I was in the library of A'Ying's workshop as he worked. I wanted to know what kind of books he had specifically. A good amount of them I haven't heard of before. Some of them were basic book and scrolls about simple magic and cultivation that almost all cultivators should know.

A'Ying had plans to make Yanli a new weapon, a whip of some sort. It would make sense for her to have one. She should have Zidian if I were to give it to anyone. She would be more responsible with it. The whip is to help fight and defend just like her fan and wind cultivation. A whip is not meant to be used unruly and for bullying others.

I hate that A'Ying knows what Zidian looks like, feels like, sounds like. He has experienced that whip since he was a child. Wanyin used it on him recently, speaking of, he used A'Ying's biggest fear against him, dogs. He knows just how much A'Ying fears them, he has every right to fear them, he was chased and tortured by them as a child. I don't know if Wanyin knows the whole story as to why he is afraid of dogs but I do not care if he doesn't know, he shouldn't use them to his advantage, tease him or bully A'Ying at all about it.

I took some time from reading to check on A'Ying. When he saw me standing in the doorway, he motioned me over.

"Is something wrong?" I asked.

"No, I have something for you, it will be helpful between us," he said.

"What is it?" I asked.

He handed me a bracelet that had a white stone on top. It was simple but elegant.

"They are called, Línghún (Soul) Bracelets. I made one for myself as well, but the stone will blink red and the metal will become warm if the other is in danger. If the stone stays red, that means the others life is in real danger. If the stone fades black, the person is dead. There is also a tracking talisman on them. With just some spiritual energy to activate it each time and it will lead you to me. It is something that will be helpful because we fear to be apart but this can help us get a piece of mind," he explained.

I looked at the bracelet then at him and smiled, "it's beautiful, and I love it. I am happy you made it," I told him.

He smiled back and kissed me on the cheek, "I should get back to Shijie's weapon."

"Do you want to stop and eat something first, it is lunch time?" I asked.

He thought for a minute, "yeah, I am a bit hungry," he said.

I chuckled, "let's go eat then," I said taking his hand and led him to the dining hall.

We sat with Shufu, Shijie, and Xiongzhang, the normal group of people we eat with. We ate in silence as the rule, and after we ate we talked for a bit.

"How are you feeling today, A'Xian," xiongzhang asked.

"I am feeling good today," he said, "I finished one project and I will work on my next one here shortly."

"What did you make?" Shijie asked.

"I made these bracelets," he showed them, "the stone will blink red and the band will got hot if either of us is in trouble. If the stone stays red, that means the others life is in real danger. There is also a tracking talisman on them. With just some spiritual energy to activate it each time and it will lead A'Zhan to me or me to him."

"That is a really useful tool," My brother said, "I know you made it for the both of you, but maybe something like that would be useful for family."

"I can make similar ones, just a different design so they don't look the same as ours," A'Ying told him, "I am sure you would like one for shijie and your brother, correct?"

"That would be useful," brother said.

"Wuxian, how do you think of these things?" Shufu asked.

"I just try to think of current situations and what could be useful for it and the future. These bracelets will be helpful. I know A'Zhan has had panic attacks when he is worried about me so I thought this might help him. Plus it was a scare for the both of us when I was taken. I don't want A'Zhan to panic like that again," A'Ying explained.

"I am grateful you made something to help ease his mind," My brother said, "what other things are you working on?"

"Shijie's whip," he answered.

"I am okay with a whip but why?" She asked.

"Just another weapon," he said, "it's good for fighting and defending. I'm making it suitable to your character."

"So will it have similar powers to Zidian?" She asked.

"It will have different powers," he told her, "it will be fit for your character and fighting style, as I said."

She nodded, "well, I am patiently waiting for the final product."

"I think I'll head back now," A'Ying said.

"I will join you in a minute," I said, "can I trust you alone for five minutes again?"

"I will defend myself better this time if I have to," he said.

"I'll walk with him," Shijie said, "my living quarters is that way anyway."

I nodded and watched them leave. I stayed back to speak with Shufu and Xiongzhang, "Any news on Jiang Cheng?" I asked once we were alone.

"He is back in Yunmeng," Shufu said, "we requested for him to be brought here to hand over our core ripper and to face charges for kidnapping an heir's fiancé. Plus there are other charges to that, such as harassment, endangerment, unlawful imprisonment, and so much more. His crime is to remove his core and remove his status as the next heir."

"If that's the case, who would take over after Jiang Fengmian?" I asked.

"That would be something for you and your brother to discuss. As daughter to Fengmian she also has rights and as head disciple, Wuxian also has the right. Which you would also have that role to play since you are engaged to him," Shufu explained.

"I know he deserves it all but should we run it by Shijie and A'Ying?" I asked.

"We will discuss it before the trial in three days. How about we meet tomorrow to discuss it and that gives you time to discuss thing?" Shufu suggested.

I nodded, "is that fine with you Xiongzhang? I am okay with it. Getting Wei Ying away from work will be a bit difficult, though."

"We can discuss it at his workshop," Brother said, "and I am okay with it. It is up to Yanli and Wuxian to talk over mostly. We just have to support their decisions."

I nodded, "until then, I will not mention anything. I am going to head back to A'Ying."

"Okay," they said as I bowed to them and walked out.

Fengmian will go into seclusion once Wanyin's title is stripped and his core taken. Before that happens at all, they will want proof that Wei Ying did not kill Yu Ziyuan. Even though there are plenty of witnesses, to them it would be hearsay or favoritism. We need to find the real culprit. How do we lure him out?

He may not like it, but shijie or I could play bait? Or if Jiang Wanyin ends up dead then we really need to find evidence. If anyone would have a grudge, Wei Ying would have one over Wanyin.....then it hit me. He would be targeted next. Even if Wanyin was with the person who blamed Wei Ying, that person could turn in Wanyin. I turned around and quickly went back to Shufu and my brother.

"Wangji why are you back so suddenly?" Brother asked.

"I have a hunch," I told them.

"What?" Shufu said.

"Madam Yu died and Wei Ying was to blame because he had supposed grudges," I told them.

"Yes, that would be the story," Brother said.

"What if now, Wanyin is the next target? He kidnapped Wei Ying and now that he is free, who would think he would have a grudge and want revenge?" I informed them.

"The real killer," Shufu said, "I will send an emergency message to Yunmeng. I want you to stay with Wei Ying and Yanli at all times."

I nodded, "keep me informed."

"Good thinking Didi," Brother praised, "I am proud of you, now let's get to A'Li and A'Xian."

I nodded and we went to the workshop. Luckily they were both there. Without telling them the Wanyin's title situation, we informed them of the culprit to come out because of Wei Ying's kidnapping. Wei Ying and Shijie agreed to remain by our sides for the time being until the truth is revealed.
