No doubt you've probably heard of the incredible atrocities committed by ISIS and other radical jihadist groups. You may not know that many of the victims were Christians. I say that in past tense because most lost their lives; martyred for their faith.

The incredible irony is that I conjecture that most if not all of these Christians were likely praying for their executioner at the moment they were killed. Like Jesus on the cross, like Stephen as he was stoned to death, praying that God would forgive the offense.

As one pastor put it, what other king would leave his throne, as Jesus did to die on the cross? Even for the worst of the worst, which describes all of us in sin.
