It was as if Ela was mirroring my thoughts, "This doesn't make any sense!" she huffs, "If they didn't wanted to steal then why all the rus-cus?!" she asks me.

Before I could answer, the door of my cabin opens and came in Nans and Harry, "Because they have a different motive" Harry said.

"Like?" Ela asks looking at us with confusion written on her beautiful face

"A warning" I murmured looking at my best-friends alarmed.

"We have a problem" Nans finally said.

Sometimes I wonder if God really took his time in writing our fate because that is what it looks like. It seems like God added a little too much drama and spice in our life, like how the professor in the Powerpuff Girls did. I can feel him smirking down at us in a mocking way. 

Suddenly someone's phone rang bringing us out of our deep thoughts. I saw Harry walking towards the window, holding her phone onto her ear. She then turns around to face me and gestures towards my phone that was currently sitting on the desk. I couldn't understand why she was being discreet about it, but when I looked over to Nans, who was standing near the door the whole time, gesturing me to do the same.

Ela notices my change of expressions and turns around to look at Nans, when suddenly Nans changed her expressions into a neutral one as if she hasn't said anything. Taking this as my cue, I take my phone unlocking the screen, when I see a text from Harry in our group chat which I share with her and Nans, 

Harry: DO NOT DISCUSS ANY FURTHER. Let's talk over dinner. only 3 of us

To say I was confused would be an understatement but I let it slide off and look up at Harry, giving her a curt nod. Nans noticed our exchange and came around, sitting on one of the chairs in front of me. 

Before I could say anything, Ela turns her attention towards Nans and asks, "What problem?", while taking a seat beside her.

I catch the change in Nans' expressions while she turns her attention to Ela and says, "Let's call breaking in and leaving without a trace- a big problem" she laughs hesitantly, "We don't know what was his/her motive or maybe it could be 'they', we never know how many people are involved in it and what precisely do they want..." she pauses for a little moment and then looks at me, "...whatever that is, they'll pay for messing with my security system". 

I simply nodded at her, when I see Harry coming over to us, "Ed says he'll be leaving in 20 minutes for some work and wants me to come home", she huffs.

"What about dinner then?", I asked her while arching my eyebrow.

"My place?" she gives us her best puppy dog face which slightly looks like she's constipated, "We'll order something?"

"Cool", Nans said.

"Let's go then" Harry said enthusiastically

"Erm Ela?" I looked at Ela who looked zoned out, "You're joining us right?" I asked.

"Nah, you guys carry on. I'm supposed to visit dad" she says lowly

"Say Hi from us" I proceed to hug her.

"Let's get going" Harry said while dragging both me and Nans.

We exited the building and proceeded towards Harry's black Mercedes. It took us no longer than 15 minutes to reach her beautiful two storey house, not long from my neighbourhood. She and Ed have been dating for nearly five years and have been pretty much serious about each other. Two months back, Edward proposed her and they have been living together ever since. Though they're planning their wedding next summer which was a shocker because neither of them seemed like they could wait anymore. On the bright side it was a smart decision to wait and set a firmer career opportunity and then get married.

Harry turns off her car engine, when we see Edward walking towards us. We all get out of the car and give him a hug simultaneously.

"My favourite girls in the world" Ed says.

"Eddy" I chirped while hugging him sideways.

Edward had this tall and lean body like an athlete. Currently he is sporting some light wash denims which he had paired up with a white t-shirt and a pale blue blazer. Nothing in him has changed, apart from his  blond hairs that he now colored black after his obsession with 'The Little Mermaid'. His green eyes twinkled when his gaze fell upon Harry. Like always, he ran towards her, swooping her up in his arms and kissing her senselessly. He and his disney obsession can be spotted very easily.

"Come. I can't handle their PDA anymore. Let's go inside", Nans said looking at their lovely PDA with disgust.

I couldn't help but laugh at this and followed her lead into the house. I found myself hit by a strong scent of apple cider and sandalwood on entering the house. It was decorated in minimalist- bohemian style and was very welcoming. We walked over to the living room where I sprawled across one of the couchs, while Nans sat on the floor with her head rested back at the foot of the couch.

