During the year 1950 a private space station sent several stray cats into space as a test before humans were used in space programs, these cats did not return to earth but the space ship that these cats were placed on was lost in space.

Through inter dimensional travel of both time and space these cats came to crash land upon a livable planet which they now call home, after multiple generations of these used to be earth cats the cats have now started to change and evolve to survive on there planet and adapt on any other planet. This evolutional change started when the cats first traveled, several vials of chemicals on the space ship broke and with that and the combination of space, time and dimensional travel as well as the chemical reaction of the unusual life forms on the foreign planet the cats started to change.

Well, now it sounds like a horrible idea also this "new" species needs a name
