"I'm still debating on whether or not I should kill him."

"Dr. Eggman has a great mind, if there's something valuable we need to know, he would make an adequate resource."

Mephiles and Ansem stood at the entrance of Dr. Eggman's base. They were planning on what Ansem should tell or do to the Doctor.

"Very well then. He shall be our hostage." Ansem concluded.

"I will stay behind for now." said Mephiles, disappearing into a black smoke just forming under him.

Ansem made his way into the base to confront the Doctor, opening a black hole in before him and travelled through. When he reappeared into reality, he found himself in Dr. Eggman's dark and blue-tinted computer room, and so the Doctor sat, napping at his computer. From behind Ansem, the large sliding doors opened up and rushing into room was Orbot and Cubot.

"DOCTOR, DOCTOR!" they bantered.

Eggman sprung out of his seat and tripped on the chair's wheel, falling chest first. The two robots hovered in his direction to assist him, not realizing Ansem was there- as they were too concerned about what they had to say.

"Ansem is trying to betray-" Orbot began, but him and Cubot stopped in their tracks to just realize Ansem was in the room, right in between them, "Oh..."

Ansem's grin dropped to a frown when he looked down at the defenseless Orbot. Ansem gripped Orbot and Cubot by the necks of their exoskeletons and smashed their heads into each other. The lights on their faces turned off, as they were no longer active. Ansem tossed away the two metal bodies with ease and continued on towards the Doctor.

"What is the meaning of this?! Where is the Scepter? And what about Sonic? Did you even deal with that?" Eggman spat.

"Quiet Doctor, open a containment cell. Mephiles will bring your captive shortly..."

"You didn't have to destroy my robots!" Eggman said, hurriedly clicking buttons on his computer.

A floor panel from across the laboratory opened up and a large cylindrical glass cell began to ascend.

As soon as the glass door glided open, Ansem grabbed Eggman's collar, "You fool."

"What?!"

In one full, one-armed swing, Ansem lifted Dr. Eggman off his chair and threw him into the cell. Eggman crashed stomach-first into the cell and right before he fell back, Ansem clicked a button on the computer and the door shut. Eggman recovered and started howling and pounding on the glass, demanding his release. Ansem clicked a few more buttons and the cell began to descend, as Eggman panicked more, eventually growing silent when the floor panel sealed once more.

"Well, that was easier than I expected." he snickered.

He continued exploring Eggman's computer until a siren went off, red lights flashing in the room. The screen displayed the cameras, but with no use, as the problem was already near. The lab's doors opened behind Ansem and an army of every robot Eggman has created, began their assault on Ansem, bullets and lasers firing at him.

To his convenience, Mephiles arose from the ground in his signature smog, and upon ascension, he formed a barrier around him and Ansem. Then with a push of his hand, the barrier floated towards the door, now serving as a bastion between the gaps of the doors.

"That should buy us time to find a way to make them obey us." said Ansem, returning back to the computer.

The firing then ceased for a moment. The two turned around to see the robots retreating.

"Did you figure it out?" asked Mephiles.

"Not yet. They must've given up...No worries, if time wasn't a problem, we'd be able to eliminate them."

"Why are you in a rush, if you don't mind me asking?"

"I have other places to be...I think I-"

Ansem was cut off by another barrage of gunfire, but this time it sounded like it was from afar. They turn around again, but no robots were there.

"Either you figured it out, and you're making them lay waste to each other, or they're attacking something, or someone else..."

Ansem pulled up the camera feeds again and zoomed in on the camera two rooms away. There was all sorts of havoc taking place in that room; screens were destroyed, metal heaps were scattered everywhere, and smoke and fire decorated the room. But in the midst of it all, there were four figures eliminating them all with ease. One flew around gracefully and landed various styles and forms of kicks, in which what seemed to be her most reliable attack method, especially since she wore high heels. Another used a large mallet and occasionally balled up as an attack or evasion, similar to Sonic The Hedgehog's Spin Dash; the other seemed to have holographic blades projected from her wristbands, and further so, there was one using her power of fire to fight off the hoard. In that respective order was Rouge, Amy, Sally, and Blaze.

"Well, look who it is..." Mephiles muttered.

"You know them?" Ansem curious.

"Unfortunately...well, three of them, I do not recognize the chipmunk...but-" Mephiles stopped and gestured his head to Ansem to look on at the screen.

Sally, Amy, and Rouge all huddled close to Blaze. Blaze threw her arms up and a cyclone of fire spun around them. After growing large enough to almost reach the ceiling, Blaze threw her arms back down with an effort that made her grunt, and in response, the flames' radius expanded throughout the room and burned through the remainder of the robots in the room.

The fight was over just like that. Ceiling sprinklers then switched on to extinguish the inferno burning furiously- reflecting from the emotions of who caused it. As of now, the group made the conclusion that Eggman must have been behind Silver's death and Mephiles' resurrection- in which they were technically right, but they didn't know who was really waiting in his laboratory.

"-She's the real problem." Mephiles finished his statement, eyes narrowed on Blaze.

He didn't have a mouth, but his eyes revealed enough about how irritated he was.

"She has an amazing power." Ansem added.

"Hmph..."

The door from down the hallway slid open with the four running towards the lab.

"Let us welcome our guests." said Ansem.

"So be it." said Mephiles, clearing out the force field.

The blue field dissipated and the four ran in and stopped and a distance from the duo.

"Mephiles! You killed Silver!" Blaze hissed.

"Without regret." Mephiles returned.

"I will make you!"

"Look out!" Rouge cried from behind.

Everyone looked back to see a light blue laser blast coming at them, as the women dove out of the way, barely making it. Mephiles vanished and Ansem teleported out of the way, as the blast almost hit them too, but instead fried the computer Ansem was working on. Whether the aim was meant for the computer or not, all six of them knew there was now a neutral threat.

When Mephiles reappeared, he and the rest looked down the hall to see a blue, shiny figure, with a yellow circular and concave abdomen, which seemed to be just losing a light blue glow, as if it fired something: Metal Sonic.

Following behind him were the pink and blue Metal Shadows and a new robot- or rather, a lesser used one- finally reawakened to replace the other two Metal Shadows and Androids that Shadow The Hedgehog scrapped earlier on. This shining crimson threat was what appeared to be Metal Knuckles.

"You've got to be kidding! How many of these has Eggman created since I've been out of the picture?" Sally flustered.

"Too many." The rest answered.

"You're not the real Sonic...but I am curious to know what you're capable of, doppelganger!" Mephiles taunted Metal Sonic.

Metal's digital irises flashed and narrowed a bit, showing that he took offense to the statement.

The femme fatale grouped together again, back-to-back. Blaze and Sally facing Mephiles and Ansem, and Rouge and Amy facing the Metals.

"Alright ladies, let's fight smart here..." Rouge advised her group.

"Leave the base immediately or die!" Metal Sonic demanded the intruders.

"Hahaha...Well then, let us begin!" Ansem challenged them all.
