that she hates that Klaus daggers them, with even Klaus stating that it is the one flaw in their relationship.

She seems to have a sense of humour, though it is very sarcastic and can be quite dark. Valdis is amused, most notably, by the stupidity of others, especially humans, in comparison to herself.

At times, Valdis can possess a childlike behaviour, throwing quiet tantrums whenever things aren't going her way and also playing practical jokes on people she comes across.

Much like her brothers, Valdis is described as unpredictable, over-protective and stubborn, but also very kind, intelligent, empathetic, compassionate, and friendly. She strongly believes in trust, honesty and loyalty much like Elijah.

She is known for speaking her mind and having a fierce temper, likely because of her werewolf side.

Valdis does believe in love but also believes that, at least for her, it is rare, but she is more than happy to push those around her to embrace love when it is found, most notably with Rebekah, but given the reactions from Klaus, Valdis might also do this as a form of entertainment for herself.

While Valdis is capable of forgiveness, some acts such as betrayal are usually considered unforgivable by her, and even if the betrayer seeks atonement, Valdis has been known to mercilessly kill them.

Valdis possesses the tact and politeness that Klaus lacks. Elijah claims that Klaus is the brawn to Valdis' brains, implying that they work better together than apart. She is extremely loyal to her family, and will go to great lengths to keep them safe.

True to her personality, Valdis primarily appears dressed in a stately, polished manner and maintains an air of refinement and otherworldly grace and beauty.

Valdis brings an air of sophistication to her relationships and considers herself to be a connoisseur of sex -- willing to try anything at least once, provided it's in the realm of good taste. If there is a weakness to her otherwise unflappable personality, it is in condoning her mate's boorish behaviour, which is not always in her best interests. Valdis covets her privacy and is always ready to take flight when provoked. Klaus Mikaelson: Valdis and Klaus are half-siblings as well as twins and share a profound bond. Having spent more than a millennium around one another they can communicate simply with a look. Klaus is very protective of Valdis and she is very protective of him back.

Elijah Mikaelson: Elijah is Valdis' maternal older half-brother. Before the vampirism, Elijah and Valdis were not as close as she was with the others, likely because of her magic bonding her more with Finn and Klaus. But after, Elijah and Valdis became fast allies and forces in reining in volatile Klaus.

Rebekah Mikaelson: Rebekah is Valdis' younger sister. They have a very close relationship with them both being the only sisters. Rebekah looks up to and idolises Valdis and Valdis is extremely protective of Rebekah.

Finn Mikaelson: Despite Finn's attempts to keep his siblings at arm's length after the loss of Freya, he did come to form some sort of relationship with Valdis given her talent and gift at magic (and using her cosmic energies).

Kol Mikaelson: Because of their joint enthusiasm and love of magic, Kol and Valdis were close, often spending hours reading and practising magic together, usually to Klaus' jealousy and annoyance.

- Clothing: Valdis is usually seen wearing dark trousers, often jeans or faux leather, as well as mini-skirts to show off her figure, along with either dark green or black tops. She will almost always wear a black leather jacket over her clothes. Valdis is always seen in black high heels, booties or tall, black boots. Valdis also wears gold, black, and green accessories.

Valdis has the powers and abilities of the Eternals and original vampires, with physically enhanced powers, abilities of mind compulsion and the power to manipulate cosmic energies within herself.

As an Original Hybrid Valdis is the strongest of the original vampires due to her eternal heritage. Her eternal side have given her additional powers and advantages the others do not possess, making her one of the most physically powerful immortal beings in the world.

Valdis's powers improve with the consumption of human blood.

- Powers:

Super Strength: Valdis is much stronger than Immortals, Supernatural Hunters, original vampires, the original hybrid, non-original Vampires, werewolves, evolved werewolves, non-original werewolf-vampire hybrids and humans. She is able to decapitate other species with a single chop and shatter windows and doors with small objects. Valdis's strength is enough that she could kill twelve non-original werewolf-vampire hybrids single-handedly, and was able to fight and kill twenty-four non-original vampires single-handedly.

Super Speed: Valdis's intensified quickness, agility, reflexes, and endurance makes her much faster than immortals, original vampires, the original hybrid, non-original vampires, werewolves, evolved werewolves, non-original werewolf-vampire hybrids, supernatural hunters and humans. She once said, "I'm faster than your fastest vampire". Her reflexes are similarly heightened.

Super Agility: Valdis possesses much more superhuman stamina, flexibility, reflexes, agility and dexterity than any immortals, original vampires, the original hybrid, non-original vampires, werewolves, evolved werewolves, non-original werewolf-vampire hybrids, and humans. She can move, jump very high, flip, climb and run incredibly fast without difficulty or exhaustion.

