I saved this for last for a reason.

You name your character after you've made them.

Not before, no, we don't work shit like that here.

Your character's name should be named after their personality.

Now there are a few things I do to find names:

1) Google something like "Names that mean ___" And input a personality trait from a character.

2) Name the character after someone real.

3) Just scroll through random names until you find something that sticks.

You can use the same strategies for last names.

But one thing you MUST keep in mind, make your name UNIQUE, make it MEMORABLE.

No one wants a fucking forgotten name, and neither does your character.

Now let's say you're writing some sort of fantasy, and you need a name that's not regular. 

And you're like " Aw shit, all these sites are for baby naming,"

Don't forget you can always get inspiration from a name, and change it up a bit too.
