Bio:

Celia was born in Greece in the 1360 B.C. She was transformed into a vampire by her father, Aro, in her late teens or early twenties. Feeling a sense of loyalty to her own father, Celia remained at his side for many, many, many years after being turned into a vampire.

Approximately a decade after Celia became a vampire, Aro changed his younger sister Didyme, in the hope that she would develop an ability related to his, as well as his future wife, Sulpicia. However, Didyme was blessed with an ability not as useful to him; the power to make people happy. Aro's colleague Marcus fell in love with her, and she with him. However, Marcus and Didyme eventually became discontent. In order to prevent their leaving the Volturi, Aro killed Didyme: Marcus was too integral to his plans to lose. Aro had Chelsea use her ability to ensure Marcus remained loyal to the Volturi, and Marcus never found out the truth. However, this experience made Aro and Caius realize how vulnerable they could be if their mates met the same fate and so they had them well protected.

By 500 AD, the Volturi had usurped control of the vampire world from the Romanian coven. Along with Marcus and Caius, Aro ruled the Volturi, although he generally acted as the spokesperson. The Volturi, under the three ancients' leadership, set down the laws of the vampire world and punished those who did not follow them, as it posed the threat of exposure to humans. His greatest assets being the discovery of Jane and Alec, two young children gifted with enormous abilities, and waited to change them when they were older (since the law against creating immortal children had already been established). His plan backfired as the villagers deemed them as witches and burned them at the stake. Aro got to the village just in time to save the barely-alive twins and changed them into vampires, before slaughtering the entire village so to keep its inhabitants from spreading the news. Since Jane and Alec joined the coven, the Volturi had been invincible.

Carlisle Cullen came to live with the Volturi for some time and became close friends with Aro. However, Aro was alarmed at Carlisle's preference of "vegetarianism" and believed that this would only weaken him over time. Carlisle eventually left to find other vampires like himself. Aro became heartened when he saw Carlisle did not weaken over time as he had believed originally and, although he did not share them, Aro respected his friend's ways.

Carlisle and Celia also became close during this time, she was fascinated with the way he lived and survived without having to hurt innocent humans. He asked her to leave with him, assuring her that there was a better way for her to live, she refused, citing that she loved her father too much to leave.

Personality

According to Aro, Celia's personality is very similar to that of her mother: gentle, good-natured, irresistibly lovable, and never saying a bad word about anyone, overall a benevolent individual.

Celia is also kind and sympathetic towards humanity and humans, much to Aro's annoyance.

Celia is also seen to be calm, humble, and much kinder than the other members of the Volturi. She does not seek attention or recognition.

She also seems disillusioned to the Volturi way of life, and whilst she doesn't agree with the way they act she does not speak out through loyalty to her father.

Appearance:

According to Aro, as a newborn baby, Celia was beautiful and perfectly proportioned, with eyes that were much too intelligent for a newborn, and she radiated power. As a maturing young woman, she was sweet-looking and lovely in an unpretentious way, having an honest smile, warm brown eyes, and black hair that framed her face in ringlets. She also had an incredibly delicious scent of wood smoke and toasted marshmallows, and usually kept her hair tucked under a linen shawl, wore plain, modest dresses, and never used makeup.

As a vampire, Celia has the traditional pale skin and red eyes but still holds her sweet-looking and lovely appearance.

Powers:

On top of the usual vampire powers she received upon being turned, Celia inherited powers from her mother, Hestia.

Pyrokinesis: As the daughter of Hestia, Celia has divine authority and absolute control over fire. The fire she tends also seemed to glow "more richly red than a normal fire".

Shapeshifting: As the daughter of Hestia, Celia has the power to transform and reshape her own body as she desired; though she doesn't use this gift often.

Food Generation: Celia has the ability to generate or conjure delicious food, manifesting them anywhere she desired.

Shared Vision: Celia has the ability to share family-related visions of an individual's past with others. Marcus often goes to Celia to relive memories of Didyme.

Serenity Inducement: Celia has the ability to induce potent feelings of tranquility in others, enabling her to keep everyone who surrounded her at total ease and calm - an ability that she inherited from her mother, but also seemingly something she shared with Didyme, her paternal aunt.

Relationships

Aro

Aro is Celia's father and because of that she has a great respect for him, even if she feels that he is over protective of her, or overly covets her. Being a rather powerful individual, Aro understands how special his daughter is and would never see her in the hands of his enemies. Aro values her life more than his talented guard members, as he always makes sure that she is closely protected, even in Volterra.

Sulpicia

Sulpicia is Aro's wife. Sulpicia and Celia have a very strained relationship. Sulpicia jealous of how much Aro loves his daughter.

Didyme

Didyme was Aro's younger sister and therefore Celia's aunt. Even before the vampirism, Didyme doted on her niece and Celia was fond of her aunt. And this continued into their vampirism. Celia was deeply effected and hurt when she died.

Marcus

Marcus is Aro's brother-in-law, and Celia's uncle, and a co-leader of the Volturi. Marcus respects Celia and her powers and has never treated her as if she is still a child, much as Aro does.

Caius

Caius is a co-leader of the Volturi, leading the coven alongside Marcus and Aro. Caius considers Celia a child and if it wasn't for her powers he would have no interest in her being within the Volturi, Aro's daughter or not. He doesn't respect her input or her opinions, unlike Aro who does turn to her on matters Caius believes she has no part of.

Carlisle:

During his time with the Volturi, Carlisle became close with Celia, and states that she is by far the kindest and most serene member of the Volturi, and that she only stays with them out of familiar respect and love and not because she agrees with the way they live and behave.

Pairing: Carlisle, Jasper, or Edward
