Henrietta Barton was born in Iowa to Edith Barton and Bobby Singer in 1988. Through Edith, she has an older half-brother, Clint.

Being a young single mother living on the street with no money to support them, Edith became a petty thief, which she justified to Clint as they were less fortunate.

Before she was even one year old, Henrietta attended a local fair with her mother and brother, where they discussed Robin Hood, and the fact that he used a bow and arrow as his main weapon, much to Clint's intrigue. Edith took the opportunity of being at the fair to steal from people, something Clint assisted with, taking a watch from someone.

That night, as they sat in their car, Clint asked whether they would get caught for stealing, but his mother assured him that she would protect him and Henrietta, and that the money did not matter to that people they stole from. Clint then asked his mother to tell them about the dream house they were going to live in, although he was doubtful whether it would ever come true, so Edith made a promise that they were never going to sleep in the car again. The next morning, Clint was tasked with distracting a gas station clerk along with Henrietta so that their mother could steal some money from the register, but the plan failed when Edith was caught.

The clerk went to stop Edith, so she grabbed his rifle out, but dropped it on the floor, so Clint picked it up. Clint aimed the rifle at the clerk, and was told by his mother to shoot, but he could not do it, and instead shot the window. The police arrived and arrested Edith, and as she was escorted to a car, Clint apologized for missing, but she stated that he never missed.

Following this Henrietta was sent to live with her father, Bobby, and his wife, Karen.

Karen dotted on Henrietta as she had always wanted a child but her biology hadn't allowed for it to happen, whilst Bobby struggled to initially form a connection with his daughter, scared that he would become just like his own father.

At some point in the following years, Karen was possessed by a demon and Bobby was forced to kill her.

Following Karen's death, Bobby threw himself into learning anything and everything he could regarding the supernatural, and by close proximity and a desire to learn, Henrietta did too.

This eventually lead to Bobby getting entangled with a rather gifted and determined witch who kidnapped Henrietta. Though later rescued by Bobby, Henrietta had been cursed with ice-based powers.

At some point, Clint managed to track down Henrietta and the two were reunited after years separated.

Personality:

Henrietta is a courageous and independent person, who faces danger head on. She is caring, confident, and headstrong. Despite her good traits, sometimes Henrietta can be impulsive and prone to make difficult decisions crossing the line between right and wrong (some might even classify her as morally grey). She has a great sense of justice though.

Above all, Henrietta is a strong woman, she fights for what she believes in and has a difficult time giving up. She has been referenced as being a "bad-ass" by many people.

Henrietta can easily come off as being distant, rude, brutal, snarky and sarcastic. If aggravated or extremely annoyed by someone in her disfavor, Henrietta can become an intimidating figure. Beneath her hard-bitten demeanor, however, lies a more vulnerable side, plagued by self-loathing and deep-seated insecurity. Though she openly refuses to identify herself as the sort, Henrietta does show signs of heroism as she is deeply sympathetic towards the victims of crimes.

Henrietta is a highly independent woman and shows no interest in being in a serious relationship, likely due to the fear that that individual will be taken away from her.

Ultimately, she refuses to allow herself or her friends be disrespected by anyone. To the few people she cares about, she defends them fiercely, but also keeps her distance from them so as to not have them become collateral damage.

Cryogenic physiology: After being cursed by a witch, Henrietta gained cryogenic powers. She is still learning and adapting to her new abilities and it is likely that she can grow new powers and evolve them further.

- Accelerated healing factor: While accessing her powers, Henrietta's metabolic rate is augmented to offset cold tissue destruction, allowing her endure more grievous injuries and likewise heal much faster than even a super-soldier, though foreign matter must first be taken out to not impede the healing.

- Superhuman durability: Henrietta has shown remarkable durability, able to withstand multiple punches and cuts, and still keep fighting her without losing consciousness, and was able to quickly get up after being thrown against a wall.

- Energy absorption/Cryokinesis: Henrietta's powers work by absorbing all existing heat around her, thereby reducing the temperature and to freeze targets well-below negative 370 degrees. Furthermore, her powers can reach such low levels that they can completely negate enhanced healing power and alternatively neutralize accelerated decomposing.

- Cryo-constructs: Henrietta can create various ice structures with ease, such as large bulletproof shields that can withstand point-blank automatic rifle rounds as well as launch upon manifestation sharp projectiles in rapid succession.

