It's raining quite a bit over here as of right now, and with my imagination's fires stoked, I decided to write a poem about it. Enjoy!

It drums and it batters,

It leaks and it scatters.

It conjures up a puddle, it feeds a lake,

Whilst the other whistles, and leaves whispers in its wake.

It can whisper, it can howl, and it can scream,

Whilst the other can babble, roar, and hiss,

One flits by, and the other flows in a stream,

And although they may not be much to behold, they are not quite hard to miss.
