*Udyan's pov*

It's been a little while since the attack. We had Lord Fourths and Lord Thirds funeral three days after everything. Naruko's shut herself off to everyone. Even Naruto. Selena has been a bit down but she still speaks to me. I'm glade she's not closed off like Naruko. Everything was going fine. Or as fine as it can.

Naruto and Lord Jiraiya went to find Lady Tsunade a week ago. They made it back yesterday and she's becoming Hokage today. We've all arrived at the ceremony but Selena, Naruko and I stayed in the back. We made sure to stay as far away from the shadows as possible because of Shikamaru.

"I have a feeling...we're going to be leaving soon... meet me later, by the waterfall." Naruko says with a seriousness to her tone.

"Alright." Selena says sighing.

"What for?" I ask curiously.

"I'll explain there." She sighs annoyed.

"Now to name the Chunin who have passed!" Lady Tsunade calls in a strong voice. "Nara Shikamaru! Uzumaki Naruko! That's all." She holds up two new head bands and Chunin vests.

"Hm? But we both forfeited in the middle of our matches?" Naruko asks standing in front of her with Shikamaru.

"Just because you forfeit doesn't mean you lost. You both were stuck in a situation that you couldn't get out of. You did a reasonable thing." She says sighing annoyed.

"Thank you, Lady Tsunade, Fifth Hokage." They bow and walk off stage not long after.

"I actually made it..." Naruko says shocked.

"Of course you did." I reply smirking at her. "You're Naruko Uzumaki! The greatest kunoichi of all times!"

"You're over exaggerating Udyan.. I'm not great." Naruko says with a deadpanned look.

"Neh! What happened to the fun loving Naruko?" I complain with fake tears. "Even more so, where's the amazingly, strong, yet kind Selena? You've been meaner lately." I pout.

"We're not the same, Udyan..." They say in unison. "We've lost everything."

"Correction, you haven't lost me. Stop being so mellow dramatic. I love you both, we're not just a team, we're family. We'll always stick by one another." I say pulling them both towards me and hugging them.

"The ceremony is over. Let's go to the waterfall. Split up for now and make sure you're not followed." Naruko says sternly. We nod and she disappears first.

"I'll see you there." I say to Selena as I let go of her.

"Yeah." She sighs. She walks the opposite way going around.

*Naruko's pov*

As I disappeared to the waterfall I sat outside of the hideout for a little bit waiting for the others. It was about ten minutes before Udyan arrived.

"Where's Selena?" He asks confused.

"Probably taking a different route. Were you followed?" I ask carefully.

"No. I don't think so. I didn't feel anyone." He says looking around. I nod and he comes to sit by me. We sit in silence for a little bit before Selena walks out of the bushes.

"Eh, sorry I'm late. I looped around to make sure I wasn't followed." She says smiling. I nod and motion the both to follow me.

"Careful of the traps." I say pointing several out.

"What are we doing here?" Selena asks looking around.

"Relax, we're here to speak with someone we thought was dead. He's been keeping an ear open, listening for information for me." I say slightly laughing. "I'd have said he's keeping an eye open and watching over us but he— ouch!" I yell as something hits me smack in the face.

"It's not nice to talk about people when they have good aim stupid." Shisui scolds coming out of the shadows.

"Sh-Shisui?!" Selena asks tears pricking her eyes.

"Yeah, it's me." He says smiling at her.

"We thought you were dead." She says hugging him.

"Naruko didn't inform you?" He asks with a hint of annoyance in his tone.

"No, she didn't." Udyan says and Selena glares at me.

"Eh! Sorry I've been busy coming up with a plan. I had a dream last night. Sasuke will either be captured or he'll go willingly in some kind of crate thing to Orochimaru." I say furrowing my eyebrows. "It wasn't a clear view of anything. Just Sasuke in a crate thing, sound ninja, and the rookies all chasing after. Except for us." I say seriously.

"What do you mean we don't chase after him?" Selena asks with wide eyes.

"When Sasuke leaves, we're going to break into the Hokage tower. Take a few scrolls with information we need, then we're leaving too. I've already created the dummies so it'll look like we were killed." I reply calmly.

"WHAT?!" Udyan and Selena yell at me.

"Keep your voices down." Shisui scolds. They mumble a small sorry.

"What about the Anbu and other ninja in the village?" Udyan asks.

"I knew I was forgetting something." I say sulking.

"Have you spoke to Itachi?" Shisui asks.

"He hasn't gotten back to me. I sent him a summoning a few days ago but he still hasn't replied." I sigh.

"It probably takes him a little bit." He sighs.

"You've been talking with Itachi?" Selena asks. I nod. "Why didn't you tell me?"

"Sorry. I've been busy. We'll see him and his partner soon." I say simply.

"You guys will need to be careful with whatever you do." Rin says from the entrance causing us to jump. "Sorry to scare you." She says sheepishly.

"It's fine Rin. Selena, Udyan this is Obito-Sensei's girlfriend." I say smiling. "Rin Nohara. Rin this is my team, Selena Uchiha, and Udyan Haruno."

"It's nice to finally meet you both." Rin says smiling. "I brought food, would you care to eat?" She asks holding up a large picnic basket.

