We walked up to the guild doors nervous excitement bubbling in me as I looked for Natsu only to see him walking away. I ran up to him grabbing his hand and pulling him in the guild with me and Happy, Wendy and Carla behind all of us. Natsu didn't even fight back he just let me take him as he growled and hissed the whole time we were touching. Happy went to the bar to get who I assumed was the guild master. The guild members froze when they saw Natsu and then they saw who was with us and began to crowd. I was never good with large groups so I got angry making the air around us heat up. I didn't expect him to growl or the guild to back away in fear I whacked Natsu upside the head. 

He needs someone to teach him to be a human being. Natsu turned to me. His eyes full of anger and hate at the same time surprise flew to his eyes. He stepped closer to me snarling the whole way. The guild had become frantic and tried to grab hold of me. I hadn't noticed before, but he had dark markings on his neck that looked as if they were moving on their own. 

It was kind of mesmerizing to say the least. I only stopped because people began to get frantic and try and 'save' me all the while yelling and shouting that I was only able to hear a select few. 

"Don't kill the girls!"

"Spare them!"

"We have to save them!"

I need to control the situation because this isn't getting the girls and I to where we need to be in order to join the guild. Natsu glared at them and jumped to the second level of the guild and the action alone was enough to make the guild calm down and go back to their previous positions around the girls and I. That was kind of painful to see that they were afraid of someone and would calm down and act like they never were there until the person left. It was something I had personally witnessed because of my father doing it to Wendy and I. We had to hide Carla from him so he wouldn't separate Wendy and her. 

We were able to get our marks since all we need to do is introduce ourselves and say what our magic was. I almost couldn't believe how easy it was to get in, I will have to thank Natsu for bringing us here later. 

"I am Lucy and I am the Fire Dragon Slayer," they looked as if they were fish out of the water with their mouths opening and closing like they were. Luckily the attention was drawn away from me and towards Wendy. I may be a bit shy, open but shy. 

"I am Wendy Marvell," Wendy started as she bowed down. "I am the Sky Dragon Slayer, I have more of support magic than attack magic. This is Carla, my exceed."

The guild then cheered for having finally gotten nice dragon slayers. Many even began to dance around as the rest began a brawl with a person who accidentally punched a muscly man with white hair. A girl with long white hair and blue eyes came up to us and asked us where we wanted our marks and what color. Wendy went with a light blue on her right shoulder. Carla and I got pink, I got mine on the back of my right hand as Carla had to get hers on her back. 

"How come he isn't violent to you?" Levy asked me. Her brown eyes curious and scared. She and I became instant best friends because of our love for books. I shrugged and told them the encounter and the trip. 

"Honestly, he isn't very scary. I feel like he is misunderstood. I will learn about him in time, so I will wait for him to tell me."

When everyone left me to myself I sat at an unused table and relaxed. I need to find an apartment for me to rent for Wendy and I to live in. I will need to take a job after I do so I can get things ready for us to live on our own. I sighed and just got up seeing Wendy and Mira, the girl who gave us our marks, chatting it up. Apparently, Wendy wants to live in the guilds dormitory for girls on her own so I can live alone because she doesn't want to bother me more than she had already. 

"It isn't a bother because I would do anything for you, Wendy. If you want to live on your own, I am okay with that. Just don't do it if you want to stop 'being a bother to me'," I said to the small girl. Wendy shot up from her seat looking apologetic and ready to apologize. "Don't apologize because you are old enough to make your own choices, you're twelve years old for goodness sake!"

With a hug, I knew her answer and I smiled at her knowingly. I gave her seventy thousand jewels so she can get a room and some food for herself, I wasn't too worried since I still have a couple hundred thousand left. I took all that I had saved up from the estate we had lived in with my father. She will come to me if she needs help, I know she will and I will be right there waiting. I patted her head and told her I would be looking for an apartment or something to live in. I left the guild in search of a home.

It took a while but I ended up finding a cheap house to buy instantly, but I would have to pay what I gave Wendy monthly. It was so worth it though. 

It is a two-story house with three bedrooms, with one being a master room and two bathrooms. The house was a pale blue with brown doors and many open windows. In the backyard you have easy access to the forest, I am glad to have gotten this house. First thing is I need to buy some furniture and other household supplies and I have no time to lose.

TIME SKIP BECAUSE NATSU IS GETTING CRANKY SO SHE ALREADY FURNISHED THE HOUSE 

I got home and plopped myself on my couch tired out of my mind. I hadn't done so much lifting and moving since Igneel was training me, but I can blame my father since he forced me to be ladylike. It felt so good to do things for myself and I couldn't wait for my first mission. 

Getting up I made the walk towards the guild, which is only a fifteen-minute walk from my home.

When I got inside I was met with a tiny man who was looking at Wendy and Carla with a fatherly grin on his face. "Welcome to Fairy Tail!"

"Thank you," I said from behind him. Wendy and the others looked at me with grins of their own. "Has anyone seen Happy?"

A blue blur was sent into my chest and a pained yowl had escaped it.

"That should teach ya from pouring prune juice on me!" 

The man who said that was a naked man with black hair with deep, almost black, blue eyes. I glared so hard I would have made the guy pee his pants if he was wearing any. 

"Where is Natsu," I asked. Happy shrugged so I decided to wait a while longer to thank him.

"Did you say his name?" Another white-haired girl asked, but her's end just above her shoulders. She looked kinda surprised. Her big blue eyes held fear, but she also had a look of hope. 

I shrugged and began to move toward the mission board. "I'll find a job on the board." I stalked over and snatched one that caught my eye.

Apparently, someone wants a blonde to disguise herself as a maid and burn a book.

Fun. 

"Lushy! Can I come?" I looked to see Happy flying in front of me.

"Ask Natsu and I'll allow it."

"Why does he need to ask me?" I heard Natsu's voice say. I looked up to see him. I gave a small smile.

"It's respectful to ask someone who basically takes care of you. And it's also respectful to you so you won't wonder where he went."

The guild watched my conversation with Natsu as if we were animals in a zoo. It was apparent that Natsu would come along, to which people shrunk and gave me pitying looks.

With that, we walked out the door.
