*Naruko's Pov*

It was a calm day. Team seven was out on a mission to catch the cat Tora and team five was training. Even though we work together we don't do everything together. Selena and Udyan were working on Taijutsu to strengthen him some more. I was working and ninjutsu because I needed more then the fireball jutsu and the basics taught in the academy.

"Obito-Sensei! Check this out!" I called to him. He turned to look at me and nodded for me to go on. I'd been working on some wind Justus and I think I've got one down. Ox-->Dog-->Rat. "Wind Release; Wind Wall!" I call out, a small wind wall appears then disappears. I slump.

"Not bad Naruko. Hey guys!" Obito-Sensei calls. We all look at him and he motions us to stand in front of him. "Alright, we're going to do something a little different. You're all fast learners, so I have faith you'll be able to master this in a matter of a day, day and a half at most. Who here can tell me what chakra is?"

"Chakra is essential to even the most basic technique. Through various methods, the most common of which is hand seals, chakra can be controlled and manipulated to create an effect that would not be possible otherwise, such as walking on water, exhaling fire, or creating illusions. Chakra is ordinarily not visible to the unaided eye unless it is highly concentrated or manifested in large amounts. This is rarely seen due to the restrictions of eight specific tenketsu known as the Eight Gates, which limit the amount of chakra an individual can release at a single given time. [1]

"Chakra is created when two other forms of energy, known collectively as one's "stamina", are moulded together. Physical energy is collected from each and every one of the body's cells and can be increased through training, stimulants, and exercise. Spiritual energy is derived from the mind's consciousness and can be increased through studying, meditation, and experience. These two energies becoming more powerful will in turn make the created chakra more powerful. Therefore, practising a technique repeatedly will build up experience, increasing one's spiritual energy, and thus allowing more chakra to be created. As a result, the ninja is able to do that same technique with more power. This same cycle applies for physical energy, except the ninja needs to increase their endurance instead. Some unique individuals have substantial potential that enable them to exponentially increase their chakra reserves in a relatively short amount of time. [1]

"Because chakra takes time and a great deal of training to gradually build up, the key to its use is not actually having large amounts of chakra but instead being able to sufficiently control and conserve it. This is called chakra control. In order to have good chakra control, a ninja should only mould as much chakra as they need to perform a given ability. If they mould more chakra than is needed, the excess chakra is wasted and they will tire out faster from its loss. If they don't mould enough chakra, a technique will not be performed effectively, if at all, likely creating problems in a combat situation.[1]" Udyan gave a full detailed speech of what chakra is.

"This is what I mean. You three are smart and strong. You pick things up without having an experience." Obito-Sensei says very impressed.

"It's not hard to understand Sensei." Selena says shrugging.

"So what's this thing you want us to do?" I ask curiously.

"Tre-" he's cut off by a squawk of one of dad's messenger hawks. "We'll come back to the training. Let's go see Lord Fourth."

"Right." We all say as we walk to the Hokage Tower.

-time skip to the tower-

"I'm not a brat anymore! I'm a ninja now!" I hear Naruto yell. I walk in and smack him on the back of the head.

"You're still a brat Naruto." I say seriously. Then I smile at him. "But we love you anyways." I say hugging him.

"Naruko!! Get off! Get off! You're embarrassing!" Naruto yells while everyone else just stifles their laughs.

"Naruko." Dad says calmly. I let go of Naruto and stand with Selena. "You really want a more challenging mission?" Team seven all nod, except for Kakashi-Sensei. Dad looks at us, we look at each other then up to Obito-Sensei.

"I believe they're ready." Obito-Sensei says. We grin at each other.

"Okay then. You guys will get a simple c-ranked mission to escort Mr. Tazuna the master bridge builder back to the Land Of Waves." Dad says then looks to an ANBU in the room and waves him to bring Mr. Tazuna in. After a minute a man stumbles in the office with a bottle of sake in hand. I scrunch my nose up at the smell.

"What's this? A bunch of brats? You expect me to trust them? What's with the two short ones with the idiotic faces?" He threw off questions. I glared at him for insulting Naruto and I but didn't say anything.

"Haha! Who's the shortest two with idiotic faces?" Naruto asks. We all lined up beside each other, Sasuke being the tallest, then Udyan, then Selena and Sakura, then me and Naruto being the shortest. Naruto glares and went at him but Kakashi-Sensei held him back. "I'll kill you!" Naruto yells.

"You can't kill the client." Kakashi-Sensei says sighing.

"I'm surprised that you're not trying to kill him Naruko." Selena says.

"If I wanted to I could have by now. He's not worth my effort." I say shrugging.

"Alright you six, go on home and pack a bag." Kakashi-Sensei and Obito-Sensei call out in unison.