"Yes please." Selena and Udyan says smiling.

"Thank you Rin." Shisui says with a light smile. "Are you going to eat Naruko?"

"No. I'm not hungry." I say looking away.

"None sense. You need to eat, stop being so stubborn." Rin scolds shoving some ramen in my direction.

"I'm not hungry, y'know." I say pushing it away.

"Naruko, are you sick? You're always hungry." Udyan asks putting a hand on my head. "You don't feel like you're running a fever."

"Signs Of depression are lack of hunger." Shisui states calmly. "I can understand, but you need to eat or you'll grow weak."

"I'll eat when I'm hungry." I sigh.

-time skip, a few days later-

"Sasuke." I call out his name.

"Hn? What?" He asks annoyed as he turns around. I smile lightly.

"Let's talk." I reply calmly. He eyes me for a minute but when I turn around and walk he follows. We walk in silence for a little bit. It was silent until we made it to the Hokage monument. We sat on Dad's Head because we can.

"What do you need Dobe?" He asks with annoyance in his voice.

"You've been distant to everyone." I say sighing. I pull out a small bento box and open it. "Want a tomato?" I ask holding the bento out to him with a small blush. He silently takes one and eats it.

"You've been distant too." He states after finishing his tomato.

"I guess I have been. They say I have depression, ptsd, and anxiety." I say with a small forced laugh. But it doesn't sounds the same.

"I know. I read your medical chart in the hospital." He sighs. I glance at him but then look up at the sky. The sun is setting.

"Do you hate me?" I ask trying to hide any bit of hurt. His head snaps to me and he's silent for a while.

"No. Actually. I feel like I should but I don't. You may have stopped me but I know you did it because I couldn't defeat him as I am now." He says as he furrows his brows.

"Good." I say sighing.

"Do you hate me? For stabbing you?" He asks looking away.

"No. I heal easily and it didn't hurt that bad." I reply. "Besides, it's not like Kurama would let me die even if I wanted to." I shrug. It's silent a little while longer.

"Naruko? If I left, would you come look for me?" He asks out of nowhere.

"Truthfully? No, because I know where you'd be."

"How?" He asks looking at me, I look at him with a small smirk.

"Because, Orochimaru owes me. But, I'm not saying anything more." I say smiling at him. He eyes me carefully.

"We promised no secrets." Sasuke states.

"I know. It's not a secret, I'll tell you when the time is right. It's just not right, right now. Y'know, That was really confusing." I laugh. He sighs and shakes his head.

"You're impossible sometimes." He sighs again.

"But that's why you love me~." I sing and giggle. He smirks at me and pulls me closer.

"Like I said, your impossible." He mutters as he tickles me. I squirm and laugh.

"Sa-Sasuke , Stop st-stop. Heheh." I laugh trying to get away from him.

"What's the magic word?" He asks still tickling me.

"Pl-please?" I ask laughing.

"No." He says tickling me more.

"Sa-Sasuke. Hehe. Stop." I laugh even more. I finally grab his hands, causing him to lose balance and next thing I know his hands are pining mine down and he's kissing me.

My eyes widen, Sasuke's eyes widen but we both melt into the kiss after a few seconds. We kiss slightly for a minute. Nothing major, nothing passionate. Well maybe a little passionate. His hand traveled to my waist, his other hand to my neck. Both of my hand traveled to Sasuke's waist. We pulled away for air but Sasuke put his head on mine.

"Don't disappear from my life Sasuke." I say bringing a hand to his check.

"I won't." He replies kissing my forehead. He gets up, and holds a hand out to me. "It's late, I'll take you home."

"Alright." I take his hand and we walk back to mine and Naruto's apartment. I sighed as the door was locked and I didn't have my keys.

"Does he lock you out often?" Sasuke asks.

"No. I forgot to grab my keys. He's use to me being out late and having my keys." I sigh.

"Why don't you stay at mine and Selena's place." He says shrugging. I blush slightly but nod, knowing he won't let me stay here alone. We walk to his house silently. It's about midnight or so.

"You're late." Selena says as we walk in. "Oh, Naruko. What are you doing here? Wait, did you two~?" She asks suggestively.

"WHAT?! No! Selena!" I whine my face bright red.

"That's our business." Sasuke says poking her forehead.

"Don't fuel her imagination!" I scold hitting his arm.

"So why are you here?" She asks after laughing.

"I forgot my keys and Naruto locked the door." I sigh annoyed.

"I see. Would you like some COLD food?" She puts emphasis on the word cold.

"I'm sorry Selena. Naruko and I got to talking." Sasuke says sighing while rubbing the bridge of his nose.

"You duck ass, should have said Selena was cooking! We would have been here earlier if that was the case." I sigh.

"You're Fine Naruko. You can have some hot food. Sasuke has to eat his cold." She says crossing her arms. I giggle at her motherly ways and Sasuke groans.

"Not fair." He mumbles. Yeah, none of us are the same after what's happened. But we are learning to deal with it. We're creating a good life for us. Well as good as it can get for now. But soon... I fear everything is going to change.

(Sooooo.... what do you guys think? This is getting crazy right? Just wait, things get crazier. If that's even possible. Today's Orochimaru's Birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY OROCHIMARU!
