"Sonic!" Blaze called down.

Sonic and Tails checked above them and jumping off the nearby restaurant's roof was Blaze, followed by Shadow, Wave, and Jet.

"Hey guys! Jet, what are you doing here?" Sonic asked.

Wave elbowed Jet.

Jet sighed, "Listen, I haven't been completely honest with you...I kinda had a Chaos Emerald when we took you in..."

"Oh...uh, well, I mean, that's alright. At least you're telling me the truth, I guess. You can hand it over now."

Wave elbowed Jet harder now.

"Ow, Wave!"

"He's waiting!" Wave pressured.

"...Well uh...Ha! You'll find it funny, ha!...We just lost it!"

"You what?" Sonic grunted.

"I know! It's funny right?!"

"Not even."

"Oh...Well, it was Wave who let it go!"

"Wwwhat?! Ms. Fitty Kitty over here tackled me!" Wave snapped back.

Everyone scanned over to a silent Blaze.

"Well...yes, I suppose there's no way to avoid that matter." she confessed.

"Hello, Tails?...Cream, are you sure this thing's on?"

"Yes Mr. Knuckles, see? It says 'Connected!'"

The transmission feed was coming from the radio on Tails' plane. Everyone turned their heads to pay attention.

"Hey Knuckles! I hear you loud and clear! What's up?" Tails responded.

"I'm gonna need you to fly over to Cream's house. I got a pretty big package that could help us in this fight!"

"What is it?"

"It's probably not best to say out-loud, just hurry!"

"I'm on my way, Knuckles!"

Knuckles nodded and gave a thumbs up on the screen. While he held this position, thumping was heard. Knuckles was awkwardly tapping the device he was using.

"Cream, how do you turn this thing off?" he said through his toothy smile, still holding his thumb up.

"Just hit 'Disconnect,' Mr. Knuckles!" Cream's voice was heard from far.

"This one?"

The screen went dark, but you could still hear Cream's giggle. "No, that switches to 'Audio Calling!' This is the-" Then the feed ended.

"I told Knuckles I could make a communicator for himself." Tails sighed.

"I think it's best he doesn't have his own, he seems like that person who'll unintentionally butt-dial everyone at almost every hour of the day." Sonic added.

"Hahaha! Well, I better go pick him up then. I'll be back soon, everyone!"

Tails turned on the engine, rolled around and lifted into the cherry-colored sky.

"So, anything else you'd like to spill?" Sonic back to Jet.

"Well uh...About Silver..."

"What about me?"

At that moment, Silver The Hedgehog was descending from above. "Hey everyone!"

"SILVER!" Blaze cried.

"Hi, Blaze."

Blaze shoved past everyone to embrace her arms around Silver.

"You're OK!" she sobbed on his shoulder.

"Yeah, I am. If it wasn't for Jet and his friends, I probably would've wound up dying!"

"What?! I thought you said he was getting medical attention, Jet?!" Sonic bursted.

"Hey, that wasn't a total lie! I said he was getting medical help- I never said where!"

"Mmmghm....Yeah, you did say that. But why didn't you just tell me straight?!"

"Oh come on, am I ever honest?"

"Let me say Jet, I'd beat you right now if I hadn't known any better of your natural deceptiveness." Shadow joined in.

"And I'd help you." Sonic added.

"Hey since when do you two agree with each other? Besides, what matters is that they did good for once, let's at least appreciate that!" Silver saved, letting go of his best friend.

Abruptly, random electricity started jolting the entire group. They all contorted and twitched until they were all grounded. Then, the sky blue Chaos Emerald floated away from Silver, along with Sonic's blue one, into the air. The shock hindered, allowing everyone to recover for the moment. They faced up to reveal that Mephiles was hovering above them. They all stood speechless, as they noticed the familiar jewels orbiting around him. The five Chaos Emeralds opened a space for the sixth and seventh to hover into the orbit. The Seven Chaos Emeralds were all within Mephiles' grasp.

