okay

so here's what I love about a lot of dystopias: a lot of the villains aren't even really villains

a good example would be the coven heads from toh

they genuinely think they're doing the right thing, having the catts stand down but then when their magic starts getting drained they realize "oh fuck"

like when Terra says "Raine, Belos is making paradise for us, right?" or something like that because all this time she genuinely thought she was doing the right thing but now she's on the verge of death probably realizing how she wasted all those years
