As children, X and his slightly younger sister Nikki did not have a normal childhood like most children. Their mother, Ruby Rose, trained her children soon after birth in fierce combat to become soldiers in her evergrowing organization MERU.

Around the ages of 7-8, the siblings attempted to escape their not however Nikki was the only one able to escape while her older brother was then basically imprisoned and forced to become a full fledged soldier, put under even more harsh training.

X's new harsh life remained the same until his teenage years when he finally escaped from MERU and was forced to hide out alone as his mother attempted to hunt them to the present day.
