Wattpad is littered with these zodiac books. Why not make use of them?

(Yes people I'm done telling you how to not fuck up your characters)

Zodiacs in themselves are well-developed characters. And yes I'm also guilty of reading zodiac books where I skim through each chapter and only read the ones for my zodiac. 

I'm a Leo by the way, that has the same damn- no, dam- birthday as Percy Jackson.

Anyways, what I'm trying to say is: If you're stuck, try basing your character off a zodiac. Or if you already have a character that just needs fine-tuning use a zodiac.

Here's an example, let's do Sagittarius.

They're super free, funny, and optimistic. They're also reckless at times...

There, you already have a simple outline of your character!

Tag your zodiac bitches and it's on to the next chapter!