We sat there in silence, until we heard the front door close and found Harry standing in front of us, preparing to sit beside Nans on the floor. Comfortable silence engulfed us, while we found each of us staring at the other. We were oblivious to the situation that we are in currently. So many things that were going through our minds, but we were at loss of words when we wanted to say something.

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Nans sitting up straight, "What happened in Berlin?".

"What'd you mean?" I stood up from my laying position and sat up straight, "I told you, we went to finalize a deal"

"Your voice said a different story Lucrecia when you called me" she arches her right eyebrow at me.

"That was nothing" I looked away, "Just had a nightmare that he was led out of the jail"

She knows I'm lying to her, but didn't press me further. She then looks at Harry who silently nods her head and then they both look at me. Before I could ask them anything, Nans ushers me to stay silent and listen to what she has to say. Little did I knew, the next few minutes were enough to bring back some hidden memories of my past which I swore never to acknowledge.

"Do not panic and listen to me very carefully", I couldn't help but only nod at her. "Ryan is planning on doing something big and I think he's the one who broke in into our system"

I let this new found information sink in. I couldn't think of anything but my thoughts revolved around only two names- Ryan and planning. I felt panic building up inside me while it was mixed with anger. All of my emotions were at bay and I found my hands shaking with fear. The thing from which I was most scared about came to haunt me again. I couldn't help but look at Nans, dead in the eyes and scream, "WHAT?! YOU... YOU SAID HE WAS IN JAIL?! HOW... HOW IS IT..."

Both Nans and Harry rushed towards me and sat on my either side, to comfort me. None of which was helping to calm down the building rage that was birthing inside me. I found myself lost in the turmoil of dark memories of my past which were boxed away in the deepest corner of my heart. There was so much chaos around me that left me wanting for my peace. And then suddenly, I find myself being engulfed in darkness.

I found myself at peace but when I opened my eyes, I saw nothing but darkness. I felt panic rising in me, when suddenly there was a faint source of light coming from the very far end. Wanting to erase the darkness that surrounded me, I walked over to the source of light. The more I try to get near to it, the more I found myself being away from it. Letting out a frustrated sigh, I ran towards it only to get blinded by the sight which it had to offer me.

I found myself, standing in the parking lot of my high-school. The weather was a little chilly which indicated that Christmas was just around the corner. I look over and found some familiar faces of my classmates and friends who were happily chatting about their upcoming holiday trips. Suddenly a familiar Red Mustang comes in view and get parked in the slot that is in front of me. I try hard to recall who's car that might be when suddenly the passenger seat door opens, revealing a young version of me- Lucrecia May Celemont.

Lucrecia Celemont, or rather I'd say May Celemont. That was the name I preferred to be called by in those days. I thought Lucrecia was too much of a drag and on the other hand, May sounded very subtle and sweet. I wasn't the typical queen-bee of the high-school who dated a bad boy, though my boyfriend was indeed the bad boy of my school. We were polar opposites, while i was sweet and liked by many, he had this dangerous vibe going around him and was feared by all, even by our principle.

Even though my friends, Harvey and Noemy didn't approve our relationship; Ela was supportive of us ever since we started dating. In Fact, she was the once who introduced us in first place. We weren't the perfect couple in anyone's eyes and we fought a-lot. Mainly because of the over-possessive nature of his. He never liked when any guy tried talking to me and was ready to punch anyone who would dare to breathe in my way. I found this weird but let it pass because I thought it was his way of showing his love to me. Because at the end of the day, It was always him and I... Me and Ryan... forever.

But little did I knew, that forever is just a myth and Ryan was not something I thought he was.

This didn't last any longer, because I found myself being brought back into the reality when splashes of water droplets were felt on my face. Slowly, I opened my eyes, to look up at two worried ones of my friends. Everything suddenly made sense, and I found myself looking at them with fear adminant in my eyes.

This no longer feels like a dream which I was trying to escape.

Oof- Now this is what I call an ideal chapter.

There is so much going on right now with Ryan, Lucrecia and just everything around her in general.

But y'all just have to sit back with a bowl of cheese popcorns and enjoy the turmoil that happens now.
