*Selena's pov*

Udyan and I were walking with Naruko to the final test. She's been training in secret for a month but we didn't mind.

"How are you feeling Naruko?" I ask her.

"About the match or?" She trails off.

"The match. I know how you're feeling about that." I sigh. She's taken it the hardest since Itachi killed everyone.

"I'm confident I can win. I've got a few things up my sleeve." She grins.

"Hey, I heard that Shikamaru is going up against Temari instead of the other person. What was his name?" Udyan says.

"Dosu?" I ask.

"Yeah that's it." He says nodding.

"I heard he was killed." Naruko shrugs. "Oh well. Shikamaru will be fine." She says seriously.

"Hey, have you guys seen Sasuke anywhere? He's supposed to be the first match." Sakura asks running up to us.

"No. He's been training with Kakashi-Sensei he's probably picked up on being late." I say shrugging.

"Tch. I haven't spoken to him for a while." Naruko says annoyed.

"Oh, what happened?" I ask curiously.

"I'll go look around some more. Thanks anyway." Sakura says running off.

"He tried to kill me." Naruko says looking ahead. "I've got information to tell you after this. It's too risky here." She says strictly.

"Alright." Udyan and I say nodding. We made it to the ring.

"I'm going to go talk to dad." Naruko says jumping up to the balcony where Lord Fourth, Lord Third and the Forth Kazakage are seated.

"I wonder why he tried to kill her." Udyan mutters.

"Because she tried to stop Sasuke form killing Itachi. Him and his partner were after me." Naruto says from behind us. Causing us to jump.

"Huh?" We ask concerned as we turn to him.

"Yeah. I don't know the full detail of why. She's been low key about things lately." He says shrugging. "But it's her business, even dad and Ero-Sennin told me just to let her be." He says sighing.

"It's probably for the best. She knows what she's doing." I sigh.

*Naruko's pov*

I jumped away from Selena and Udyan to see dad. I know Lord Third and the Fourth Kazakage would be there but I didn't really mind. I stopped in front of dad and smiled.

"Naruko, what are you doing up here?" Dad asks.

"Would it be at all possible if Sasuke doesn't show up in time, for my match to be first?" I ask curiously as I smile.

"Always in a rush." Lord Third chuckled at me.

"Heh, what can I say." I laugh shrugging.

"If you would like. Now don't be so rude. Say hello to the Fourth Kazakage." Dad scolds.

"I'm so sorry." I turn to him and freeze for a second before bowing. I grit my teeth. "Hello, Lord Fourth. It's a pleasure to meet you." Orochimaru. I hiss in my mind.

"The pleasure iss mine." He chuckles. I glare at the ground.

"Uh, excuse me Lord Fourth." Someone knocks on the door. "Sasuke Uchiha still hasn't arrived and the matches are due to start soon."

"Move his match to the very last one. He was training with Kakashi Hatake. Move Naruko Uzumaki and Haku's match to the first." Dad says calmly.

"Of course Lord Fourth." He bowes to Dad and walks away.

"Alright Naruko. Ground rule, don't do anything I wouldn't." Dad smirks at me and I smirk back.

"Don't listen to him." Lord Third scolds us both. "Don't use your ultimate trump unless it's a due or die situation. Understood."

"Understood sir." I salute as I back up to the edge. "Now, my match is about to begin, sit back and enjoy the show." I laugh as I fall backwards off the ledge. I twist in mid air and land swiftly on my feet in the shadows.

"Due to a late arrival were switching the first and last match. Naruko Uzumaki vs. Haku will be the first match. Will the two competitors please make their way to the center?!" The protector, a new guys asks. Haku and I walk swiftly to the center.

"Haku."

"Naruko." We both greet each other.

"Alright, now the first to say they give up, or is rendered unable to continue will lose. Whoever wins will go on to the next round. Just because you win this round though, does not mean you will become a Chunin." The protector says. "Are you ready?" We nod. "Then, let the first match begin!" He yells jumping away.