"If they keep it up with their creepy talking at the same time I might kill them." I mutter under my breath. Nobody heard me which was a good thing. We all went to our houses and packed our stuff. Naruto and I ran there happily.

"Mom!" I yelled as we got there.

"In the kitchen!" She yelled back. Naruto and I walked into the kitchen with large smiles. "I'm making shushi for dinner." She looks up at us and smiles. "What's got you two so happy?"

"We're going on a c-ranked mission!" We yell in unison grinning.

"Oh? So you won't be home for dinner." Mom says sadly but then smiles at us. "Why don't I help you pack your things."

"Alright." We say grinning.

-time skip to the gates-
*Udyan's pov*

"Udyan, Selena." Naruko says motioning us to follow her.

"Where are you three going?!" Sakura asks.

"I gotta talk to them." Naruko says simply.

"What if Kakashi-Sensei and Obito-Sensei arrive?" She asks dumbly, how are we related? She's smart but she's so stupid at times.

"We'll be back before then." I assure her smiling. She nods sighing. Selena and I follow Naruko away from everyone else.

"What do you want?" Selena asks leaning against a tree now.

"I think I figured out what Obito-Sensei wanted us to do." She says grinning.

"Huh?" We question.

"You know, when he asked us about the chakra stuff?" She asks.

"Well, yeah. What's that got to do with anything?" I ask confused.

"Think about it Udyan. He basically was telling us we weren't using enough chakra. I asked mom about it and she said that chakra training is important. We know how to use it but not efficiently. We either use too much or too little resulting in inefficient jutsu's." She states.

"Okay. I get it." I say waving my hand for her to go on.

"So how do we do chakra training?" Selena asks.

"Tree climbing without our hands. I don't know how to do it exactly but we can ask Obito-Sensei." Naruko says seriously.

"We'll ask about it." I say nodding.

-time skip leaving the village-
*Naruko's pov*

As we left the village Naruto jumped for joy. Team seven walked in front of Kakashi-Sensei, Mr. Tazuna and Obito-Sensei. I walked slightly in front of Obito-Sensei, Selena and Udyan walked in front of me talking. I turned and was walking backwards.

"Obito-Sensei?" I asked.

"Huh?" He asked looking down at me.

"Before we had to go to dad's office were we going to do Chakra Training?" I ask seriously. Nobody else heard us or were paying attention to us.

"Yeah. That's right. We'll do some of that when we get to the Land of Waves." He says nodding. We walk and talk for a little bit. Sakura was going on about something, Then it got quite for some reason. I saw a puddle which was really odd because it hadn't rained for a while. I gathered chakra in my foot and stomped in it. I heard a faint ouch and smirked. I dug my foot in the puddle and jumped up, pulling them up.

"Fire release; Fireball jutsu!" I yelled doing one handed hand signs. I aimed at them but they dodged quickly.

"WHAT?!" Everyone yelled. They wrapped their chains around Obito-Sensei and Kakashi-Sensei, tearing them apart.

"No!" I yelled shocked.

"You brat!" One of the yelled coming at me.

"You're the one who blew our cover." The other stated annoyed following suit. I moved last second, not knowing Naruto was right behind me. Sasuke saved him but he still got hurt.. I saw it, I felt it. Like it was myself who got hurt. I glanced at my hand then Narutos and saw blood.

Sakura and Udyan stood in front of Mr. Tazuna as Sasuke and Selena detached the two from their chains. They went at Udyan and Sakura, I moved quick and stood in front of them, Selena stood in front of Udyan. And Sasuke stood in front of me, a little too close if you ask me. Obito-Sensei and Kakashi-Sensei appeared and took car of them.

"If I would have known you'd freeze up like that Naruto I would have helped sooner. Good job though." Kakashi-Sensei says to the rest of us.

"Naruko, what were you thinking?" Obito-Sensei asks in a scolding tone I paled but not from being scolded. Naruto was poisoned and it was effecting me.

"Sorry Sensei. I thought I'd get them with my fireball jutsu." I say sighing putting the poison behind me for now.

"You're not hurt are you, scaredy cat?" Sasuke asks in mockery to Naruto. He goes to freak out and yell at Naruto.

"Naruto don't move! They had poison in their blades!" I yell freezing.

"Naruko! Your hand!" Udyan yells at me. I nod slowly. Sasuke looked at my hand then to my face. Kakashi-Sensei treated Naruto's wound after he had a small speech on how he was never going to give up. Because Sakura suggested we go home since this is clearly a b-ranked mission or higher. Obito-Sensei came and looked at my hand. I felt it heal instantly.

"Is this Kurama's work?" He asks me lowly. I nod and sigh. He wraps it anyway not to be suspicious to anyone else. We continued on our journey.
