Dorothy (Fallout 4)
Story Notes:
- Dorothy is the Sole Survivor, but this will have a spin on the Fallout 4 Vault Dweller's story.
- Hydra became Vault-Tech became the Institute, obviously it's more complex than that, but basically.
- Super Mutants and the FEV that created them comes from Bruce Banner's DNA
- So timeline wise, everything in the MCU happened right up to Infinity War (Bucky wasn't blipped), Thanos won....and then Endgame doesn't happen. Instead, the world reverts to a 1950s aesthetic, technology becomes stunted. The world just never really recovers. (The Avengers end up in cryo at some point after 2023 and long before 2077; otherwise Tony, Clint, and Natasha will come out as like 80 year olds lol) With Tony gone too, it adds to the world regressing in terms of tech too.
- I am open to powers through experimentation as well, if that is something you guys want for Dorothy.

- pairing: Arthur Maxson or Preston, open up to ideas.
- Matty is trained to use a bow and arrow and that is his preferred weapon
- Matty was also cry-frozen, but was woken up by Indra. Now lives in Goodneighbour with his mother and is working for Hancock. Both believe that Dorothy is dead.

Nate (Maternal Ancestor (Great-Great-Great-Great Grandfather); deceased))
Nora (Maternal Ancestor (Great-Great-Great-Great Grandmother); deceased))
Shaun (Maternal Ancestor (Great-Great-Great Grandfather); deceased))
Note: Nate, Nora, and Shaun's story remains the same as it is in the game, up until they enter the vault. Instead of them being placed into Cryo, it is an actual vault that they go into.
Vault 111's experiment was Genetic Experimentation using a selection of carefully chosen genetic samples (including the majority of the Avengers) and the desire to breed radiation-resistant or immune powerfully skilled soldiers that will help repopulate and protect the surface.
Marriages were arranged to test and strengthen bloodlines.
100 years after the war, when Raiders infiltrated Vault 111, the occupants were tranquillised through mist that was spread through the apartments and a small collective of the occupants were rushed to the vault's cryo-facility. The residents were then split into two chambers.
In 2227, the vault was breached from the outside by Kellog and a small team where Dorothy and Dash's cryo-pods were defrosted only for Kellog to take their one-year-old son, Harry, and kill Dash. Dorothy was refrozen after witnessing the death of her husband, and the kidnapping of her son.
109 years later, Chamber One's power went out, killing many of the pod occupants. Indra managed to wake up and bust out of her pod and managed to free her son Matt. Neither of them could find Dorothy among the other pods so they feared that she was dead (neither of them knew there was a second chamber)
A year later, Dorothy's pod is only one of two surviving pods. And it is opened.
Personality:
Dorothy is a strong, intuitive, good-hearted, fun-loving, and passionate young woman.
Dorothy has a deep sense of loyalty and duty to her brother, and loves Matthew unconditionally. To those closest to her, she is generous and kind and can be bold and outspoken, not afraid to say what she really thinks of a person.
Dorothy can be witty and sassy but also innocent, caring and thoughtful. She is protective of her friends and family and shows her fierce side when defending them.
Dorothy puts on a facade of strength and courage, she is, deep down, very emotionally vulnerable and she is in need of love, comfort and support.
Dorothy had never needed to kill to survive prior to the events of Fallout 4 as she has spent her entire life inside of a Vault. However after her first human kill, she will be significantly emotionally shaken, she even attempts to avoid killing any more people, trying simply to threaten them with her gun, to no avail. Understanding that it is a necessity to survive, she resigns herself to killing those who would kill her given the chance.
Dorothy displays perseverance, and while she shows fear at certain points, even being on the verge of tears, she keeps to the mantra "Just take a deep breath and think of Harry". She is willing to do everything she can to help someone in need, even if it is ill advised to do so.
At first, Dorothy is timid and unsure about herself which she often hides behind an aloof exterior. After spending time with Bucky and the other survivors, Dorothy will become more assertive when presented with challenges. She will begin to display a cold, calculated, and deadly demeanour during times of danger, even insulting her foes at times before dispatching them. Dorothy will seemingly develop a liking towards violence, shown when she smiles, whilst beating two Raiders in self-defence, and how she has a meeting with her mother, she imagines, herself violently beating her, and throwing her out a window for abandoning her in the vault.
Despite her more violent tendencies, she develops after her traumatic and survival experiences, Dorothy will still be capable of great affection and empathy and is very protective of her friends, going as far as threatening to break a Gunner's legs for hurting Piper. This care is especially shown with Bucky, Steve, Preston, Nick, Matt, Piper, and the other survivors.
After she witnesses Matt being stabbed by a Gunner, Dorothy will be horrified and enraged, asking Piper to look after him, before she kills the remaining Gunners in the area almost singlehandedly.
Dorothy has been shown to be quite good with children, being quick to offer them help, often being more willing to listen to them than other adults, and being polite and soft-spoken towards them. Ironically, in her youth, Dorothy didn't get along well with people her own age and even admitted to preferring the company of adults as a child.
Pairing: I am open to any of the original Avengers (plus Bucky) (But minus Tony and Bruce for obvious reasons; and I am going to rule out Clint as well because it might be weird if she dates her brother's genetic father) being love interests, but I am leaning towards Steve or Bucky just because I love them more and love the idea of them being a main focus in this world a lot more.
- Thor is not part of any vault, he just went back to Asgard and refused to come back after the bombs dropped.
Avengers Locations:
Vault 111 (Bucky (cryo))
Vault 114 (Steve (cryo))
- For Vault 111, I would say whoever is her love interest is the one that is there in Cryo so they sort of go through it together.
Old North Church (W/The Railroad) (Tony (awake)) (The Switchboard (Formerly))
West Everett Estates (Leading a group of Super Mutants) (Hulk/Bruce (awake))(Vault 113 (Formerly))
Starlight Drive-In (Clint (awake)) (Vault 81 (Formerly))
The Castle (Natasha (awake)) (Vault 95 (Formerly))
- I am open to maybe a couple of them being in California, either vault 4 or vault 31 or something to tie in the show and add a reason for Dorothy to travel there.
Avenger Pairings:
- I am open to pairing Avengers up with Fallout characters, just let me know who you see them with.
Tony Stark
- No Pepper and Morgan
Clint Barton
- No Laura and kids
Bruce Banner
Natasha Romanoff
Note: If I can get all fractions matched up (except for the Institute) then a unity could be formed, I think it would make the Commonwealth more united and civilised if they are all working together. Maybe under one leader, kind of like the Inquisition in Dragon Age; one organisation lead by one leader but with a council advising. It's just an idea. Rather than having to pick sides, I think it would work better for them to all agree that the Institute is shit and that they can shut it down.
Just what I have so far, alliance wise:
Railroad – Tony
Minutemen – Bucky
Brotherhood of Steel – (I don't have one for this, if Matty is paired with Maxson then I think he would work well here, but if he is paired with Preston, then perhaps Minutemen would be better for him and Bucky can go with the BoS)
Super Mutants – Hulk/Bruce
- General Positions:
Spymaster – Natasha
Commander – Steve
Second-in-command – Bucky
The General/Leader – Dorothy
Trade Ambassador – Clint
Settlement Welfare Ambassador – Preston Garvey
Public Relations – Piper
Investigations Officer – Nick Valentine
I am open to changes, ideas and suggestions.