Super Senses: Valdis has a more enhanced sense of hearing, sight and smell that far exceeds those of any immortals, original vampires, the original hybrid, non-original vampires, werewolves, evolved werewolves, non-original werewolf-vampire hybrids and humans.

Super Durability: Valdis can take far more trauma than any immortals, original vampires, non-original vampires, the original hybrid, werewolves, evolved werewolves, non-original werewolf-vampire hybrids and humans, without much discomfort or injury. However, like with her maternal half-siblings, she has never been dismembered, implying that her durability may be close to invincibility though she can still be hurt. Wood and White Oak Ash Daggers do not weaken her, making her virtually indestructible.

Enhanced Healing Factor: The injuries of Valdis heal faster than those of supernatural hunters, original vampires, the original hybrid, non-original vampires, werewolves, evolved werewolves, non-original werewolf-vampire hybrids and humans. She also seems to heal much more quickly when exposed to vervain. She can heal and regenerate from any and all injuries in a matter of seconds. Vervain-laced liquid has also been shown to weaken her, though she recovers from the effects much more quickly. Human blood has also been known to make the healing process faster.

Immortality: Even without her vampirism, as an eternal, Valdis would possess immortality or at least near immortality. As a hybrid, Valdis is even more immortal than her maternal half-siblings. Excluding the white-oak stake, no physical weapon on earth can kill Valdis. Nothing but immense magical power worth a hundred witches summoned by an exceptionally powerful witch can kill Valdis. Despite the extent of her immortality, Valdis still needs to feed otherwise she will desiccate and become immobile just like any other immortals, original vampires, non-original vampires or non-original hybrids.

- It is unknown where she stands against weaponry and mystical powers from other worlds, realms, or sources.

Day Walking: Due to her eternal heritage, Valdis is immune to the lethal effects that u.v. rays and sunlight have on vampires. Allowing her to walk in daylight without the use of a day ring, which makes blending in as a human much easier for her.

Emotional Control: Due to her vampire heritage, Valdis is able to exert certain control over her own emotions, e.g. She can turn off her humanity.

Enhanced Emotions: Because of her vampiric and eternal traits, Valdis experiences emotions more powerfully than humans, original vampires, the original hybrid, and non-original vampires. This ability allows her to feel emotions at her peak regardless of her age. Valdis has been shown to experience emotions as powerfully today as she did 1,000 years ago.

Procreation: Valdis is able to procreate due to being a hybrid.

Invitation: For some reason, Valdis is immune to the invitation laws usually binding vampires, likely because of her eternal heritage.

Earth-Eternal Physiology: Like all Eternals, Valdis' life force is augmented by cosmic energy.

Cosmic Energy Manipulation/'Magic' Mimicry: Due to her initially not knowing that she is an Eternal, Valdis' cosmic energy manipulation was simply referred to as her 'magic', and it is believed that it is simply a magical power having been trained up by Esther. Because of this, her power is a mimicry power, in that she uses it to mimic the effects of magic, making it practically limitless in terms of power level. Her 'magic' however is incantation-less, because of this many witches believe her to be the most powerful of them.

- This 'magic' appears as golden energy when utilized. Much like Wanda's red energy. This is visually different to the Eternals, likely because of her hybrid status and her different training.

Psionics: Using her cosmic energies, Valdis has psychic abilities, enabling her to scan the superficial thoughts of any mind that is less adept than her own. Valdis can also psionically manipulate atoms and molecules so as to transform an object's shape.

- Telepathy: Valdis has shown that she is capable of telepathy. The first time she used this was to communicate for a short time with Klaus, and she managed to mentally control Kol before Esther stopped her. Valdis appears to have a stronger ability than her siblings and the usual vampire abilities, this is because her vampire telepathy is augmented by the cosmic energy within herself.

- Mind Compulsion: Valdis can compel the minds of most sentient creatures; humans, non-original vampires and non-original hybrids. She cannot compel supernatural hunters that are members of the Five due to them being immune to mental manipulation, she can't even read their minds. It is unknown if Valdis can compel werewolves, evolved werewolves, original hybrids or original vampires.

- Dream Manipulation: Valdis can control dreams and the subconscious of humans, vampires and likely original vampires. She can produce and modify dreams, bestow nightmares or lucid dreaming. Another effect of this ability is the distortion of reality and trapped in the dreams.

- Illusions: Valdis has the power to trick the minds of others into seeing/feeling things that aren't actually happening.

- Telekinesis: Valdis is a highly adept psychokinetic who can mentally control and rearrange matter at a minutia level, being able to construct a ship from its base parts with the power of her thoughts.

- Flight: As a byproduct of telekinesis, Valdis can fly at high speeds, being able to attain velocities up to 760mph.