"Seven...he has, all seven..." Sonic croaked.

"How lucky it was that you were taken away for me to stumble upon the third and fourth Chaos Emeralds! One was close by, and the other was brought to me by the Heartless. The one that these roosters just lost was my fifth. Then Sonic and Silver have gifted me with the last two. Do the calculations!"

"Waaaait....Did you just call us, roosters?!" Jet protested.

"You won't get away with this!"

"HA! Watch me."

Mephiles levitated higher to give view to the endless road behind him. The last two Darkside Heartless came together about to two blocks down, looking in the group's direction. Instantaneously, multiple Heartless started to form down the whole avenue, even past the Darksides. Hundreds and hundreds of Heartless populating in a rapid succession.

"Where is your hope now? No numbers will put an end to my limitless army!" And to think...there's only ten-thousand of them." Mephiles derided.

"Well then, let's see about that!" Sonic promptly challenged, being the first to stand. Shadow and Silver followed next, then the rest.

"You do realize, there's only six of you?" Mephiles sniggered.

"Twelve!"

The heroes looked behind them to find seven more for their alliance: Espio, Charmy, Vector, Sally, Rouge, and Storm.

"This is so nonsensical!" Mephiles cackled.

"Recalculating: Thirteen."

"OMEGA!" Shadow and Rouge exclaimed when turning to the extra voice. Team Dark was reunited. He then said:

"I was repaired by a...'temporary ally.'"

"Recalculation Update: Fourteen."

Sonic gawked at the newcomer:

"Metal Sonic?!"

"Incorrect. Doctor Eggman repaired E-123 Omega, and myself as well. The Doctor will arrive shortly." the blue robot responded.

"You defy me?! I will turn you to scraps again! And that goes for the rest of the thirteen!" Mephiles spat.

The sound of marching echoed from the intersection behind them. United together, G.U.N. and the Eggman Empire; man and machine marching together to face the darkness threatening their world. A crimson robot with a green cape that was the height of a house descended behind Metal Sonic and Omega. It was Dr. Eggman piloting this gargantuan mech-suit (which he ironically created to defeat Sonic).

"Make that fifteen." he announced through the suit's sound system. "Sorry Mephiles, I may have taken longer than you to do so, but if there's anyone who's going to be first to achieve world domination, it will be me! Oh, and that armada behind me, is incalculable in addition to our group of fifteen! Just for lack of counting, however!"

"The more, the merrier! I hope you cretins know that once this planet is gone, there will not be any graves to bury your bodies!" Mephiles challenged.

"We won't be needing them!" Sonic accepted.

"Very well then. Prepare to die, you so-called crusaders of this, wasteful world!"

Sally and Tails rushed up to Sonic, pulling him, Silver, and Shadow aside. "Mephiles is probably going to flee, so go after him! I think we can take the creatures." Sally assured.

"Go get 'em Sonic!" Tails encouraged.

Sonic gave them a curt nod, "Be careful you two."

Sally pulled his head closer and locked lips with his.

Blaze went to Silver, "It's all up to you, Silver. Just remember, you are not alone on this."

"Thanks." he said, hugging her.

Rouge and Omega caught up to Shadow. "We got your back, Shadow! Be careful." Rouge putting a hand on his shoulder.

"Make Mephiles regret dividing Team Dark. Make him suffer and regret all that he has done. Make him-"

"OK, I think he gets it big guy!" Rouge halting Omega.

Sonic, Shadow, and Silver split from their closest and united with each other once more.

"So, you three will try to end me again? Come then! Let's see who dies next- and for sure this time!" Mephiles invited.

"I'll tell you this much, none of us are dying tonight!" Silver retaliated.

*Heroes, Anti-Heroes, Neutrals, and Villains have been left with no choice to join forces against this greater threat, in all-out war of Light vs. Darkness...

It's amazing. The original story of "Resurrection" was seventeen chapters! And here we are...not done! Hahaha, but almost...
