Four other boys had gotten their acceptance letters.

The placement tests had gone well. Soobin was an water elemental. Yeonjun was a fire elemental. Beomgyu was an earth elemental. Kai was a air elemental. Taehyun was also a water elemental.

Yeonjun came from a family of water elementals. Beomgyu came from a non-magical family. Essentially Beomgyu was a human who manifested magical power. Kai came from a family of fire elementals. Taehyun was the only one of this small group to be be placed in the element his family was known for.

Headmistress Jang held a blank expression. She was always hesitant of new arrivals to Ghastwell Academy. She didn't say much in her speech before new arrivals were permitted to mingle.

The five as mentioned before managed to fill seats at a table. Soobin held out a hand for Taehyun to shake. For they both were water elementals. Taehyun shook his hand. Yeonjun started the general conversation. "이 장소가 뭔가 숨기고 있다고 느끼는 사람 또 있어?" (Anyone else got the feeling this place is hiding something ?) Kai noticed the Prof. Jeong wasn't among the faculty in the grand hall, "I get the feeling he should be careful around here."

Beomgyu sighed. "You won't hurt me, right ? I am from a non-magical family." Taehyun rolled his eyes at the assumption Beomgyu just gave. "널 해치는데 쓰는 마법의 낭비일 것이다." (It would be a waste of magic spent on hurting you.)

They weren't quite friends yet, but they did seem to be comfortable in each other' presences. Little did they know this was the start of something dastardly.
