You know what annoys me? Well a lot of things annoy me but this is one of them.

When a character is "ugly" and basic af but 100000000 people are falling head over heels for them. It makes no sense to me. 

Everyone's unique, so make sure your character is too. I hate to break it to ya but if they're not unique, then there's honestly nothing to love.

Going off of that, there have to be unique strengths and weaknesses to all you characters. AND WEAKNESSES.

If there are no weaknesses then I can guarantee you that your character is a Mary or Gary Sue. And there has to be more that one weakness too.

Also, don't say something stupid like, "oh, well my character is bad at math,"

We need real strengths and weaknesses.