Cosmic Energy Projection: Valdis is able to project blasts of cosmic energy from her hands or eyes, in the form of light, heat, or concussive force.

- When angered or upset, her eyes have been known to glow with golden energy, this is possibly a manifestation of this power, but with enough control, she can hold it back.

- Image 'holographic' Projection: Valdis is also able to project scenes from her mind, allowing others to visualize her thoughts through holographic-type images. As such, they normally are based on sight and potentially also sound, but do not affect other senses or true physical presence. Combined with the telepathic illusions, Valdis can create very effective and believable reality-altering illusions.

- Teleportation: She can teleport herself and others across vast distances although she finds doing so unpleasant, like her whole body is twisting, like wringing out a wet towel.

- Matter Transmutation: Valdis can transmute nearly any item or being into almost whatever she wishes. She is only the second 'fifth-level adept' of the Eternals, along with Sersi, the highest level in such categories. Valdis can change the makeup of any non-sentient material she touches, and even as a child was very well controlled in this as she had been seen to turn inanimate objects into water for crops. She has even transmuted a skidding and up-turned bus into rose petals to protect a child and adult.

- Healing: Even without using her blood, which Valdis despises to do, she can heal using her cosmic energies.

- Weapon Manifestation: Valdis has the ability to use cosmic energy to form any handheld weapon she can think of.

- Given her vampire side, she has very little necessity to do this. But she can.

Graceful Dancer: Valdis is very good at dancing.

Master knife-wielder/Knife thrower: Valdis is extremely deadly with knives, able to kill a man with a single stab. Valdis is also proficient with knives in long-range combat.

She can sneak in and out of most guarded buildings without being detected, follow her targets for long periods of time unnoticed, and quickly disappear from sight even in broad daylight. She is also a master escape artist, able to free herself from various confinements, such as having been able to escape from being zip-cuffed to a chair.

Gifted Intellect: Valdis's intellect is not as high as Tony Stark or Bruce Banner's but it puts her on par with Steve Rogers and Natasha Romanoff. She possesses the ability to quickly process multiple information streams (e.g., threat assessment) and rapidly responds to changing tactical situations.

Bibliophile: Valdis is an avid reader and has collected books from over the last 1,000 years, she keeps most of these in her apartment.

Indomitable will/High pain tolerance: A driven and determined person, Valdis is known to keep fighting to the end and never back down. Once able to take an arrow piercing through her arm while barely flinching. Despite falling down an elevator shaft, being impaled, and inhaling vervain gas, Valdis remained conscious long enough to get herself and Rebekah to safety by carrying her. Valdis has also shown great mental strength and isn't very often tricked, lied to, or even manipulated.

Penthouse: Valdis owns several properties in various locations, but mainly lives in a penthouse apartment in Manhattan that is situated above a high-end bar that she owns. Layout:

- Living Room: The living room contains a fireplace, an L-shaped couch, a glass coffee table, and two armchairs facing it. A large flat-screen TV sits on the wall above the fireplace hearth, which has a photo of Valdis and Klaus on it along with a bowl of Potpourri. - Valdis's bedroom/Master Bedroom: The master bedroom is located at the far end side of the apartment, it contains a king-size bed, two nightstands, a bookshelf, a wardrobe, a laundry hamper, some chairs, a rug, and a window with a view of New York. The painting over the bed is Nordic Summer Evening by Sven Richard Bergh.

- The master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with a built-in bath, a sink, a toilet, towels and her personal hygiene supplies, such as toothbrushes.

- Spare Room #1: The spare room is kitted out similar to the master bedroom, just with a smaller bed, one-night stand, a wardrobe and a view of New York and decorated in darker shades. Loki will initially use this room when he is hiding from Thor and Shield following the events of Avengers.

- Spare Room #2: Identical to the other spare room, just painted in more neutral colours.

- Bathroom: The bathroom contains a shower with a see-through door, a sink, a toilet, towels and spare hygiene supplies, such as toothbrushes. This bathroom is meant for guests and everyday bathroom usage.

- Kitchen: The kitchen is located at the centre of the apartment, it contains the common kitchen objects, such as a stove, refrigerator, and a sink along with cabinets on the walls and is opened up onto the living room for easy flow.

- Balcony: The balcony is located on the outside of the apartment leading out from the living room area, it contains a fire pit and couches along with a small bar with stools.

- Gym: The Gym is where Valdis works out, the room consists of several workout equipments such as tyres, a power rack, a punching bag, dumbbells, barbells, a prowler, kettlebells, a yoga mat and many other workout equipment.

- Craft/Art Room: A room which Valdis uses for artistic pursuits including sculpturing, painting, fashion designing and creation.

- Wine 'Cellar' Room: A room in which there is an extensive collection of wines and champagnes from around the world.