Neither of us move though. I watch Haku carefully awaiting my chance to strike. Haku pulls out senbon needles, throwing them at me. I dodge and quickly appear in front of him slashing a kunai at him, but he blocks with a senbon needle. I jump back doing one handed signs. I hear tons of gasps in the audience.

"Fire Release; Great Fireball jutsu!" I yell sending a huge fireball at Haku.

"Too slow." Haku says from behind me. I turn but I don't move fast enough. He punches me, sending me flying. I hit the wall with a large crack. Haku uses this to his advantage and attacks again.

"Naruko! Get up! Come on!" Everyone cheers for me to move. Just as Haku is about to punch me I grab his hand.

"Not go-going to happen." I say pushing him away. I stand up and dodge the next attack.

"I didn't want to do this." Haku mutters. He begins to do his Ice Mirror trick.

"She's so screwed.." Sakura sweet drops.

"Why?" Ino asked.

"We faced Haku in the Land Of Waves. This is his trump, he's going to win for sure." Sakura says defeatedly.

"I've figured out this jutsu, Haku. I may not have earth release but I can definitely take you now that I've seen this before." I say grinning.

"We'll see." He says as the mirrors appear. "Shall we finish this?" He asks stepping in.

"Yes. Let's finish this." I smirk. Haku began throwing senbon needles at me, I quickly dodged but was hit by several. "Your speed has improved." I say through gritted teeth.

"As have your skills." He compliments. I smirk at him.

"I haven't begun yet." I laugh. As he's getting his next attack ready I bend down and take off my weights.

"Tch, what are a few weights going to do?" I think that was Temari.

"Didn't you say that when Lee and Gaara fought?" Kankurō asks annoyed as he leans against the railing. I drop my weights and everyone's mouth drops.

"She's gone up in weights... again." TenTen mutters wide eyed.

"That's so much better." I say after the dust had cleared. I now stand in a crater of about 30 feet wide and 10 or so deep.

"That won't help." Haku says calmly. "I've disabled your left arm already."

"Even so, I still have my right arm. I only need one hand to defeat you." I say smirking. He begins to run around in the mirrors again throwing senbon at me like normal. I dodge easily, accidentally destroying the mirrors.

"Wh-what?" He asks as he's thrown from the mirrors. I groan in pain slightly.

"That wasn't suppose to happen." I mutter laughing sheepishly.

"You're stronger then last time." Haku says sighing.

"Are you thinking of giving up?" I ask smirking.

"You wish." He says smirking. "You've fallen in my trap." That's when I realize I'd fallen in water. He makes quick hand signs before I have time to move. "Water Prison." I'm surrounded by water and he's holding it. I groan, I didn't think he'd do this so I didn't set up anything.

"Tch, looks like I have to give up. It's clear I can't win like this." I mutter to myself. "I GIVE UP!" I yell to the protector.

"Winner, Haku!" The protector calls and Haku releases me.

"You knew I wouldn't expect you to do that, huh?" I ask as we walk to the waiting area.

"I knew it would throw you off." He says smiling at me slightly. I grin and push him slightly.

"Not fair." I laugh. We make it to the others to see Naruto and Neji fighting.

"You did good." Shikamaru complimented.

"What? No she didn't. She lost! She gave up." Kiba says glaring.

"There was no what out of that jutsu. It's designed to stop you from moving. The only thing you can even do is talk, and even that takes strength." I say sighing. "Anyway, who's winning?" I ask.

"Looks like Neji..." Sakura says eyes filled with worry. I watch closely and smile.

"Naruto will win. He said he was doing this for Hinata, right?" I ask looking at said girl. Who blushes bright red and nods. "Then Naruto will win. When it comes to those he cares for, he'll do anything." I say nodding.

"Wanna bet on that?" TenTen asks smirking. "Neji just hit several chakra points on Naruto. He'll collapse soon."

"Bet." I stick my hand out to her. She takes it and we shake on it. I can feel my chakra points closing down and I gasp.

"What's wrong?" Selena asks.

"I-I can feel Nar-Naruto lo-losing Chakra." I say holding my side.

