As I woke up, I saw a girl looking at me. 

"Ugh... What the hell happened?" I asked as I sat up. 

"My dad found you on the side of the road. Good thing my mom's a doctor, you would've died if she wasn't." the girl said. 

"Oh, um thanks I guess." I said scratching the back of my head. The girl backed up as I turned to get up off the bed. 

"Y-Your eye! What the..?!" she yelled. 

"Oh, yeah... Forgot about that." I said. The girl them screamed as I pulled up my right sleeve. 

"Oh shit!" I exclaimed. The girl's parents ran up the stairs and looked at me and her. I couldn't get my sleeve down in time though. The woman came over to me and held up my arm. She gasped and let go of my arm. She stepped back and huddled up against her husband. I looked down and sighed. 

"Of course you're rejecting me. Why did I think I could return to a normal life?" I asked. I chuckled a little and went to the window. 

"We're not rejecting you, we're just... surprised by your appearance." the woman said. 

"It's just my appearance your surprised about?" I asked them. "Yeah." the woman's husband finally spoke. 

"Not my language? A lot of people would've yelled at me for that." I said turning back to them. "We don't mind it here. Well, to an extent." the woman's husband said.

"What're your names?" I asked them. 

"My name's Jessica. This is my dad, Brian, and that's my mom, Meredith." the girl said. 

"Nice to meet ya. I'm Zach. Zach Newman." I said. 

"Newman?" Meredith wondered. 

"Yeah. Why?" I asked. Meredith gasped and covered her mouth with her hands. 

"You can't be.." Jessica said wide-eyed. 

"What's your mother's name?" Brian asked. 

"Melissa, and my dad's name is Travis." I said. 

"Zach, they've been looking for you for years, why didn't you show yourself sooner?" Jessica asked. 

"Wait, how long have I been gone?" I asked. Meredith and Brian exchange worried looks. 

"Four years." Jessica said. "W-What...?" I stutter. "Yeah, what happened?" Jessica asked me worriedly. 

"Scientists. Rouge scientists from the future." I said. Jessica's eyes widen and she hugs me. I hug her back and just start to cry.

The next day was great, I was outside most of the day. I hadn't been outside in four years so I needed to get used to the sunlight and everything again. Jessica stayed with me the entire day. We just read books, watched TV, and talked. After dinner, Meredith came up behind me. 

"I just called your mother. Your family wants to see you as soon as possible." she said. 

"I'll go now then." I said getting up from the chair I was sitting in. 

"You sure?" Jessica asked me. 

"Of course, I've been waiting for four years." I said. 

"Alright then, I'll drive ya there." Brian said. 

"Thanks, I really appreciate it." I said. Twenty minutes of driving later, we had arrived at the house was so familiar to me yet, I almost didn't remember at all. I walked up the steps leading to the door. I hesitated to knock on the door though, but I eventually did it. After a few seconds, someone opened the door. It was a man with really dark brown hair and a goatee. 

"Hey dad." I said. 

"Zach, is that really you?" he said. 

"Yeah. Though, I've had some minor adjustments." I said raising my right arm and pointing to my right eye.

 "What happened?!" he exclaimed. 

"I'll explain later but, can I come in now?" I asked. 

"Of course." dad said sliding to the left. I walked into the house and looked around. 

"Hasn't changed a bit. At least, I think." I said. 

"Come on. Let's go." dad said patting my back. 

"Alright." I said. I turned around and waved to Brian. After he waved back, he drove off. I hugged my dad. 

"I'm so happy to be home." I said.