- Freezing kiss: Henrietta is able to near-instantly freeze people through a kiss, allowing her powers to enter her victims' bodies and freeze them from the inside. This can happen accidentally when she kisses another, though she does feel it just before it happens through a chilly tingle in her lips, so she can avoid actually hurting her partner.

- Cryokinetic constructs: Henrietta can create various structures and weapons made out of ice, of which she can utilize during a fight.

- Ice spike projection: Henrietta is able to create spikes out of ice in order to use in combat as projectiles.

- Freezing breath: Henrietta is able to create a chilling fog with her breath.

- Cold immunity: An added benefit to her powers, Henrietta also exhibits high resistance to frigid temperatures. She is shown to be able to hold the ice constructs she manifests with little trouble.

- Cryo-Phasing: Henrietta has the ability to phase through objects and freeze them as she does. This is uncontrollable and can occur at any time, such as leaning against a wall, sitting in a chair and even once whilst driving. Her body accomplishes this by passing her atoms through the spaces between the atoms of the object of which she is moving through. In this way, she and the object can temporarily merge without interacting, and each is unharmed during the process except that the item she is moving through freezes as she passes through it, making her, all intents and purposes, intangible. Hence, when attacked, in theory, she could shift into a "phasing" state to allow oncoming danger to pass through her harmlessly. She passes through objects at the same rate of speed at which she is moving. She is also able to allow all targets she made physical contact with beforehand, living or otherwise, intangible, allowing the targets to safely phase along with her, this happened during a bar fight when she and her opponent tumbled through a wall.

- Gravity Phasing: Henrietta is able to phase against gravity. Though like her general phasing, this is currently unpredictable.

- Cryoportation: Henrietta can use her cryo-abilities to teleport, this occurs in a burst of snow. Much like her phasing, this is not a controlled ability and can occur randomly. She claims to feel a cold tingling down her spine when it is about to happen, so she at least receives some warning.

Master Fighter: Henrietta is an extremely skilled and formidable hand-to-hand combatant, having trained from her teenage years by both Bobby Singer and later by Clint Barton following their reintroduction. She has been seen using her fighting skills to defeat a grown man by swinging his head into the corner of a desk. She is extremely skilled in the field of martial arts, having mastered arts such as sambo, hapkido, Lucha libre-style wrestling, Krav Maga, multiple styles of kung fu, wing chun, Taekwondo, and kali with batons. She was once able to easily overpower Dean by targeting specific points on his body before taking him down. She has subdued several human assailants with ease on multiple occasions and bested physically more powerful creatures, often unarmed or equipped with only a blade or her cyrogenic abilities. Henrietta has also proved capable of overpowering other accomplished hunters.

Master Marksman: Bobby Singer claims that Henrietta is the greatest marksman he's ever met, Henrietta is an outstanding all-around marksman, tremendously skilled in wielding both conventional firearms and archery bows with unerring accuracy due to her keen eyesight and impeccable hand-eye coordination. Henrietta is capable of firing multiple arrows in a few seconds, strike enemies' weak points with extreme accuracy and directly hit small targets in the greatest of distances. Henrietta is a left-handed bowman, meaning she holds the bow with her right hand and draws the string with her left. Henrietta is also able at throwing any projectile with the same unerring accuracy, as seen with Henrietta scoring a bullseye with three darts simultaneously thrown without effort.

Sword Mastery: Henrietta has demonstrated considerable skill with a sword.

Master Archer: Her signature skill, Henrietta's mastery in archery during her hunting career became known for never missing. She can precisely shoot targets from great distances with such tight grouping, nail several bouncing tennis balls into a wall without missing in quick succession, shoot objects off of individuals without harming them, and retain her accuracy while in rapid movement, even while driving vehicles or on the back of a bike. Henrietta could also anticipate an enemy projectile to block an arrow and fire several arrows simultaneously.

- Clint claims that it runs in the family, though Henrietta actually picked up a bow in her childhood long before she and Clint re-met again.

Master knife wielder/Knife-thrower: Henrietta is an expert at using knives in combat. Henrietta is also an expert at knife throwing as she was able to kill someone with a gun before they could fire at her. She has also demonstrated the ability to throw several knives in quick succession. She cacn also use her ice projectiles with effective accuracy.

Master Hunter: Henrietta is a highly skilled hunter, using a multitude of methods to achieve her goals. She often impersonates other people's voices on the phone to advance with her cases, and is able to easily connect evidence that other people may overlook. She is not afraid of using methods that could be considered illegal, such as stealing things, or breaking into private places, often using her powers to break doors and padlocks, in order to obtain clues and advance in her hunts.