"What?" Everyone asks confused. Except Sakura, Selena, Udyan and Shikamaru.

"The nine tails connects you two. You feel everything that happens to him." Shikamaru states. I nod.

"But he doesn't feel anything that happens to you." Selena says sighing. I nod again.

"How?" Udyan asks. I shrug. I'm no longer able to talk, I can barely breathe. I lean against the wall.

"Come on, I'll take you to the infirmary." Selena says picking me up. I nod and before I make it I pass out.

*Third person pov*(Again, not typing out all the fights. I'm going to skip to right before Sasuke and Gaara's fight.)

Naruto has finished his match. He had won. Of course he had won. The next match was Kankurō vs. Shino. Who would win? Shino did, and it was impressive as well. After their match was Temari vs. Shikamaru. Shikamaru would have had her if he hadn't been low on chakra. Deciding to give up, Temari won. Naruto yelled at Shikamaru for giving up but Shikamaru didn't mind.

"Hey, what did I miss?" Naruko asks as she appears with the others.

"Shika gave up." Udyan says boredly.

"Hm? Why?" She asks looking at Shika.

"Not enough chakra." He says to her. She nods in understanding.

"You did the right thing then." She nods approvingly.

"Sasuke Uchiha vs. Gaara!" The protector calls. Gaara appears beside him and waits.

"Sasuke still isn't here?" Naruko asks concerned.

"No." Selena sighs.

"Do you think he chickened out?" Naruto smirks.

"NO WAY! SASUKE WOULDN'T DO THAT!" Naruko, Sakura, Selena and Ino yell at Naruto. Then they glare at each other, well Naruko and Selena only glare at Ino and Sakura.

"I guess this matc-" the protector gets cut off by a wind and some leaves.

"Sorry we're late. Sasuke's not disqualified is he?" Kakashi-Sensei asks as they arrive standing back to back.

"YOU SHOW OFFS!" Naruko yells she jumps down quickly and smacks them both.

"Naruko." Lord Fourth says sternly. Naruko sighs and nods going to her fathers side on the balcony. It was hard to hear from there.

*Naruko's pov*

I stood with dad, Lord Third and Well 'Lord Fourth' The Kazakage.

"That wass a very nice fight you had Naruko." Orochimaru says impressed.

"Tch. I didn't even get to play hard. I had a plan for everything except for the water prison." I sigh annoyed.

"Heh, typical Naruko." Dad pats my head.

"Your mother would be proud." Lord Third says smiling down at me. I look away and scowl.

"No, she would have encouraged me to find a way out." I say bitterly. I go to the back of the room and stand against the wall. No longer interested in watching Sasuke's match. I closed my eyes and waited.

"The Winner is Gaara!" The protector yells. I lift my head up and sigh.

"How injured is Sasuke?" I ask curiously.

"Injured enough." Dad sighs. "Maybe You should go see him?" Dad suggest.

"I think not. The nexxxt match isss about to begin." Orochimaru hisses in delight. Naruto and Gaara stood in the middle but then I noticed a genjutsu being cast.

"Kurama! Help me!" I called slamming my fist together.

"Already on it kit." Kurama's gruff voice calls.

"Naruko, stay out of this fight." Dad and Lord Third demand. I nod and let them do their thing. Orochimaru puts us in a purple box like thing.

"I take it I can't get out to help them?" I ask pointing towards the door.

"No. Sssit down and shut up." Orochimaru demands annoyed with my presence.

"Well we all know I'm not one to sit out of a fight." I say sighing. Two coffins appear and my eyes actually sparkle. "That's so cool." I say amazed.

"Naruko, focus!" Lord Third scolds.

"Eh, sorry sir." I say seriously. I get into a stance by Dad and watch carefully. I stare amazed that I almost don't notice when Lord First And Lord Second step out of the coffins. "This is bad." I say wide eyed.

"Don't worry Naruko." Dad smiles down at me. I try to smile back but can't. I've seen this before. Some how I've seen this before and I know the outcome isn't going to be good.
